Acccording to Krauker, greed arose when Everest was considered the tallest mountain in the world. People were fascinated and treated it as if it was the ultimate trophy. Everest represents the ultimate, the pinnacle for many people. However, even though greed can have a pessimistic tone, greed can be a source of motivation and drive that propells people to do better.
