Over the years there have been many changes in the education department. Such changes include lowering test requirements, some may include late work policies or other topics. Some may argue that there are other things that are more important, and some argue that certain things are not at our attention. Something that I have experienced myself, amongst many other students is the tardy policy that most if not all schools have. I believe there should be a change to this policy. Throughout my entire educational career, I have not had too many tardies compared to other students. Aside from other years, most of my tardiness would mostly consist of early-morning times to go to my first class of the day, which for everyone else would be considered as their second period. This mostly started towards the second quarter of the 2014-2015 school year. While having an open first hour, my personal schedule still affected school on several occasions.
With that in mind, I would get to school with five or ten minutes of tardiness sometimes, other times I nearly made it through the door as I attempted to run to class after hearing the warning bell ring. The instructors would tell me to get a tardy pass, and so I did. Our high school is significantly larger than many others and it takes a good amount of time to walk back to the attendance office, depending on where someone is on campus.
