Good afternoon Ms. Chambers,
I am Pledge Samiyah Mubarak of the Beta Zeta Pledge Class.
It was great to meet you this past Sunday at the first Pledge Meeting; I am anticipating a challenging but enjoyable ten weeks under your leadership, surely getting to know the brotherhood, fellow pledges, and myself even better.
Through my research, I find that you have had remarkable campus involvement at UCF and extensive work experience, even in fields that were different than that of your degree specialization. I'm very interested in hearing what inspired your transitions. Specifically referencing your move from Marketing Assistant to Billing Specialist within the Johnston Law Firm, I would love to hear a couple tips on ways to make yourself marketable
Hello, My name is Maisie Johnson and I am the program chair for our Beta Club. I enjoying doing many things which include, FCA, Cheerleading, and of course the wonderful Beta Club. This club has taught me how to get involved and contribute to my school and Manning High Beta will forever be in my heart for that!
I am very excited to get started. I know that there will be challenges and I will be ready for them. My pledge grandpa, David Eagen, gave me
I wanted to thank you for allowing me to come by yesterday to see your venue, as well as to discuss options for our event. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future and for the possibility of working with you.
I have the distinct pleasure of welcoming all of you into the National Honor Society, a group built off of high standards of achievement, not only in the area of academics but also in character and leadership. I congratulate each of you and your parents.
As a diverse student, in a very low income community I have always been known to standing up for others, as well as for myself. Having this natural drive i found myself taking a huge role in our high school Beta Club. As a natural leader, I was challenged with the opportunity to represent our high school’s Beta Club Chapter while running for North Carolina Beta Secretary. Although I felt experienced as a leader, I was really nervous to get up in front of all of North Carolina and give a speech at the Beta Club convention. Although I was nervous, I opened my mouth, and the words just began to come out. My fears went away, and I addressed everyone on topics of educational improvements and opportunities for all students to succeed. I used this
I am an active member of my school and community. At school I feel that i've gained the respect of my peers being elected as Student Council representative for the past four years. I have also been elected the treasurer of the choir, and secretary of the band. I am part of the Ross Middle School bucket drumming group and have been casted as part of the school theatre’s annual play. After school on Wednesdays I assist Ms. Rullman in helping students with homework and enhancing study methods. I am currently participating in science olympiad and have in the past. I am also an anchor on the popular Good Morning Ross Middle School weekly news show. In addition, I have been a part of National Junior Honor Society which takes part in service projects
This experience has provided me the opportunity to speak with CEOs, finance executives, CPAs, entrepreneurs, politicians, lawyers, and more that have spoken at club gatherings. I obtained valuable insight on the rewards and challenges of these careers, as well as priceless advice on the best route to success in all those professions and things to avoid doing. I was even able to gain tips about transitioning to the UC system from those who’ve graduated from a UC. I have also taken part in numerous trips to different University of California campuses and have met and received advice from transfer students from NVC. That advice ranges from services offered at their school’s transfer centers, managing the quarter system, how to prepare for finals week at the UC level and more. Taking advantage of resources such as these during my time at NVC has played an instrumental role in preparing me for my major and the rigors of the upper division courses that await me at the University of
That is exactly what I did. I am glad I fought because if I didn't fight I wouldn't be here today to tell you my story that has made me who I am today. Even though I had some difficulties learning in school I didn't get discouraged I tried my hardest and wouldn't give up and because I didn't give up I am currently nineteen years old and about to graduate from high school and have been on honor roll for four years in a row and was inducted into The National Honor Society my sophomore.
Throughout the semester, while reading the For the Record documents, my mind always wandered back to one central idea: humans too easily dehumanize one another. Many of documents illuminate injustice and reflect how the author respected or disrespected other humans. The documents show who the author deemed human. It makes me wonder, when in my life have I either intensely valued another human or ignored the humanity of another?
Never in a million years did I plan on joining Greek life in college. When I got to school I quickly decided that I wanted to be more involved and help make a difference in people’s lives. I decided to rush a sorority which happened to be Delta Gamma. Delta Gamma has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities to make a difference. When the Whited family reached out to our chapter here at IUP I knew this would be something I would remember doing for years to come. The Whited family came to one of our chapter meetings and we got to meet little Lochlan who touched all of our hearts. I have had so many wonderful opportunities from this organization already and have received such great experience by joining
Good morning Principle Boyd, proud parents, faculty, and fellow graduates, to this extraordinary celebration breakfast, in honor of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School Class of 2017. Yes, I am graduating 8th grade, but I still have to make my bed, be nice to my siblings, do my chores, I cannot drive a car, I must continue putting my Iphone into my locker every night, so that I will not be grounded! Nevertheless, I am graduating from Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, and I feel like I found a pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow.
I hope you guys had a great weekend. I am writing to see your availability the week of January 16th or 23rd . Sacred Heart Emerald Coast (58 bed) in Miramar Beach FL has booked a restart service week. Implementation will complete all of their work remotely and we (CSM) will complete the training of the BMS solution. Josh, I checked with Jim and he is booked, so I want to see if you are available one or two days of the requested dates.
I would first like to thank everyone who makes Keizer University Orlando Campus, represented by Dr. David Hubbard. If Keizer has an excellent team work this is due to the management led by you for so many years. My first contact was with my dear Consul Loyal Ray who welcomed me with great enthusiasm and encouraged me and made me believe that I could get my age back to study after 27 years of training in my country of origin Brazil. Then my second contact was with Mr. Dr Hubbard in my Orientation. I heard through your speech that Keizer treats the students as a person, not as a number. And that you have fulfilled in all the 3 years that I have lived here. I learned a lot here at Keizer and I have grown up as an American citizen
The Tau family tries to budget their money to the best of their ability, but does leave room for entertainment and dining out. Ms. Tau plans monthly trips to the movies with her three grandchildren and they are able to attend discount ticket days. Ms. Tau budgets $50 for the outing. She also pays $75 per month for a family membership to the local YMCA. Her 9-year-old granddaughter enjoys sporting programs and this allows all the grandchildren to participate in events and classes throughout the year. Dining out occurs on their bi-monthly trip to visit the grandchildren’s mother in prison. With the 8-9 hours of driving round trip, at least one meal is purchased along the way. Ms. Tau packs lunches for the trip when money is tight and provides snacks to cut down on extra spending. The family’s dining out budget is at or below $200 each month.
Alma College was founded in the 1880’s by local Presbyterians from Scotland. While the college maintains a close connection with the Presbyterian Church, they welcome students of all religious backgrounds. Alma College offers students their unique four-year graduation promise, which is called the Alma Commitment, which pledges that students who meet their program’s requirements and cannot graduate in eight terms will not have to pay for their ninth term. The college also pledges that all students will have opportunities to participate in special programs, like internships, study abroad semesters and research fellowships. Each student that is accepted is given up to $2,500 from the college.
