One’s view on something often changes when you look at it from more than one point of view. Morality plays a significant role in any decision making process. It is hard to justify any decision that is not moral. Sarah Orne Jewett’s “A White Heron” has many elements of nature, and of the preservation of what Sylvia holds dearly. The thought provoking short story evokes emotions of caring, loving, and fear. All of these emotions are shown by different settings and characters in the story.

In Cold Mountain and "A Poem for the Blue Heron", tone is established in a multitude of ways. These two pieces of literature describe the characteristics and actions of a blue heron, both aiming for the same goal. However, Charles Frazier and Mary Oliver approach their slightly differing tones employing organization, metaphoric language, and diction.

Their coloration helps them camouflage in their own environments, and to hide from predators. Recent studies have found that there are in fact two separate species of the Warbler Finch, the Green Warbler Finch and the Grey Warbler Finch, but are considered as a single species (Wildscreen Arkive, N.D.). I have shown a variety of both livestock and general projects in my ten years as a 4-H member. My first livestock project was Mallard ducks and since then my waterfowl project has expanded. I showed my Mallard ducks for five years. Unfortunately a mink killed my entire flock. After I lost my flock, I was given a set of Giant African Dewlaps from a family friend which I named Linus and Lola. There's a little bird endemic to the United States that's in big trouble, particularly in the East Coast. Scientists fear that the saltmarsh sparrow could go extinct in as little as five decades.

It has a dark green color, which allows it to blend in with the bushes and other vegetation around it. This helps it because it can also sneak up on its prey and hide from predators. Since it is able to fly very high, they build their nests high up in the trees by the river. This provides its chicks with plenty of protection from predators on the ground. This can also pose a threat for the hawk’s chicks since there is a possibility that a chick can fall out of the nest. This is very unlikely to happen, since the mother hawk is always reinforcing the nest with various twigs found along the riverbank once the chicks have hatched, while the male hawk watches over the baby birds or catches food for them.
