Have you ever thought, “Wow my family is really dysfunctional?” Well they probably aren’t as bad as Persephone’s because at least your husband isn’t also your uncle. This was the life of Greek gods and goddesses. Speaking of goddesses, one of the well known goddesses is Demeter, the mother of Persephone, which is where it all began. Demeter slept with her brother Zeus. Weird right? That’s besides the point, anyway they ended up having a daughter, who they named her Persephone. That’s where our story begins. Persephone is the most persistent and caring goddess because of her background, her kidnapping and relationships with her family.
The relationship she has with her mother and the way she was brought up made her so persistent and loyal. Persephone’s mother, Demeter (The one that slept with her brother, yeah that one) loved her daughter, Persephone. They both were giving the gift of maintaining to the crops and flowers. They would play together in the fields almost all day, every day of the year. Whenever Persephone would smile at Demeter, her heart always swelled with happiness, making the crops grow even higher and healthier. There were meadows of flowers as far as the eye could see(“Goddess Symbols: Persephone”).
Persephone is the most persistent goddess because of her kidnapping by her uncle Hades, the god of the Underworld. This caused trauma in the fact that she would be forced to marry her uncle and live with him 6 months out out of every year. To say Hades was
