At a mere age of ten, seeing trees and mountains pass by through the window of a speeding car. Sitting in the back of the van with the radio blaring and yelling of four other kids. A mix of emotions, happy, sad, excited. We were moving to North Carolina. That was six short years ago. It wasn’t until I turned 15 that I realized, my life is flying by. I had just been in the fifth grade in a very small school. I was excited to explore what else this big world had to offer. I had known I loved the mountains. I was very excited to meet new people and live in a different climate. Over all I loved the idea.

Where is the Raritan Bay in New Jersey? Well, the Raritan Bay is located between the border of New Jersey and New York. What help does the Raritan Bay do for the human population? The Raritan Bay is where most shipments on water can be delivered through. Why is it important to clean the Raritan Bay? Well, over the years when New Jersey was where all the factories at and the shipment docks, because of that, after the factories that have been shut down, all the pollution and waste has gone into the Raritan Bay. The Raritan Bay used to be a place where everyone came to and fished, relaxed, and enjoy the bay… Now, it’s closed off, because of all the chemicals in the water from the factories. Many citizens of New Jersey fish there still, but don’t know how dangerous the water is. Pollution can harm humans and the animals, it’s time to take a stand and clean the Raritan Bay, before it’s too late.

The people of Squawk Valley was discouraged and depressed because there were no turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. They came up with a plan to lure a plump and perky turkey. Pete a cocky and clever turkey hired and modeled for art and crafts fair.Before the show ended he camouflaged and fled the scene. He took the oatmeal turkey as a fee. The people of squawk valley learned a lesson that a plump and perky turkey can be pretty clever.

Pelican Bay State Prison in Northern California, is a supermax state prison and is known as the most notorious state prison. Segregated Housing Unit or the SHU came from Pelican Bay due to prisoners being isolated in solitary confinement. Supermax prison is where prisoners are held in extreme isolation, sometimes for years or decades. According to California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, “Pelican Bay houses approximately 1,170 inmates in the SHU.”

I just started working at Oyster Harbors Club a few weeks ago, but my experience there has been wonderful. It has been an honor life guarding on the beach, and getting to know all the families and the children attending camp. I enjoy working in such a friendly family environment, and I am excited to work next summer as well. The state of Maryland is located in the Eastern part of the United States. Maryland shares borders with Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia. Maryland became a state in 1788 and currently has 5.583 million people, with the capital being Annapolis. Fishing Industry, Life Sciences, and Manufacturing are major parts of Maryland’s economy. It is famous for great seafood. Maryland is a place for people to enjoy the outdoors with its beautiful landscapes, mountains, beaches, and countryside.

Growing up in the city of Detroit then moving out to the Suburbs of West Bloomfield is a huge change. In Detroit I became accustomed to my environment. For the most part we were black. Racial issues didn't come up much because of this. While I understood racism and knew that Blacks were a minority throughout the country. I had never felt what it really felt like to be a minority.

On March 16th, an alleged rape occurs at Rockville High School, in Rockville Maryland. A freshman at the age of 14 was allegedly raped by Jose Montano, age 17 and Sanchez-Milan, age 18. The 2 students who are illegal undocumented immigrants from Central America were enrolled at Rockville High school as freshman. The 2 men lacked English skills for reasoning of their enrollment at a lower grade at their age. The 2 grown men raped the underage girl in the boys bathroom during school hours and were both charged with 1st degree rape. This crime is being seen by many reporters, parents, and legislators across the state. By this incident many schools have started to take extreme precautions to keep students school life safe. By taking these minor steps many students' safety will increase and this incident will also bring justice to the state of Maryland education and immigrant laws.

Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York: a small community located on the north shore of the famous long island has been the set for many films and television shows, home to many historical people, a vacation spot with a rich and sophisticated night life, as well as much more, but more importantly it is my hometown. Being situated on a map at 40.7594° N, 73.5028° W, it can be found between Oyster Bay Cove and Mill Neck on the “Gold Coast”, miles off of Oyster Bay Sound. The town of Oyster Bay is roughly 170 square miles and the highest elevation of the town is around 180 feet.

When my mom would send me off to school, nobody ever liked the new guy. I felt so scared, and awkward.I was bullied because of the color of my skin. I tended to be a little darker not only because of my roots but because long hard hours working with my dad after school. Resulted of me having sun burns. I was called every name in the book,and it was tough for me. Having to go to school and get treated like an old rag was already enough to what I would come home everyday with. I’d just get home and right away start working with my dad just to start giving us some income. I had to get used to this type of work everyday for the rest of my life. I wasn't so sure even if I even wanted to keep going to school. I mean I was already not caring for school and working with my dad after school. I wanted to drop out. To leave everything behind. The state that has been chosen was Wisconsin. The state was chosen because it seemed very interesting. The state was never visited by my family. What makes Wisconsin special is their famous team the Green Bay Packers. This report will be talking about how special and interesting Wisconsin is and will give you the urge of wanting to go there.
