In Tanzania, esteem to elders helps to have happiness in the society. Respect for their elder is very important within their culture. Children are expected to learn new things and respect from their family elders and respect wisdom, ability and seniority within the family regardless of their own wealth and success. For instance, when my father came back from New York last week, my sisters and I had to kneel down to greet him “Shikamoo Baba” which means good morning father. He was happy to see his daughters still respect their culture. In my country, “Shikamoo” is a universal Swahili language greeting and it is an expression of respect. In “Titi La Mama,” Shaban Robert describes how Swahili languages gave him happiness and he respects Swahili which is lovely language “One's mother's breast is the sweetest, no other so satisfies.” In general, the most natural way which develops happiness for Tanzania is to greet an elderly and bow down. In the U.S, senior citizen is treated similar but in different ways. People respect seniors, stay together in households and tried to have happy environment all the time. Greeting elders are the same as to nobles, more likelihood for families to live away from their old parents. Everyone has distinct viewpoints of happiness. It is subjective. Happiness for a lot people is a form of something a person does that makes them comfortable or something they really appreciate doing. Some people say happiness is hanging out with their loved ones. Others say happiness is when they distance themselves from everyone to do their own thing in their own world. Since people have an alternate viewpoint of happiness, the definition isn't particular and the meanings are diverse.
Happiness is something that most people can’t achieve. It's a feeling that most people can learn. You can’t learn feelings like anger and depression. You can learn the steps that can guide you into happiness through fulfilling desires. Happiness is something that could be simple or complex. Seeing a puppy could make you happy or winning the lottery.
Happiness is something that all people, no matter what race, gender, or social class, strive for. Based on lifestyle or perspective each person has their independent idea of what happiness is, but everyone shares an end goal to live their definition of a happy life. Many people, though, struggle in finding their way to this goal. They face hardships and challenges that test their happiness every day. Happiness, though somewhat indirectly, does take learning and training to discover and maintain.
Happiness is one of the most basic things that people strive for in life. Everyone wants to be happy. There are hormones and compound in your body that make you feel happiness. There are also things in some people's life that make people happy that might make someone else sad. No one wants to be sad. There have also been studies done to see the causes of happiness.
Happiness is a key to everybodys life. Even the most depressed man on earth has a little happiness deep down inside. Its what keeps us striving to fulfil our needs and wants on an everyday basis. There is not one kid who does not get excited over a dollar to spend at the candy shop. What about the feeling of getting a promotion at your job, or even finding the cure for cancer. Being happy is not just healthy, but it is also rewarding for each and every individual. We strive to find anything that will turn a bad day to a good one. Individuals will compromise to attain their happiness. You can not get what you want without giving something first.
Although there are a number of different nuances and qualifications for this particular term, happiness actually can be defined. In fact, it usually helps to best define happiness in terms of what it is and what it is not. Happiness is certainly a state of fluctuation there is no consistent, prolonged state of felicity. If so, it then becomes normal, the normal becomes boring, and the result a sort of benign content becomes a bland, meaningless state devoid of any significant stimulus. Instead, what is needed for happiness is the vicissitudes of life. Were there no unhappiness, there could not be happiness. Happiness, therefore, is a function of rebounding from and considering the unhappiness that is a potential for virtually almost everyone, although the unhappiness for a particular individual is most relevant to him or her. With that in mind one of the most essential qualities regarding happiness is the fact that it is extremely relative, much like motion, and is best defined as the feeling of satisfaction (ideally punctuated by elation) one gets after achievement or averting the negative vicissitudes on might have encountered.
What is happiness? A feeling or euphoria or a feeling of accomplishment, perhaps both? Is happiness something we can create or something that appears to us when we need it most? I feel that happiness is something that is unique to each person. What fills me with inner joy might not for others and vice versa. Happiness is subjective, but one thing I think everyone will find is that a part of their happiness is found in growing as a person. Life begins at the end of your comfort zone and maybe happiness is found there too! For me, happiness is best achieved when I am growing as a person. Working through obstacles that have come up in my path, expanding my horizons through meeting new people, or learning something new in a class. I have come to see that when I push myself out of my comfort zone (physically or emotionally), this is where I find happiness.
In my definition of happiness, happiness is when someone who experiences frequent positive emotions. These emotions can all be illustrated with joy, interest, and pride. An unhappy person often portrayed negative emotions, such as anger and sadness.
In the article “What Happiness Is’’, by Eduardo Porter, states his point of view about the definition of happiness. Gandhi states “Happiness is when you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony” (qtd. in porter 459). In my opinion happiness can be described in many of ways from different individual’s point of view. My perspective of happiness is when you accomplish something in life, because makes you so proud of what you have done. Happy is something that makes you happy whether it’s a person, a thing or stuff and happiness is desired to be happy. Happiness is important role to maintain happy because without happiness the world would be different.
If there was a survey that asked what creates happiness most people would say money, a
I define happiness as being the one and only creator of your own experience, choosing to take pleasure in what you have, right now, regardless of the circumstances, while being the best you that you can be. Happiness is feeling safe and supported no matter what your doing, and not being ashamed of who you are. Finally, happiness is, fundamentally, a choice. Your choice.
Happiness is not a strange term to us. We usually use that word to express our feelings in every day. Additionally, more than a word, “happiness” is what we really need and always seek in life. However, finding and understanding deeply its meaning is not easy. The online dictionary, “vocabulary.com” defines, “Happiness is a sense of well-being, joy, or contentment. When people are successful, or safe, or lucky, they feel happiness.” Thus, we always wonder if we are happy or how could we be happier in our life. Happiness, therefore, becomes a goal for everybody.
Happiness is often explained as a sense of well- being, joy, or contentment. I believe happiness is exactly that, but it has many factors that come into this word. Many things make people happy, such as love, becoming successful, having a family, or other things. Happiness is brought out everyday in people. For many people the littlest aspects of life are what make them content.
The pursuit of happiness is critical in our lives. Oftentimes, we become confused as to what defines happiness. Happiness is an emotion, but it may also be the steps we take to feel said emotion. Happiness is using virtues and achieving your goal, while appreciating the little things in life.
Happiness is what all human beings/rational beings desire. It is always the end (goal) of our activities, it is an unconditional good.
