I did not previously intend to graduate early but due to circumstances beyond my control, I decided it would be best for me to use the time I would spend in my second semester working and setting aside money for college. I had most of my graduation requirements completed from my previous high school and by the time I enrolled in my current high school many of the classes I had planned to take were already filled.
Education has been an important part of my life since a very young age. Growing up I have always strived to do my best in school. In my sophomore year of high school I realized how important education was to me and decided that I wanted to be a teacher. From Elementary School to College I have always been close with my teachers and professors. I still visit and talk too many of them today, this made me realize that I wanted to be that teacher for my future students.
In my first semester of college at Concordia, I had the opportunity to have the class EDU 120. A requirement for this class was having 10 hours of fieldwork; at least 3 hours in each level of childhood. The reason for this requirement is to help the students discover what grade level they want to teach in the future.

Early education for children is very crucial as it helps shape up the foundation of their knowledge and behavior development process. Children begin to develop the sense of curiosity from the age of two. Early children education (ECE) has been listed as the number one priority of the National Association of Education. The teachers or educators at nursery and primary level are responsible to for developing young children’s sense of knowledge and education. We had the opportunity to sit-in at two different primary schools, and each provided us with valuable insight into the early education system in Ireland. The first school we visited was an all Irish-speaking Catholic school. The second was an educate-together primary school. The educate-together primary school differed from the educate-together secondary schools we had visited in that they did not require students to wear uniforms. These two schools fundamentally differed in many ways both from the secondary schools and from one another.
During this class, we have discussed many topics from the importance of Early Childhood Education, through all of the developmental stages and into the roots of behavioral issues. I’d have to say out of all the topics, the importance of Early Childhood Education and how children develop and learn from week 2 is what has stuck out the most to me. I have even found myself explaining the importance to friends, with information I have learned from this course.
An individual is defined by their personality, attitude, interests, emotions and most notably, intellect. The intelligence of an individual gives an insight into how their early years in life most likely happened as well as how they approach education and the attention for knowledge. It’s not possible to force someone to be the ideal person who is smart, handsome and athletic. However, work can be done to influence someone to follow a specific path. Convincing someone to pursue an athletic career would require motivation to be physically fit and healthy. Developing an individual into an intellect requires education and education stems from schools. An early education may guarantee a smart individual with immense knowledge of any subject they
After 30 plus years working in the Early Childhood Educating field, I have a wide variety of experience and education that I can share with my students. I eventually helped open and start my own state preschool as a teacher and director. I am currently learning the management side of Early Childhood Education as I am a Regional Manager of the Head Start Programs.

Due to the fact that I am an early education major, I have compiled this proposal for future reference. Over the next few weeks, I will be engaging the idea of providing an adequate number of textbooks and resources for each student in the classroom. It is apparent to me that this is a relevant issue within several schools that I had the privilege and opportunity to observe. I learned that by requiring this act as a necessity students and staff would be benefiting in numerous ways. In order to make this proposal possible, I will need to discuss the many areas of providing textbooks with the superintendent and principals at Columbia Elementary School. I will deliver information that I have come across, find reliable sources and articles about
(a) I went to Community College of Philadelphia to obtain my Associate’s Degree in Applied Science of Early Education. I further my education at Chestnut Hill College; with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science of Human Services, minor psychology. I will be graduating in August of 2017. (b) I am currently an Academy Director for a childcare center in the urban neighborhoods. A year is shortly approaching for me to be the Academy Director at the center; however, I been with the company for over seven years. This paper will critically discuss, compare and contrast High/Scope, Reggio Emilia to Te Whariki, at the end of this paper the author will talk about own philosophy of early childhood education.
