Hi, Jamie thank you for the response I appreciate your empathy. I too have experienced several hair mistakes. In the past, I went to a hairstylist that was untrained in multicultural hair. I am a woman of color with very fine hair. Assumingly the hairstylist conveyed that my hair type could adapt to a chemical relaxer and or texturizer. Unfortunately, the head hairstylist was mistaken; I experience a chemical burn on my scalp with scabs all over my head. Next, my hair turned a red shade and then fell out. Sadly to it took me over a year restore my hair. Over the years I experience several inexperience hairstylists. So it is rare to find a quality professional stylist. When this occurred, I never spoke to the hairstylist to convey my disappointment.
Rely on your professional stylist to educate and recommend to you what is needed for your hair to be healthy. Often I have to remind clients that there is a reason we (stylists) are licensed by the state, we practice our profession. There are things your stylist has been taught in cosmetology school, as well as, advanced classes and experience. Your professional should know more than you. As my mechanic knows more about cars than I. Although they sell tools a mechanic uses at local auto parts stores very few of us try it at home. I am often taken aback by the exchange between stylists and clients. Trust is necessary as well as sticking with one principal stylist. Often the condition of your tresses cannot be assessed by the untrained eye. As the seasons change, so does our hair.
Seek professional certification. Many salon product manufacturers offer advance training programs in how to use their products correctly. These training programs often offer certifications. For stylists who want to work in the better salons, professional certifications are a necessary addition to the resume.

However, some may only specialize in one type of procedure.[1] So if a person goes to a shop one might cut their hair while someone else dyes it. A cosmetologist may choose to work in the areas of skin or nails. These type of cosmetologist will perform scalp treatments, massages, and facials.[1] They will also remove unwanted hair and shape eyebrows.[1] Some of these cosmetologist will work in department stores. They will spend most day doing make up demonstrations or giving advice on how or what to use.[1] Some cosmetologists will focus specifically on nails. Also known

In which case, they are referred to as CEU credits. Schools also offer courses beyond basic knowledge. Advanced courses for new techniques are available and are encouraged to be taken by working cosmetologists. In order for a salon/spa to stay in business you must stay relevant to the demand of the consumers. When your staff members further their education, it enhances their skills and allows them to become more confident and successful, which is also great for the business. Product knowledge should also be very important to your business. Most beauty schools teach with commonly used professional products, so licensed cosmetologists should be very familiar with using them when coming to work for your business. They also teach their students how to save more product by not being wasteful, and how to keep their area clean and work efficiently. This is vital for the success of your business when hiring new staff
Cosmetology opens up endless opportunities and doors for anyone that is on their way to receiving the license in whichever area(s) that are being specialized in. These opportunities are available for both men and women that emerge and show off their creativity through makeup, hair styling, and etc. Cosmetologists have been important since back in the early Victorian Era to today’s date making improvements in other people’s appearances and self confidence.
Nationally people have to pay a certain rate of tax. In an ideal world, people would receive an annual pay rise from their employers to counteract rising taxes/energy/food costs e.g. cost of living expenses. When this doesn’t happen e.g. When there is or has been a recession, this factor effects the amount of money the average person has in his/her pocket therefore, businesses sales and profits fall. Few people achieved pay rises and with fuel and energy prices rising, people have less ‘pocket money’ which effects sales and profits. They would show a drop in money. National factors are, therefore, very important when considering starting up a business.
“Find what you are passionate about and continue to work hard every day towards a successful future. Even when you think you’ve reached the top, keep striving for new success, the possibilities are endless” (Nino DeAngelis). Many people wonder what is needed to become that successful good paid cosmetologist. Society sometimes think men are not suited for a cosmetology career; little do they know that is not true. A man who was not ashamed of the job which they called a woman’s job would be Paul Mitchell. In the cosmetology industry what is mainly needed is patience, which would be the best skill for this career. Cosmetologists do not only handle hair, but many more parts of the body. A career in cosmetology is based on professional skill or practice of beautifying the face, skin, and hair; therefore one needs to know the safety requirements in using many different chemicals, job description, salary, and benefits to work in this career.
