I want to thank my family for giving me the opportunity to receive a private education and for encouraging me to always do my best. Thank you to my friends and their parents who have loved me and believed in me. Most of all, I want to say thanks to God for giving me the gifts He has and for loving me unconditionally; for without Him, I am nothing.
It is hard for me to believe that we are graduating from high school; time has flown by. At the beginning of freshman year I remember being scared and wondering just how I would fit in and if I would make friends or not. Our teachers not only educate and encourage us, but they also mentor us and believe in us. Ten years from now I may not remember a thing about Calculus, but I will remember the love and dedication of our teachers. They know when to challenge us, when to discipline us, when to encourage us, and when to laugh with us. More than anything else though our teachers have instilled in us a desire to give back to the community what God has given us and a desire to be all that we can be. What we learn in life is not so important as how it changes us or what we do with it. And, we have been equipped with the skills, the knowledge, and the drive to change our communities and I am excited for the difference I know we will make in this world.

More and more I am discovering just how precious each person is and how blessed we are to have fellowship with one another. As I look at your faces and a thousand memories flood my mind of each of you, I stand in awe at the gifts, the talents, and the determination I see. I congratulate you for accomplishing your education here at Kennedy Murphy and moreover, for striving to reach this goal with all of your heart. You guys give 110% and I am honored that I am your classmate and friend. Whether it be in the classroom, on the sports field, on the stage, or in church, or just at home, you shine.
