Grade Level Expectation : Questions

GRADE LEVEL EXPECTATION: 800-1000 words, 5 paragraphs, good transitions, and corrections made in paperrater.com to 85% and 3 greens.
Paragraph #1: Claim-The topic you researched. You will try to passionately, factually, or humorously get to the bottom or truth of an issue. Minimum of 7 sentences, but grade level writers will reach 8-12.
Paragraph #2: Your best reason with sites, quotes/evidence, and explanations to back it up. Grade level writers will be at 12+ sentences with no more than 3-4 sentences in quotes. In other words, more of you speaking than others.
Paragraph #3: Your 2nd best reason with sites, quotes/evidence, and explanations to back it up. Grade level writers will be at 12+ sentences with no more than 3-4 sentences in quotes. In other words, more of you speaking than others.
Paragraph #4: Counterclaims and rebuttals=What the other side says and how you can show them a different truth. Use lots of facts, data, math here instead of opinions. Once again, no more than 3-4 sentences in quotes.
Paragraph #5: The conclusion can be a call to action. What should happen in the world that sounds reasonable, do-able, an improvement, something people can rally around and say, “Let’s do this!”
Advanced writers might add more paragraphs, add scenarios that we can imagine, or use their own format instead of this.
