I am currently doing my internship at this senior center and it is based on the ten core competencies of Eastern’s B.S.W. Program. I am extremely excited to be applying for the 2017 Instructional Assistant summer session position. I see this as not only a job, but a great opportunity to gain hands on experience within the field of special education. I currently attend Old Dominion University and major in speech pathology & audiology, with a minor in special education. I have two more semesters to complete before I graduate and attend graduate school. I have completed all of my special education classes and I have a total of 3 more speech classes to complete. Therefore, I am familiar with special education, communication disorders, assistive technology, and individuals who are deaf and hard of hearing.
On January 17, 2012 a request was made for permission via email from principal, Roger Edwards to complete my internship at HCHS. He responded the same day and granted me the approval by email. See email 1A.
Internships are available to students who are interested but they are limited. Daytime classes are held
I. I am targeting an internship in the northeastern Ohio region preferably in the Youngstown-Warren region.
I am also a Resident Assistant for the second consecutive year. I hope that this will help me when I apply for summer internships in the spring semester. An internship will be crucial to my success and I will do everything within my reach to obtain one.
You also mentioned candidates would need to interview with you prior to applying to districts. Please let me know when we can schedule a meeting to discuss my experience and why I feel I am a good candidate for an internship.
This particular internship should be available to all students and should be greatly encouraged among the Douglas High School staff. As I was capable of seeing new and unique things, the career internship in OB came with great excitement and
Which leads me to my next item, BIS 401. Was it such a choir to apply for an applied internship and to register for BIS 401!!! Which I am still not registered for, even though my Applied Internship was submitted and approved last week. At least two months in advance I began asking various ASU personnel for help/information on how to go about orchestrating the paperwork /project planning and

Throughout my internship, I learned skills to work in any field of study. I learned many redirecting strategies, and expanded my communication skills both with professional staffing and students. My time at Carbondale Elementary School taught me many values, how to respect and accommodate to the students’ unique needs and disabilities, and how to teach in a way that is a appropriate for many different grade levels in order to get the most successful results. I also learned the importance of teamwork not only have open communication with professional staffing, but having open communication with the population being taught in the classroom. Its important to engage in questions and make sure not only the students are getting the best learning experience possible but also myself in order to successfully reach their needs and expectations. Also establishing a relationship with other people in your department and school is key. In order for a
Assignment 1, due on September 6th, requires the DHH intern to submit a one-page summary including due dates of all the assignments required by the course, EDSP 5093: Internship for Deaf Education Teachers Part 1 (Fall 2016). The intern is also required to ask clarifying questions about Assignment 1 (or simply indicate “I have no questions,” otherwise) and to develop an assignment calendar, which will be completed and due with the internship summary at the end of the Fall Semester.
English class seemed to be the most dreadful to take within school. Writing essays for most of my grade in a class is not what I was looking forward too. When I entered college I knew that it would be one of many challenging classes I would have to take. Starting from the lowest English class to moving on up, the writing assignments became longer and more thought out. The time came when I got into this class that I knew more work was going to have to be put into essays and thus brought out what I had not seen before in my work progress.
