Hannah Mickey is a student and athlete at Rolling Meadows High School, and I have had the privilege to work with her the last four years. As the varsity basketball coach, I have had the opportunity to watch Hannah flourish in all aspects of her high school career. I would highly recommend Hannah for admittance to the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Although I’ve been asked to write a number of recommendations for students during my teaching and coaching career, I cannot recall being as enthused to recommend a student as I am for Hannah Mickey. As a four-year member of the varsity basketball team, Hannah was called up to play with the varsity towards the end of her freshman year. Hannah was an integral member of teams that played in back-to-back
Victoria Angulo has been a Husky at Chino Hills High School for the past 4 years. She was involved in Softball as an underclassman and continued her passion outside of school as an upperclassman. Her love for softball and drive to work hard paid off when she committed to Blue Mountain College in Mississippi. She is continuing her education at this school with a scholarship and will be able to play the sport she loves. Victoria is also a member of the Yearbook Staff at CHHS. She finds time to go to school events and capture memories to put in the Husky Yearbook. Victoria expressed in an interview how truly blessed she is to have had her best friend Renee Chang, also a Husky at CHHS, by her side these past four years. We are truly lucky to have
“She looks comfortable out there, she doesn't look like a freshman. She compliments us well, and gives us a few minutes here and there, which makes us a deeper and better team.” Varsity coach Hannah Alexander said. “She kind of a little spark for the team. She just goes out there and hustles. And she’s just very coachable, she fixes things that we need her to fix.”
I thoroughly enjoyed having Cassidy as a student. She is a bright young woman who is extremely
Madeline is everything I strive to be in so many ways. My senior year of high school I had an online class at the same time as Madeline and every day she got her work done in a very timely and efficient manner, which is very difficult to do in an online class since you typically do not meet with your teacher face to face. She is an extremely smart young woman and I have seen her succeed in every subject without fail.
When I first met Hannah, she blew me away with her creativity, musical talent, and kindness. However, none of these things were the first thing she taught me. That would have to be my firm belief in patience. I’m the person who dreads standing in line, dealing with other people, and even handling myself. You could say that I am impatient, I prefer the term driven. Hannah is the total opposite. While I highly doubt anyone is likes waiting in lines, she is willing to pick up her phone to help anyone at any time and has so much patience for herself. To top that off, she puts up with me which requires more patience than I will ever have. Hannah teaches me
As the Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach for Rockdale County High School, it is my privilege to write this recommendation for Noel Singh Jr. I have been fortunate to coach Noel on the Rockdale High School Basketball Team for two years; however, I’ve known him for three years. In all of my dealings with Noel, he has shown to be a young man of character, intelligence, and talent. He is now a senior at Rockdale County High School and is displaying the leadership and work ethic that every coach hopes for from his players. Noel has always maintained a positive attitude and remained in character despite his surroundings. Any coach would be proud to have him on their team.
According to Stephanie Hanes’ article titled “Little Girls or Little Women? The Disney Princess Effect," she covers the story of Mary Finucane and her daughter, whom she observed and realized that she had changed abruptly from her usual playful self to a serious and more mature looking character despite her young age (509). Later she came to discover that this was because of the effects of the Disney programs that her daughter had begun watching. Hanes covers the issue of young girls growing up in a highly sexualized environment. Her article explains the influence that the media have on sexualizing the environment for kids through the biased images of women on the internet, books and even television. To support her notion, Hanes applies some
Glenessa Young was a student of mine during fall 2016 semester at Towson University. I enjoyed having Ms. Young in my class during this time. She faithfully attended every class, was always prepared and showed improvement in her lesson as the semester progressed. During our foundation of health education and behavior course she developed learning skills that were both meaningful and relevant to her future in health science and her progression through her academic career.
It is with great enthusiasm and pleasure that I recommend Peyton Silverman. Peyton is one of South Windsor’s talented seniors who have left a positive impression on me as well as many others in our school and community. Well known for her skills on the softball field, Peyton does not lose sight of the importance of an education, and works just as hard on her academic skills as she does with athletics. A level of maturity well above his age, Peyton has a promising future ahead. Peyton is friendly, well-mannered and intelligent. Peyton has continued to develop in all areas of her life throughout her high school career, devoting time and attention to the school community.
The article, “Little Girls or Little Women? The Disney Princess Effect,” was written by Stephanie Hanes to address the influence that our sexualized society has on young girls. She goes into detail about how they become mature too fast from being exposed to an overly sexualized environment, and how the effects are often a distorted self image, and a lowered self-esteem when it comes to activities, similar to sports. The lack of awareness in parents is also discussed. From the moment I started to realize Hanes purpose for writing this text, I had to remind myself to accept her point of view.
She is a born leader, and works excellently in groups and frequently pushes her groups to reach their goals. Furthermore, I have rarely seen a student more respectful to both teachers and her peers than Georgia. She is a very social person, and is both outgoing and funny. Georgia is also exceptionally creative. She is always pushing herself to look at challenges and assignments in a different way and it always pays off, especially when writing essays and in other written assignments, as she is an amazing writer. The characteristics that Georgia has demonstrated throughout her entire high school career have prepared her for the upcoming challenge of collegiate academics. I am certain she will approach these new opportunities with the same persistency and drive for excellence that she applies to all of her endeavors, especially as she challenges herself with the new learning experiences and community that are available in the college setting. To conclude, Georgia is an extraordinary student and person, and I recommend her to this school with my highest regards. Sincerely, Georgia Beckmann Head of College Counselling Prospect Hill Academy Charter School Collegiate
I would also like to consider Hannah Chapman for the one-time bonus opportunity. Once the details of this year’s process are formalized, I would be honored to write a nomination in support of Hannah and her excellent work.
It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Molly, in her pursuit of collegiate ice hockey. I was the assistant coach for Molly’s 2014-2015 season and now the head coach for her 2015-2016 season, on the 19U Casper Lady Oilers team.
As we all have heard, a woman's hair is her crowning glory. Indeed, when you look at Danica Elaine Audrey D. Valdez, the first thing that can make your eyes locked is her long, bouncy, lustrous , and black hair that cascades down to her back. Then, as you move on to her face, its ovalness and silky soft skin that can be likened to Belle, one of the Disney Princesses, can surely captivate your attention. When her eyes are laid on you, being investigated by Sherlock Holmes is the feeling that will arise because she is a doe-eyed lass though it is hard to notice at times due to the spectacles she's wearing. Nevertheless, there's so much more than what meets us in our eyes. Amazingly, her body remains slim even though she loves indulging herself
She ended up graduating with honors as a Magna cum laude. The fact that she has been involved with her school and her community while still maintaining Honor Roll for her entire high school career tells you everything. She is well beyond her years with everything that she has accomplished in her life so far. She was an exceptional student that will impress everyone she meets. I highly recommend her admission into your undergraduate program. Aamira will do amazing things in the future and I know she will be able to prove it if you offer her a place in AUP's freshmen
