Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Saydel High School. Today is a big day, as we, the class of 2018 gather one last time before taking our next steps into our adult lives. We made it. We graduated high school. Soon, we will all be walking across the stage to receive our diploma, which is an event that has been 13 plus years in the making.
It’s hard to believe that our time together is beginning to draw to a close. It seems like just yesterday we were walking into Saydel High School for the first time, as incoming freshman, nervous about meeting new students and teachers, and especially nervous about meeting new seniors. Now, we are the seniors at Saydel High School, and at the end of our short-lived journey together.
Our journey has brought us many friendships, which will hopefully carry over into our adult lives. As we begin to transition from our high school life to our postsecondary life, I ask you all to remember these friendships, and don’t take them for granted. Because one day, these friendships might not be the same. Your friends will move away, find new jobs, and start families. So, let’s enjoy what we have left together.
As I stand before you all at the end of our senior year, giving this speech, let’s reminisce in some of our memorable pasts. Looking back, we’ve made many great memories in the midst of earning an

Although it was almost 6:00 in the morning, Saydel community, staff, and students filled the stadium with excitement. The turnout for this event was the best Channel 5 has ever had, which definitely says a lot about the support from our community, staff, and students. These awards and recognitions weren’t just given to our students. Our students earned these distinguished awards and recognitions by spending countless hours practicing and learning, ultimately showing their
Families and friends welcome to Montgomery Village Middle School 8th grade promotional ceremony. Today we embark on a new chapter of our lives as we end our middle school careers. We’ve spent the past three years of our lives in this wonderful place. We were given the opportunity to grow and learn. Our teachers, one of our biggest supporters, the ones we have built relationships with. Our teachers have seen us grow. They have been our guiding hands throughout our middle school career. The teachers in this school deserve the world. They motivate us each and every one of us each day. Most of us were able to mature throughout middle careers. We’ve grown aware of our surroundings. We’re all well aware of what’s to come as we open the next chapter
It was May 25, 2018 at 7:47 in a steaming hot gymnasium when the name Anthony Joseph Sansalone was getting called from the loud speaker, the sixth to last person to receive their diploma I begun shaking the hands of all the board members and everything that I had known from the last 13 years at the same school was over and a new chapter of my life was stating to begin. A few seconds after receiving my diploma the Class President guided us to changing of our tassels from right to left then commencement was over and I was walking out with my future roommate at BGSU, Vincent Zhang, we looked at each other knowing that our high school career was descending and our college careers were lifting off together. High school was tuff for me due to the fact that I have know what I wanted to do since I was a freshman, I want to become an animator and work for an Academy Award winning company such as
Throughout the years of our middle school experience, we've been in and out doors. The doors of our classroom or office, even through the opening doors to the school into the gym. However, tonight, we will be walking out of the doors of St. Rose of Lima school and walking into a new chapter of our lives, high school. One after one, people come into our lives and people go out. When we
We are all leaving the nest and flying in different directions. Some of us will move on to a school just across campus, while others will leave to a school thirty minutes away from here. I know we are all anxious and excited to be leaving the building that some of us have been practically living in since kindergarten. I have created so many memorable moments here that I will never forget. Today, I ask you to look around you. Who do see before you? I see parents that have worked hard to give us the opportunity to learn and are now so proud of our growth. I see teachers who have taught us so much more that just Algebra or English. Then, I see us, the formal leaders of the school. We are known as the eight graders, but I see us as a giant 40 person family. We are united by the common factor of our graduation. So today as we receive our much-coveted diplomas in our navy cap and gowns, I ask you to indulge in these last following days with your fellow
First, I like to mention that we come a long way from our four years together. We started here (from the bottom) and now we're here. We are the first class to graduate from this school with no ties to the old high school. We built unforgettable memories together here in this school. Especially from our pep rallies, although we didn't win all of them, we developed a deep bond with each other. That is something we must reminisce about in the future.
Tonight is a special night as twelve years of schooling comes to an end, and with that, we will face the real word and realise our destiny. We cannot predict what is around the corner but as turn the page on the next chapter of our lives into adulthood we will take with us what we have learned from our past. Most importantly the senior years as these times have shaped us into the young adults we have become. I’m going to explain the last two years
As my final year of high school ends, I can’t help but to feel a flurry of emotions: I’m thrilled for the future and its opportunities, I’m overjoyed to be experiencing the long awaited senior year, but more importantly, I’m a bit sad. I’m sad because I’m about to say goodbye to Virginia Beach City Public Schools, an institution I can proudly call my family. I’m so proud to be a part of VBCPS and I can only hope that the school system is as equally proud of me.
Wow. We finally made it. For some, it has been a year, three years, six years, or maybe even ten years in McGivney. Throughout these years, we have created many special moments together as a family. Good morning/afternoon/evening to all parents, teachers, priests and of course, the graduating class of 2017. Today, we celebrate our successes and lessons learned which have brought us to this very moment. I would like to take the time to appreciate the people who have helped to get us into places where we all are today as individuals, filled with wisdom, strength, and pride.
On this most auspicious of occasions, it is with a sincere sense of gratitude that I embark on sharing some thoughts regarding graduation and the Yucaipa High School Class of 2017. Seated amongst us here tonight are members of the Yucaipa-Calimesa Joint Unified School District Board of Education, the administrative staff of YHS, the teachers, friends, family, and most importantly, the graduates of the class of 2017. Fellow graduates, we did it! "Prestige, world wide!" (Step Brothers). While ruminating on my subject matter for this address, I decided to regale you with tales from my life, anecdotes that will hopefully entertain, enlighten, and inspire. So without further ado, my commencement address begins.
Good morning fellow parents, faculty, staff, and classmates. It is an honor to see many parents and family members arrange their busy, tight schedules to come and commemorate a loved one’s graduation, promoting from the 8th grade to high school. Many people in the audience can agree that the 8th grade class of 2016-2017 passed by extremely fast. It seems like it was only a few months back when parents and students were shopping for school uniform and supplies. However, time has passed in the blink of the eye. We had our eyes wide open when we first walked into our new middle school building. But now, we have blinked and we are finally here, about to promote here at Barnes Park. Of course, our journey throughout the
Good evening. I would first like to welcome the class of 2016, as well as all faculty, family, and friends. Thank you for this great honor of speaking on such an exceptional evening. Truly, today is no ordinary day. Today is a day of graduation, of success, of pride, of change, of great importance. The people we are sitting next to, whom we have sat next to in classrooms forever, may never sit next to us again. For the past few years, all we have had are each other. All we have had is this. We have managed to encompass our whole world within this one community. As we leave this ceremony tonight, I want each of us to leave this stage in celebration.
Coming back to the present tonight we all all here because we went down a twisty path and went over a mountain. Metaphorically speaking. We have successfully completed our high school experience with the help of teachers , fellow students , families and parents. Tonight we accomplished part of our path and after today is next part of a road which will eventually lead to new experiences, new choices and impacts , overcoming challenges but overall will lead to victory. Don't worry about what the future holds in store but embrace all life that it has to offer. Congratulations to the class of 2017, but just remember to work it, love it and continue on your path because great things are on there
I took a deep breath before saying, “After four long years, here we are, saying our final goodbyes. It seems like it was just yesterday when we walked into this school as freshmen. We had that hopeful look in our eyes, wondering what adventure high school would bring us. Now, high school will become a distant memory as we take our next step in life.” The more I spoke, the more confident I felt.
Our graduation is our coming of age, our right of passage. As we walk across this stage we are writing the closing pages to our Chapter I and heading into the great unknown. It's kinda scary -- but hey, don't you cry, even though high school is over, the times we've shared and the friends we've made will never be lost. The clock is ticking, time is fleeting and nobody lives forever. But true friendship is something we can count on never dying. I hope wherever we go in life it will be happy and even if we all move to remote island countries we can all count on the memories and laugh at all the stupid things we did.
Hello, we would like to welcome and thank all of you for being here with us tonight to celebrate our high school graduation . It truly is an honor to be surrounded by so many significant people who have impacted our lives immensely throughout our highschool years. We would like to thank the wonderful people here tonight that we have the privilege to call our parents. Whether you are a mother a father, grandma or grandpa, or an aunt or an uncle; we are here, graduating today because of all of you.
