These vehicles add on environmental and human health issues due to the emitted toxic gases. Apace usage of fossil fuels results in rapid depletion of these resources and price inflammation; it stimulates to find alternatives in transportation technology. This…show more content…
The paper provides some of the advantages and disadvantages of the electric vehicle. Keywords: Battery, Crude Oil, Energy Environmental Pollution, Green Transportation, Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Internal Combustion Engine. I. INTRODUCTION Automobiles have made great contribution to the growth of modern society and have satisfied many needs for mobility in everyday life. The automobile and other related industries play an important role in governing world’s economy and affect every level of population. IC engine is the backbone of automobile sector and uses fossil fuels as source of energy. Modern transportation system heavily relies on fossil-fuel based IC engines but due to toxic emissions in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and unburned hydrocarbons (HCs) etc. in a large amount has caused environmental pollution, global warming and badly affected the ozone layer. Usage of large number of automobiles around the world has caused and continues to cause serious problems for environment and human life. Various components like pollution, decreasing level of natural resources and dependency of society on oil energy are discussed in this paper. The purpose of this paper is to describe the technology used to produce an electric vehicle and explain why the electric engine is better than
