Graded Unit Plan
Interpretation Of The Brief
The graded unit is a piece of work that will showcase my skills that I have attained whilst studying the HND course and it will present my knowledge of the music business to the best of my ability. With this piece of work, it should open a lot of doors as a future employee to the music industry.
The graded unit project consists of a project and an interview that will take place with someone, whether that is an employer or someone who has had a consistent role in the area that you are presenting about. The whole project itself must contain areas of all of the course modules and how it has helped me construct this piece of work.
By the end of the year I should have a detailed portfolio

By doing the graded unit piece, this disciplines me on how to structure my work rate and it will give me a better idea on how to work when going into further study or when going into the music industry work place.
By doing the graded unit I will be able to respond quickly to changes in the workplace effectively and use my skills that I have gained from the graded unit to the best of my ability. This means that I won't hesitate at any job role that comes up when working in the music industry. Also by having the skill to work quickly and effectively, this will build my reputation and I will have more options for work down to my reputation as a performer.
By the time the graded unit is finished, I will understand the general idea on how the music industry works and it will help my general skills also when communicating and working at the top of my game. This will keep me busy in the music industry and will set me off to a lengthy career in the music industry.
When completing the graded unit portfolio, I will need to make sure that all of the units that are required in my portfolio as this will help me when it comes to presenting my portfolio in the interview and when submitting the graded unit. I will need to plan how I am going to structure the graded unit and make sure that all of what is asked is being covered when referencing the mandatory units.
Education is a long-term investment. We, as students, work hard to acquire knowledge and to hone our skills so that we may use them one day. The effort we put into a single assignment should be considered as both for that specific assignment and for our rounding as complete, educated individuals. And with this mindset, students should be motivated even more to put more effort and hard work into academics, with the goal of bettering themselves for the future and advancing their prospects as individuals. And with this hard work and effort will come progress, and this progress should be reflected in the grading—not necessarily on individual assignments, but on the student’s education as a

Freshman Band- Freshman is included in my curriculum because this allows the directors focus on the development of 9th grade students understanding of music and fundamentals. Skill ranges will vary but those that are “rising stars” will be placed in musical leadership positions that they may not obtain if they were in the upper level ensembles.
I will organize my work around the “Introduction to production” course I teach at Point Blank College. It is a “music technology” course that is recognised by the British educational system (NOCN level 2). The key aims of the course consist in: -Guiding students to acquire basic compositional techniques and develop their personal career. -Developing the student’s self motivation that will allow them to integrate the music industry I have
This semester has been an immensely enjoyable experience and has taught me things I never thought I would learn. Learning how to actively listen to music has forever changed my outlook on music in general. For the midterm assessment, I wrote that I thought something that has been particularly interesting to me were some of the more abstract pieces such as Black Angels, where I was able to finally find the artistry in what otherwise seemed like a random, bizarre collection of sounds. During the second half of the course I was able to take the skills we learned in the first half that made me appreciate the artistry in these pieces and reinforce them to the point where I could apply them to some of the songs I would hear on the radio everyday which brought the course full circle for me. Before this course began, I listened to music simply at face value, and was never someone to look much deeper into the artistry behind the songs we all love. I really only listened to more popular music on the radio just for the catchy tune. After an entire semester of fine tuning techniques to develop a deeper understanding of the music that I listen too, I find myself gravitating towards music that I would have never listened to otherwise and developing an appreciation for the artistry in all genres of music.
At times school districts can place restrictive or ambiguous grading criteria over music programs. In many cases these are the grading criteria lifted straight from core classes, and although music education should be equal in importance, taking a one-size-fits-all approach is not the right course of action. Over the course of my research I have encountered several scenarios where the schools preferred the music educator to simply grade off of effort and attendance, especially if this was common practice by the previous music teacher, or if this system is used by other electives such as physical education or any other electives the students participate

Project Requirement: As per project requirement as a team we need to select a project based on different criteria like timing of project, complexity, probability of success and enjoyment of team. We need to execute the project as per the project management methodology and prepare different documents during life cycle of the project starting from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control and closure. One of the team member has to take leadership role of project manager and guide the team during project execution. At the end of semester we need to submit a project notebook with detailed summary of project and different documents generated during project.
