More than a third of Americans say they or someone in their household owns a gun. Guns are used for a variety of purposes, such as hunting, self defense, target shooting, for historical purposes, and so on. Most of the time the owners of these guns are responsible law abiding citizens and only in a small minority has a gun been used as a weapon intended to invoke harm upon someone. Some law makers and citizens have suggested creating and enforcing more gun control policies. These policies would more than likely make little or no difference in the number of yearly casualties because criminals don't care about the laws and will obtain a gun illegally and these restrictions go against the 2nd amendment.
Federal law requires that all licensed
Gun control is a controversial issue for a long time around the world, particularly in U.S. because of a lots of mass shooting in school and public places. The second Amendment of the U.S. constitution is one of the shortest in all of the bill of right, it was written by the time period of American’s birth and it is the spirit of self-defense that help the new citizens of U.S. win their own freedom from the British. But now as the gun shooting problem happening every day in America, this gun control problem has gradually become to a hot issue. Compare to other countries like Britain, Canada, Japan, China, the difference between U.S. and those countries is in these countries to get a firearm is a very difficult thing
The Port 1 output buffers can sink/source four TTL inputs. When 1s are written to Port 1 pins, they are pulled high by the internal pull-ups and can be used as inputs. As inputs, Port 1 pins that are externally being pulled low will source current (IIL) because of the internal pull-ups. Port 1 also receives the low-order address bytes during Flash programming and verification.
The United States of America is the leading country in gun manufacturing. In 2013 alone 11 million guns were produced and placed in markets for sell. Dylan roof a man with multiple arrests for trespassing and drug possession was able to pass a background check and was able to purchase a firearm from a gun shop. The 21 year old, later committed a hate crime murdering nine African Americans at a Charleston church in June 2015 (USA Today, 2015). This wasn’t the first nor the last time a shooting of such caliber has happened in the United States. The fact that purchasing a firearm is easier than ordering an item from another country is horrid. Something needs to be done to decrease such violence and keep the population safe from a madman with a gun. Having stricter gun laws
Gun control is a law that controls how guns are sold and used, and who can own them. Allowing people to possess and use a gun with legal documents in the United States is legal. There have been arguments on whether or not is should be legal to own a gun as some people see it as beneficial and others do not. It is believed that guns are beneficial to have, and they are there because we need to be able to protect ourselves. We should not allow the government to have power over gun control for many reasons including the loss of tradition of hunting, not being able to protect ourselves, and simply because of the second amendment.
Some States in the United States are debating whether or not to set the Gun Control Law. Some people oppose this law while others support this it. I support the Gun Control Law. I support the law because their will be fewer suicides, less gun related deaths and people will less likely make attempts on shootings
Imagine a small, happy family with a mom, a dad, and a little baby girl. Now imagine them hiding together in fear in the corner of their house as a man holds them at gunpoint, robbing them of everything they have. They can’t defend themselves because there has been a recent ban on all handguns in the United States. Scenarios like this will happen every day if we allow more gun control laws to be put into effect. Guns are used in defensive ways 250,000 to 350,000 times a year (Barrett). Can you imagine America losing that many more people every year, all because they enforced laws that wouldn’t allow everyone to have a gun? Gun laws in the United States are effective as they are and do not need to be added to or changed. In order to truly understand why, it is important to examine the causes of the problem, the effects of the problem, and what is being done or what can be done to help solve the problem.
In the news today, there have been many shootings around the United States, putting the public in an uproar. Stricter gun laws will not solve the problem because criminals will still have guns. People should be able to protect their home.
A shooting here; a shooting there; a consistent day to day event heard in the daily papers and on the news stations on TV. New media are announcing a shooting someplace. Regardless of whether the shootings are intentional or unintentional; they are occurring all over the United States. In today’s society, gun control is essential; stricter federal laws must be enacted to save lives. Individual states’ laws are not sufficient to reduce deaths caused by guns
These days it seems that every day there is a mass shooting. Gun laws allow people who should not have access to any type of weapon at all, to legally purchase guns. Gun restrictions need to be stricter and there need to be fewer weapon products available to civilians.
The Second Amendment states, “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” In other words, people should freely be able to access guns, in order to keep our country safe. “464,033 total gun deaths occurred from 1999-2013. There were 270,237 suicides, 174,773 homicides, and 9,983 unintentional deaths. Firearms were said to be the 12th leading cause of all deaths. Guns were the leading cause of death by homicide (66.6% of all homicides) and suicide (52.2% off all suicides)” (Should More Gun Control Laws Be Enacted in
Firearm related injury and deaths for children are on the rise. There are more accidental death and injury as well as some fatalities due to firearms, and it occurs more than you think. In the United states there is one gun for every home.
Dallas, Texas. Santa Monica, California. Newtown, Connecticut. We turn on the T.V. and instantly see grieving. Families are torn apart because of a bullet. This doesn’t happen once in a while, it’s almost every other week. Yet the gun laws in America seem to get looser. The influence of the gun lobbies is so strong that people tend to overlook everything all of the violence right in front of their eyes. The republicans and those in favor of the gun lobbies blame it on mental illnesses, extremists and terrorists. And those who do want to see a change struggle to make their voices heard. The cry of, “Black Lives Matter,” rings around the community, but few seem to notice. It soon changes to, “Blue
First of all, imagine this, if a guy without brains saw a HVK-30 rifle lying on a table, the temptation to steal it would be really big. We’re talking about a full-automatic rifle cable of supreme firepower. If these kinds of weapons were banned, these motivations will diminish, as the people who want guns would need to go and get guns from illegal place like black markets. Some are maybe unobtainable due to the buyer's lack of knowledge. Most criminals have guns in the first place because guns are legal.
Guns are a very effective way of protection in our society today. If a foreign invader was coming into your house on your family how would you protect yourself? Most americans answer would be a firearm, because that is a number one option of self defense in the United States. Firearms play a major role in protection whether it is a woman out by herself and a man tries raping or abducting her, or if it is someone trying to rob you while out at dinner or the mall. Many want to restrict carry of handheld guns, when they do not realize that one person could save your life if something was to outbreak. A great example would be a mother was putting her baby in the car in a Walmart parking lot when two suspects hit the woman in the head trying to
Should gun ownership be tightly controlled, why or why not? In my opinion gun ownership should be tightly controlled. Guns can be very violent and can cause major problems, so there should be restrictions on who can and cannot buy guns. There are already restrictions on who can and cannot buy a gun, but I think there needs to be a few more, because in the society we live in today there are many shootings going on causing a lot of people to loose their life.
