What does it take to solve a mystery? The case involves the tragic death of Hae Min Lee and her boyfriend, Adnan Syed, who was accused of her murder, but i believe that Adnan Syed is innocent for the murder of Hae Min Lee. Adnan Syed is innocent of the murder of Hae Min Lee says he doesn’t remember that day really well. Adnan Syed does answer some questions, and Jay Wilds is a criminal. Adnan Syed is innocent for the murder of Hae Min Lee for these reasons.
He says he doesn’t remember that day really well, but Adnan Syed does answer some Q’s. https://classroom.google.com/o/NTA0NzU2MTI4M1pa (at the bottom of the page) “Sarah Koenig: Did you ever leave the campus before the end of track practice? Did you ever. Adnan Syed: No. Sarah Koenig: You're sure. Adnan Syed: I want to say that I'm 99% sure.” I believe Adnan Syed. It is really suspicious but I believe Adnan Syed more than Jay Wilds.

Jay: I’m the criminal element of Woodlawn. Perceived. It's like how the student body sees me. You know, I mean, people who really know me know that I'm not like that but, you know, you get a certain reputation and kinda sticks with you. Detective: Because of the contacts you have with helping him get his marijuana, he thinks that you're in that element that would be willing to assist him in, um, disposing of the body?”. With this evidence I think that Jay Wilds is framing Adnan Syed & even though Adnan is in jail doesn’t mean he is a killer. So Jay has some experience of
Some of the details that Jay knew were impossible for anyone not involved in the crime to know. Jay claims that he went with Adnan to hide Hae’s car. The police later asked him where it was. “He took them to where the car was. That’s a huge thing right there.” (Koenig 8) This piece of information is huge, and completes the entire story for the police. The consistency here is the straw that broke the camel’s back, the camel being Adnan. The police said that they always suspected Adnan, of course, because he was the ex-boyfriend. Jay’s story clicked right in. When he knew where the car was left, it was the biggest thing that proved that Jay wasn’t lying and that Adnan did murder Hae. Jay had to have been with Adnan when Adnan left the car, or else Jay wouldn’t had known where the car
Physical evidence was extremely lacking, and all DNA tests conducted were clear of Syed’s DNA. Therefore, it is more than likely that Syed is innocent. The evidence, or lack thereof, presented in the case of Adnan Syed v. State of Maryland proves that Adnan Syed is not guilty of the murder of Hae Min Lee.
We believe that Jay is guilty. In the next five minutes we will prove to you that Adnan is in fact innocent and why Jay should be in jail. Adnan was close friends with Jay’s girlfriend Stephanie which is what we believe Jay’s motive was to murder Hae. The court convicted Adnan of the murder with the motive of being jealous of Hae’s new relationship. We argue that the motive of jealousy was what made Jay kill Hae Min Lee.
The State of Maryland has charged Adnan with Hae’s murder solely using Jay’s alibi as their premise; they overlooked the alibis of former Woodlawn High School students who knew of Adnan, Hae, or Jay. Asia McClain, a
My verdict is Adnan Syed is innocent of the murder of Hae Min Lee. I reached this verdict after analyzing the evidence and determining that there was a reasonable doubt that he committed the murder. The following pieces of evidence showed he was not linked to the crime: The first piece of evidence talks about the lack of physical proof.
A lot of people wonder if Adnan Syed is guilty or innocent, today as a legal assistant I'm going to tell you one important reason why he is innocent. Adnan is not guilty because there is another potential suspect like Jay. Jay's story that "proves" Adnan's guilt, has changed every interview and testimony. Jay had intimate knowledge of the crime he knew things, like if he knew every single thing that Adnan was thinking about which makes everything looked suspicious. Also Jay's stories don't quite match Adnan's cell records.
Adnan Syed is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend, and various factors present him as a very likely suspect. Information put together by the state don’t add up, but instead prove he is innocent. Is Adnan guilty or innocent for his ex-girlfriend’s death? In the Serial Podcast, journalist Sarah Koenig discusses the case, committed almost seventeen years ago, and uncovers new evidence that indicates Adnan’s innocence. Adnan Syed has been viewed as a boyfriend, honor roll student, and a murderer. Many described him as a smart, flirtatious, and a likable high schooler. On January 13, 1999, his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, was murdered. Investigators immediately assumed Adnan as the primary suspect because Hae had broken up with him, a month
Think about how often people get arrested and how often trials are held every year, let alone every day. Oftentimes, innocent people are accused and charged for a crime that wasn’t their fault. This was the case for Adnan Syed, an innocent guy who was put in jail for a murder case. On January 13, 1999, Hae Min Lee was murdered at the age of 17. The evidence in this case was very unexplainable, but of course, the state went after Hae’s ex-boyfriend Adnan who really had nothing to do with the murder. Things that prove Adnan’s innocence are the breakup between him and Hae, how Adnan thought about and his feelings towards Hae, how the times and stories told with others didn’t suit well, and his alibi. Additionally, his DNA didn’t match with items
In fact there is no evidence tying him to the crime at all except a few fingerprints and a handprint in Hae Min Lee’s car which means that Syed was at some point in her car. This mean nothing because of how often they hung out together while they were dating and afterwards. Even after the break up both Syed and Lee were still good friends (Episode 1). When law enforcement discovered the body they also found two pieces of evidence next to the body, an empty bottle of alcohol and a piece of rope; they didn't test those two for any DNA evidence (Episode 3). Also supposedly there was shovels Wilds and Syed used to dig the grave for Lee but, both shovels were never recovered along with their soiled clothing that they had on that day from the graves dirt. Wilds threw away the evidence away behind West View mall. “She dives Jay back to Eastview Mall to the dumpsters back there so that Jay can Retrieve the shovels and wipe the handles clean of fingerprints” (Episode 4). The whole ordeal with evidence is almost sketchy seeing how little solid physical evidence the state have against Syed .Proving the state's case was weak there was one person that could disprove that Syed left with Wilds to kill Lee; that person is Asia McLean. McLean in fact wrote Syed notes saying she saw Syed and talked to him in the library at the same time the murder was suppose to take place. No attorney contacted McLean
There has been a lot of speculation and internal conflict as to who committed Hae’s murder. At some points, I thought that surely Adnan had done it. However at other points, there was no way that he had killed her. Based on the lack of physical evidence against him, I do not believe that Adnan committed the murder.
On February 9th, a man named Mr. S on his lunch break was roaming around in Leakin Park in Baltimore, Maryland when he discovered Hae’s body face down in a ditch. The cause of death was manual strength. An anonymous caller told police to check Adnan Syed as a suspect in the murder of Hae Min Lee.
According to Jay Wilds, on January 13th Adnan Syed had told him that he wanted to “kill that b*tch”, referring to Hae Min Lee. Wilds gave the prosecution this first
The case of Hae Min Lee was originally only prominent within Baltimore County of Maryland. It has the trappings of a typical high school murder; a teen is angry at their ex-boyfriend/girlfriend for breaking up with them and as a result, would murder them. However, the case has gained international attention largely due to the investigations from Serial, which revealed an abnormal number of inconsistencies within the case against Adnan Syed. Eventually, this attention culminated into the granting of a new trial for Adnan. Adnan is most likely guilty because of circumstantial evidence that demonstrate Adnan’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. After all, the use of circumstantial evidence is valid if a reasonable argument can be created. Although,
Imagine being in prison for 15 years, convicted for a murder that had extremely little physical and forensic evidence against you. This was one of the numerous holes and facts that Sarah Koenig discusses in Serial that doesn’t match up in the murder case of Hae Min Lee. On January 13th, 1999, a seventeen year old student in Baltimore, Hae, disappears after school one afternoon. Her body was found in Leakin Park on February 9th, 1999, and was manually strangled. Adnan Syed, her ex-boyfriend, was arrested and eventually convicted of murdering her. The unusual aspect about this murder case is that there are many holes in the story that doesn't make sense. There is not much physical and real evidence against Adnan, although more of, stories that former classmates and friends discuss
What would you do if a convicted criminal’s guilt was being questioned? Would you have the urge to let your inner detective shine? If you are one of those people, the perplexity of this murder would be right up your alley. On January 13, 1999, in Baltimore, Maryland, 18-year old high school senior Hae Min Lee mysteriously disappeared after school, leaving her family and friends worried. Weeks later, on February 9, 1999, the innocent young woman’s body was found buried in Leakin Park. Many people, including the whole state of Maryland, pointed fingers at Adnan Syed. Syed comes from a traditional Muslim family, yet he did “American teen-like” things, such as dating and going to
