Greetings Friend,
I want to thank you for the work that you do in our community. People that work with students hold a special place in my heart. I devoted 10 years of my life to serving in youth ministry and know firsthand the challenge and reward that it can bring. During those years I had the privilege of working alongside numerous parents and school personnel. We worked together to help kids reach their full potential and become productive adults. It is because of this time in my life that I understand just how difficult but important your calling is. Those that work with children and teenagers are changing tomorrow today. As you work, you are literally shaping the future every day. You need supernatural wisdom discernment care and
A new high school called Apex Friendship was just built in Apex, North Carolina. The new high school is only open to freshman and sophomores of the 2015-16 school year. In the booming town of Apex people come from all over to take advantage of its growing economy and its welcoming community and also the great reputation of the schools. Apex Friendship had many critiques and people with many expectations of what this school was to become. I was thinking this could either be very, very, bad or one of the best experiences of my life. Many people thought it would be a great school, and the students that would graduate from the school would be a great representation of the community from where they went to school at. Others, mainly the students
Each of us will show we are leaders by being positive role models for these young people by showing them we genuinely care about them and their futures. We represent the service component by taking time to work in an organization that is in need of volunteers. We recognize that this is not a faith-based organization, but we chose to act on our individual faiths by doing God’s work and serving others. We will demonstrate the pillar of learning by working with children from different backgrounds than we grew up in. Also, we will encourage the children to learn through mentally stimulating activities in a fun
I wanted to first express my gratitude for your dedication to the students of Miami-Dade county. I believe we will change how South Florida views early childhood education.
This was a great experience I had and would love to do again in the community. I love working with kids and making their day. It’s always a great feeling knowing you helped a kid become better as a student or even as a person. I wished I had done this earlier because I had such a great time with my
Sampson, George, and Rameck could have easily followed their childhood friends into drug dealing, gangs, and prison. Like their peers, they came from poor, single parent homes in urban neighborhoods where survival, not scholastic success, has the priority. When the three boys met in a magnet high school in Newark they recognized each other as kindred spirits that wanted to overcome the incredible odds against them and reach for opportunity. They made a friendship pact, deciding together to take on the biggest challenge of their lives: attending college and then medical and dental schools. Along the way they made mistakes and faced disappointments.
Some of my favorite memories made in high school thus far are due to my involvement in the Best Buddies program. Best Buddies is offered across the United States and is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending the exclusion of people with special needs. I joined the program my freshman year and was selected my junior year of high school to be in the Best Buddies class where I get to develop a closer relationship with all of the buddies. In total there are about twenty-five special needs kids that attend my school. I am proud to attend a school that welcomes these kids and always makes sure to include them in major school events and extracurricular activities. Recently, Tyler, one of the buddies, scored a touchdown while playing with our varsity football team. This was a proud moment for the Best Buddies class because we wanted him to have this amazing experience.
Thank you for allowing me to work with you and always being open to questions. You really contributed to my knowledge and my interest in working with children. It was always fun to work with you and learn from you. I think you do an amazing job with the kids! Wish you the best with your master. Have a great holidays
I would like to start by thanking you for the phenomenal work you and your team have done not only for young adults in my home town, but the young adults you have impacted around the world. I have followed your work from your first video on YouTube. You have set examples in your work ethic and accomplishments. These are great qualities of your character and you are the exact person I am looking for to help with and speak at my event “Out of the Gutter Jamz”. we all know you as E.T. the hip-hop preacher. Who better to speak to the youth and disadvantaged teens then someone who connects with them on a different level.
Interacting with younger students within the community and dedicating my time is an experience I will hold with me through my life and has left me with valuable leadership experience that will allow me to help others in the
Children are the future of the world. I feel as though it is important to invest in their academic, psychological, and physical development. School counseling is a potential career option that would allow me to achieve that goal. For this reason, I chose to interview my cousin, Ms. Sonya Wright, a professional school counselor at the Barack and Michelle Obama Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. In her position, she is expected to guide, support, and advise students and their families in hopes to alleviate any problems or issues that may cause the student stress. Her main goal is to be a resource for students so that they are able to successfully perform academically and mentally function inside and outside of the classroom. She is able to reach students in a way that allows them the opportunity for stability and support to succeed and thrive. Having the ability to inspire and influence a child in such a powerful way is something that strive for in my future aspirations.
First off, I want to say thank you to my parents for supporting me. Mom, Dad, thank you for being there with me during difficult times. You support and understand me, this gives me the strength to continue fight through the challenges in life. Without you being here today and by my side, I would have given up. Next, I want to thank the administration. You have all contributed to making this school run smoothly but also have allowed us to have a good time. I, as many others, have enjoyed the monthly walks and fundraising activities, the cultural fashion show and the fun and exciting cultural festival with the live steel bad and African drummers. These are some experiences that some students have never been exposed to. Therefore, thank you for bringing new and exciting initiatives to PS/MS124. Mrs. Babb, you are a very loving and an easy person to talk to. You have made so many positive changes to PS124, one of which is allowing us middle schoolers to have student council. I would also like to thank my teachers, for sharing their knowledge. You have taken the time to explain assignments, make class interesting, challenge us beyond our knowledge, and inspire not just me, but all of us. I want to Mr. Heaton for granting me the position of secretary for National Junior Honor Society last year. This was a great opportunity and that allowed me to play a key role in the National Junior Honor
Sometime they look at me as a volunteer. This was easily solved when I remind them that I’m here to help. With that reminder they always remember that I have a shoulder that they can cry on. The impact that my project have in the community is that parents who work pass the school ending time could have a places where they can feel safe that their children are being care for and supervised by people who truly enjoyed doing so. Working with YMCA student I learned that as happy a child could look doesn’t mean they’re really that happy. Many of those YMCA children face to getting bullied every day. Sometimes they isolate themselves from the crowd because they’re told that they are not worthy to join them. I learned that I have no tolerance for bullying considering the fact that I was also bullied during my elementary year help me to understand where many of those YMCA student coming from. I learn that it important that we help our community because it give you the insight of what is occurring around your surrounding. I’m so glad that I volunteer at the YMCA not only did I help many of those student they have also help me. They help me become a better person with better
To celebrate 1000 page views, I already prepare something interesting for you guys to read. It is a friends evaluation done by my close friends. For them to join this evaluation, they need to meet certain criteria such as have a good term with me more than 2 years and my parents are familiar with them or we already hang out more than 10 times. For your information, they are the one who stay with me during my high and low. For me, my close friend is worth more than anything and their loyalty is something can't be bought by money. Therefore, I really appreciate them for keep staying by my side. Thank you so much
When I first met my client, Jackie Hart, she was in the hospital with a broken hip. She lives alone in a senior apartment complex and she has no family. She was transferred to a nursing home for six weeks of rehab after her hip surgery. Jackie was adamant that she was going to return home after her stay in the nursing home. I got Jackie set up with Comfort Keepers so that once she returned home they would provide a bath aide 3x a week, light housekeeping aide 2x a week, and an aide to transport Jackie to the grocery store 1x a week. Comfort Keepers also set Jackie up with a toilet extender, shower seat, and walker. Jackie is to meet with registered dietician Kim Letts to go over proper nutritional needs to help her gain her strength
Imagine your sole confidante, childhood playmate, personal comedian and physiologist disclosing your secrets to a stranger. Unfortunately, this stranger happens to be the person who enforce a form of punishment for the actions that were once a secret. Furthermore, this confidante is considered your friend. Does an instance of this friend disclosing your secret of immoral activities to a person of authority violate the success of the friendship? In fact, this act is not a violation of the laws of friendship. The ideas of friendship are subjective, and thus where you might think your friend’s actions are unjust, your friend is actually looking out for your best interest and security. Also, a good friend would not desire
