The anticipation an eagerness for the crown that every little girl and boy have dreams of wearing finally concluded when seniors Frank “Trey” Pitre III and Dani Willis took the throne as Memorial High School’s Homecoming king and queen. Pitre tried to play it off cool, but deep down inside he was overwhelmed with joy. “I was surprised and shocked hearing my name called and people clapping and screaming for me”, Pitre said. However, Queen Dani Willis had the biggest smile across her face and was taken over by happiness suddenly. “It means a lot to be able to wear this crown, and I’m glad that I was able to step out of my shell and run for something so big”, Willis said. Reactions from the audience seemed very positive and supportive of the announcing of Pitre and Willis as king and queen. …show more content…

Yesterday marked the ending of 4 LONG years! Through all the mistakes and hardships I've faced, I can proudly say I finally made it! I am so excited to start college in the Fall to Bethune-Cookman University on a full tuition scholarship. I am extremely proud of all my classmates and so thankful for my family and friends. Thank you God for this opportunity many don't get to enjoy. I can't wait to see all God has in store for me!
I am an active member of my school and community. At school I feel that i've gained the respect of my peers being elected as Student Council representative for the past four years. I have also been elected the treasurer of the choir, and secretary of the band. I am part of the Ross Middle School bucket drumming group and have been casted as part of the school theatre’s annual play. After school on Wednesdays I assist Ms. Rullman in helping students with homework and enhancing study methods. I am currently participating in science olympiad and have in the past. I am also an anchor on the popular Good Morning Ross Middle School weekly news show. In addition, I have been a part of National Junior Honor Society which takes part in service projects
The crowd then roared with cheers and shouts, and as they did, Timkin, Bruno and Crystal began to clap; encouraging the crowd to do so as well.
Life isn’t fair, but we all know that. Instead of the athletes sharing in the revenue they create, it’s just the fat cats who benefit. The NCAA has multiple billions of dollars in revenue every year. but the athletes don't see a pretty penny of that. Lots of people believe that college athletes should not be compensated monetarily. by the means of money. They think that a scholarship is enough compensation for the athlete’s work. However, But what people do not know is that not all athletes get scholarships, and not all scholarships include things like food and clothes. So college athletes should be paid extra money for three reasons: the players put in lots of work, the NCAA makes billions of dollars every year, and the NCAA acts as an employer.
"I need to thank every one of the general population who ended the hush around Jacob's conduct. It is a result of you that this issue has now been tended to. I am thankful you talked up, and I recognize and welcome your boldness."
Closing the trunk, Chandler the Fair heard the Godmother tell him, “We’re impressed that you and Action Andy have been able to recover one of the more treasured and priceless of relics. Out of the kindness of our hearts, we will see to it that word comes that this relic has been returned to us. And of course, there shouldn’t be a problem with us not having to mention the identities of those who recovered it, right Harold?”
Propaganda: a tool used to shape citizen thinking for the use of governmental goals in occasions worldwide. Many countries use propaganda for the support of its citizens in certain purposes. During Word War II, the United States needed the support of the American citizens for the purchasing of war bonds, acquiring the volunteer work of women, and also the conservation of the country’s natural resources. Therefore, the main purpose of propaganda is to persuade citizens of that country to support the decisions of the government.
He went on and said, “I’m proud of the cast, they’re amazingly responsive. I am absolutely honored and blessed to be given this opportunity.”
Every morning one man speaks over the loudspeaker to the 1,700 students that attend North Atlanta High School. But do you know who it is? Many people can’t put a name to that voice, but you may know him. His name is Zachary Bracknell, a Cadet Major in the ROTC program at North Atlanta. He comes on the announcements every morning to say the pledge of allegiance, and it is tough for me personally to see so many disregard this pledge, however there is beauty in the ability for one to sit during it. This freedom is a right given by the same country they are choosing to contempt. A right many don't have around the world.
I waited weary in anticipation of what name would break out of the happy-go-lucky collegiate cheerleader’s boisterous mouth as he was announcing the two lucky 2017 National Cheerleading Association All Americans out of all 4 Belton cheer squads. I replay this moment in my most vivid dreams, feeling the excitement of the halcyon moment grow greater and greater as the nerves and emotions grew stronger and stronger. A moment as imperative as this showed me in the most transparent way that hard, continuous work and growth pays off in many more ways than one.
I was ecstatic, and I couldn’t wait to finally tell everyone! Everyone was glad to see that I made it that far, except the people I wanted to be there for me. My friends, who didn’t make it, gave me the cold shoulder. They started to tell people I didn’t deserve my spot, and I only got there out of pity. It hurt to hear that, but later I realized that a real friend wouldn’t say that. It fueled me to make it into the final five and show Rose Wagner what I had to offer. I did just that; I practiced every moment I had. I didn’t get a wink of sleep that week until I knew I would make it to the final five, which happily I did, but not just to the final five, but the last one
The feeling from all in attendance, was one of pride. Mothers wore pins with their pride and joy’s plastered on the face. Noisemakers clouded the voice of the announcer as he enthusiastically read off names of our starting
Communism and socialism plays an important role in Animal Farm by George Orwell. All of the events that occurred in the book represent actual events that happened to a communist country, now known as Russia. Both communism and socialism have similar beliefs but still have their differences. There has never been a communist society where people were happy and treated as equals to high ranking government officials. There has been a time in Animal Farm when all animals were treated equal, but that was only in the start of the post-revolution. In the end of the book however, there is a different story. The motif of the book is that any attempt to achieve the goals of a communist and socialist society
“I remember after the race, I wanted to cry and I needed to get out of the stadium. It should have been a joyous moment in front of my home crowd but I felt humiliated. I just wanted the ground to swallow me up. I felt I had to apologies for my performance to my family and friends. I felt I’d let people down.”
