I was a competitive athlete in all around gymnastics, until I had a traumatic brain injury, which resulted in an end to my career. My plan was to compete at the collegiate level as I study at a college of my choice, but due to an injury my plans quickly changed. As being a gymnast in my past, it has created me to be who I am by the way I act and the qualities I have as a person. I have great communication skills by being able to talk with anyone about anything that they need too. I am always willing to learn new things by others and I am not afraid to have them teach me something that I don’t already know. I have great leadership skills with having a lot of experience with a group of people. I will never give up on anyone no matter the circumstances, I will go through whatever it is to make sure all of the people that I know are happy. I have and almost always keep a positive attitude towards things and other people, and will push them to their limits to make sure they are the best that they can be. I am very enthusiastic and hope to …show more content…
When coaching I have to not only make sure they are having fun and working skills needed, but having fun and making sure I address an injury properly if necessary. The size of the school is increasing, so I have to make sure that I include all of the students and faculty, and have an open mind for possibilities. Being an officer in many things and participating in extracurricular activities, I have to make sure my grades stay up and I do not forget to do anything. I now know the things that are allowed and not allowed to wear during an interview or presentation for future knowledge. I have the experience and skills of how to take care of little kids and an idea of what to do when things go wrong and how to avoid them from
The 2015-2016 cheerleading season was one to remember for the STM Varsity Cheerleaders. We set a PRAGMATIC goal of doing a better job at promoting school spirit whenever it was requested (treats for senior football players, posters, slogans, themes, etc..) and any function in which our presence was requested, show more difficult routines for pep rallies and competitions, winning the Louisiana Regional Competition, and making it to finals for the National High School Cheerleading Championship. We worked very hard to accomplish all of these goals. There had to be some rules set in order to accomplish our goals we set. We must VENERATE Mrs. Rachel, Maria, and David requests at any cheerleading related function and practice.
The synchronized swimmer expressed the fear of not being able to achiever her life goal: making it onto the National Olympic team. An additional challenge that she had was proving that she was better than all the other girls trying out and achieving the top ten title. Although competition motivated her, the excessive pressure brought her down and she admitted hating her self and causing self-harm in order to feel better.

For as long as I can remember gymnastics has been one of the biggest parts of my life. It has taught me so many important life lessons and without it I wouldn't be the person I am today. Gymnastics is a very disciplined sport and there is so much I have gotten from it. I have learned how to set goals, to push myself even when things are extremely difficult, and most of all the sport has taught me how to dream. Nothing beats the feeling I get when I see a trick for the first time and I wish deep in my heart that I will one day be able to do that skill. When I finally achieve this skill, I feel pure joy and satisfaction. Learning these important life lessons from gymnastics has helped me turn around and be able to use these skills in my everyday
Sporting events have been around for centuries. People have always enjoyed competition and the thrill of being recognized as a champion. In fact, according to Olympic.org, the first Olympic games were held in 393 A.D. It goes on to say that they had a secular character and aimed to show the physical qualities and evolution of the performances accomplished by young people, as well as encouraging good relations between the cities of Greece. So, I find it curious that people would question the legitimacy of a sport. However, the question seems to arise on a fairly regular basis; is competitive cheer a sport? I believe the answer is yes.

Did you know that gymnastic classes are 150-300 dollars a month? I suppose that gymnastic places should lower the price for their classes since gyms seem to raise the prices because a lot of people are practicing there. I believe people won’t go there because it is too much money, also people learn neat tricks. Gymnastics provide a great opportunity for many children. If prices were lowered people could more easily afford gymnastic classes.

Taking up gymnastics is one of the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. While I was in Nigeria, I saw an American gymnastics television show “Make it or break it”. When I saw those athletes use their bodies to gracefully propel themselves up in the air, I was in awe. Although I never really understood what the sport encompasses, I became captivated by it. While in the U.S., my friend who is also a gymnast informed me about the sport and I jumped at this opportunity and enrolled. Gymnastics- I realized after my first two practices- requires a great deal of dedication and skill, and with great dedication comes the skills. This realization did not pose any problems to me due to my unwavering commitment to my education. Gymnastic incorporates

My reactions failed me. All I’ve ever wanted is to not get hurt in gymnastics. Every week I would go to gymnastics to practice. I only hurt myself once in gymnastics. It was when I was doing a backflip into a foam pit, but I hit my head on the edge of the foam pit. After that I don’t think I ever did a backflip into the foam pit. I wanted to go to gymnastics because I thought it would be fun, it was something I liked, and it made me feel happy.

There is definitely one day that I would repeat over and over again. It all started when I went to my school gym to get my first workout of the day. It was game day, and that means that I had to rest for the game during the day after team practice.
You also need to know how to speak the dominant language for the area or culture so you can communicate with others.
