Hello, Thank you so much for taking the time to consider me! I am more than willing to tell you about myself and hope you will let me know if you would like to know any additional information. I am a tenth-grader at Shaker High School in Latham, New York, and am part of a 3-year science research course under the supervision of Mr. Nathaniel Covert. The goal of this program is to gain research experience in a field of interest, with help from mentors and other teachers. In addition, I am a hard-working individual, challenging myself by taking all honors and advanced placement courses. At this moment, I am expanding my knowledge on retinal regeneration by reading various journal articles. Some of the topics that I read about are the retinal
High school is supposed to be the place where you have fun and a time in your life you’re supposed to enjoy. Movies often trick you into believing that high school is an amazing time in your life and there is nothing but parties and fun. In Bring it on, they portrayed the fun and exciting part of high school cheer-leading, however they intentionally leave out the tough times high school students’ face in school and in their practices. In other popular movies, such as High School Musical the students have no pressures other than the next basketball game. In reality, this doesn 't happen. The constant pressure is affected by the grade level you are in. In high school, students can be classified based on the pressures that are faced in each grade level into the categories of freshman, sophomores/juniors, and seniors. I am here to help you make your high school experience less stressful.

Education, teachers, family, friends, and honored guests. It is my pleasure and honor to be speaking on the behalf of the Carl Sandburg Middle School 2018 graduating class. To my fellow graduates, I cannot believe that middle school is already over. It seems just like a very short dream; it seems like yesterday we were stepping into the building for the very first time as 6th graders. I could not have asked for a better group of peers to leave middle school with. From being cooped up in a room all morning during NJSLA-S testing together and going a little crazy, to experiencing the beautiful, unlimited wilderness that we saw on the Fairview trip, I would not have any of the amazing memories I have without you guys. Eleanor Roosevelt said “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” If every student here believes in the beauty of their dreams, and does everything in their power to achieve them while seeing the beauty in them, what this class will do in the future will be absolutely breathtaking.
Mr. Riff, esteemed teachers and staffs, dearest parents and grandparents, guests, fellow graduates, relatives, friends, ladies, and gentlemen, good morning!
During the last three years of my attendance here at Mt. Edgecumbe High School, I could not think of a teacher who has influenced me more than yourself. You’ve taught me to not only appreciate music, but to appreciate life. I’ve spent a total of four semesters in your Choir class and one semester in your Accounting class. We’ve traveled to two music festivals through Choir class, which are two of my most memorable experiences here in MEHS. I’ve also been apart of the MEHS award-winning Radio Club under your supervision. You’ve certainly witnessed my development as a maturing adult. It would be an honor to have a letter of recommendation from a teacher like yourself. Thank you for making my high school years enjoyable. If you choose to write
Hello everyone! My name's Ally Ward and I'm a senior at South Stanly High School. Currently I'm taking CCP courses with SCC, so that I'll have two years under my belt when I start college. I plan to attend Gardner-Webb University this Fall and major in English with a teaching license. After I receive my major I plan to get my doctorate in English and then get a job as an English professor. I also love to read, shoot archery, ride horses, and spend time with my family.
I remember seventh grade like it was yesterday. Everything was falling into place. I was happy with my life, had a strong relationship with God, and was content with where I was headed. My elementary and middle school years were just like any other Catholic school student. My schedule consisted of going to school, attending church, a sports practice, and then completing homework like everyone else. It wasn’t until eighth grade, where I was uprooted from that cookie cutter lifestyle, that I was actually challenged and pushed harder to be the best person possible, and to overcome the diversity and influences that I faced in the public school setting.
On behalf of our sixth grade team members at Oak Grove Middle School, I would sincerely like to thank you for the six beautiful book bags filled with school supplies you so generously donated to our students at Oak Grove Middle.
Welcome to Northwood Middle School- a place to successfully prepare all students for their futures! Here, you can be educated in a good working environment, but also partake in exciting activities such as clubs of all types, and exciting pep assemblies. However, this might seem strange but Northwood is also quite similar to a cell!
Welcome to Chelan High school! The higher grades won't bite, so feel free to be friends with some of us. There's a spot for everyone here. On behalf of my group, we would love to have more members of our friend circle. Some of us are a little weird, though, so be prepared. Band in high school is like a big family. If you think you could get along with sixty band members, and if you're not already in it, I suggest you join. We go to Disneyland every four years. I won't get to go with you, but it'll be fun anyway.
Welcome to Columbia Heights High School! We look forward to meeting all of you as you begin your high school career. We are excited to have you become part of the Hylander family and grow academically, emotionally and socially over the next four years. Our core values at CHHS means we Keep it REAL: which stands for Respect, Education, Attitude, and Loyalty. We hope you can attend one of our Open Houses to prepare you to begin the school year well. We are encouraging all incoming Freshmen to attend the open house on August 31st from 4pm-7pm but they may also come to the open house on Tuesday August 29th from 2pm-5pm to receive the same information. Both of the open house will take place in
It is extremely hard to choose what you want to do for the rest of your life at only age 17, but Keystone High School tries to make it easier for their students. Keystone High School requires you to have this career research done for you to be able to graduate. There are a lot of steps involved in getting your final essay done. Like gathering information throughout different websites, interviewing a person in that field, and writing a huge essay about what we have decided on our lives. During our phase one of the career research project, we had to look for what we do in our jobs. Phase two we had to go out into the real world and interview or job shadow someone already in that field, so that makes us be able to make a better decision. But
Welcome all to the graduation of the Hadley 8th grade class this year. I want to begin by saying a big congrats to the graduating students of 2017 for making it through all the bumps and swerves in this winding road we have had in these past three years. As I begin, the thoughts run through my head of how our time here had one terrifying beginning, memorable end, and a middle consisting of lots of late nights, rushed mornings, different kinds of distractions, and tests many forgot to study for. Every year I spent here I gained a little more independence, and became all that much closer to who I am today. So today we are celebrating us, and all the milestones we have achieved in our adventure here at Hadley Jr. High.
I volunteered at W.B Sweeney Elementary School in Willimantic, Connecticut. I was with children in grades kindergarten through fifth for two hours after school every Monday this past semester. I thoroughly enjoyed helping them with homework, doing activities, and just getting to know them individually. I grew as a person from this opportunity, learned more about the field I am planning on entering, and broadened my experience with children overall.
It all started when I was a senior in high school and I was taking my final English class required to graduate. At first I had the attitude of a typical senior student with a bad case of “senioritis”, but that all changed once my teacher Ms. Wade began her lesson plan. I immediately fell in love with her teaching style and her enthusiasm for English, which seemed rare to come by with teachers who taught a senior level class. It was then that I knew I wanted to become a teacher and possibly major in English. Fast forward a few years, I started dating my fiancé and was introduced to his niece (age 6) and nephew (age 2). At that point I had a flood of memories of when I was student in elementary school and remembered how much I enjoyed going to school, learning basic knowledge like my ABC’s, and more importantly how my teacher brought me happiness and the desire to learn new things in a fun, exciting and safe environment. When I came back this semester to Daytona State College I was informed of a new program they offered, a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BSED) and knew it was meant to be. After speaking with an advisor and some of my peers it was clear this is the career path I wanted to take and with hard work and determination I would eventually become an elementary school teacher.
