“Graduation” By, Maya Angelo, is a wonderful story of an excited young African American young adult graduating from middle school. The whole town of Stamps, Arkansas was buzzing with excitement for the classes that were graduating from the grammar school and high school that spring. People that have already graduated were even excited to help with the preparation for graduation. Angelo went into detail about how, “teachers were respectful of the now quiet and aging seniors, and tended to speak
fear. In high school, I always had assignments where I would have to speak out in front of the class, and I would hate it. My voice would tremble and my hands would shake uncontrollably. Unfortunately, I have always been a shy person and that conflicted with me having to be able to speak in front of a big group of people. However, when I was younger, I found ways to get out of doing plays or speaking, but when I got older I couldn't get out of it. I would feel embarrassed when I would be talking and
number one fear in America. When I was in high school, I always had assignments where I would have to speak in front of the class, and I would dredge it. My voice would tremble and my hands would shake uncontrollably. I have always been a shy person and that conflicted with me having to be able to speak in front of a big group of people. When I was younger, I found ways to get out of doing plays or speaking, but when I got older it was no way. I would feel embarrassed when I would be talking and people
for me there was a lot of ups and downs, but it got easier once I took things more serious and not as a joke. Having that feeling of knowing that your family members are proud of you is an amazing feeling and having my grandmother explain to me how she felt on my graduation day was heartwarming. The day of graduation I was a nervous wreck, but it was all worth it in the end. Graduating changed my life in a lot of different ways that I wouldn’t have expected but only for the better.. I was introduced to a short story called “Indian Education” by Sherman Alexie about a boy named Junior and the struggles he faced throughout school because he was Native American. Growing up, I never saw myself as one of those people who graduate high school and then off to a four-year college they went. It was hard enough just to imagine attempting, let alone succeeding, at a two-year college. Even though, I had wondered what it might have been like to experience dorm life at a college in another town, even state. But, for me, after high school graduation, I was enrolled at the Community College. It didn’t take long for me to realize College life probably wouldn’t continue
It's a tough business speaking at graduation. When the Vice President spoke this year at Notre Dame University, students walked out on him. A couple weeks ago in California, students protested the Dalai Lama when he came to speak. These are famous people. The students here at Newfane Senior High decided to play it safe and invite somebody with a lower profile. Here I am. Where are the protest signs? It is considered an honor to give a graduation speech. But I can assure you, there is no greater

I am finally at the end of my journey and my graduate degree from Walden University is almost in my hand. Walden has asked me to give a speech at the graduation ceremony. When I was asked to do this, I was not sure what I would say. I spent some time thinking about my past year at Walden, and all of the things that I learned. I went from not knowing what to say when I was originally asked to having an abundance of things I could say about Walden. My future is bright thanks to Walden University
This story is about how I won my last show. I worked extremely hard and it was my last show, so I wanted to go out with a bang. I explore the reason why I worked so hard and how it all paid off in the end. I started the fair off on the wrong foot with sick animals and ended up winning the show. It was my last year in 4H and my last time showing in the ring; I wanted to end my showing career with a bang. I was showing an energetic and adorable pig named Winchester, Wes for short. On the way to show
