Starting your Monday and recover from the weekend is really hard thing for most people. An amazing idea came to instructor by making a game that can refresh our mind and make students accept activity easily. I really like the idea of playing game instead of pushing us into a study. It refreshes my mind and make my mind realize we are on Monday, but not work too much. That made my Monday much easier, and prepared me for Tuesday. It is really good way to experience. Preparing is major aspect to success in your work or study, and anything. On Tuesday, we have been told to read and response to one essay. For me I found that I really hard and not easy to follow. Therefore, I read that many times to get fully understanding the content. I faced hard time, but at the end I got the idea and I did the discussion for that. I feel any game instructor play just prepare students for the next thing. …show more content…
Those things I learned will stay with me until I graduate. First, I learned how to write story. How much different type of stories we have. How we can make our story good and interesting. Reading Tuesday essay make me think differently and make me think about my personal essay I wrote last week. It just makes me realize couple of mistakes I made during my writing. I really like that kind of essay although they are hard to read for me, but it is beneficial. The author Ramsdell in his essay he taught us telling story is not easy and not hard. He states that telling story became easier because of the life we have right now. It is really easy to obtain stories. His talks make me think I can tell story and make me remember things that can help me in the essay. I’m a big fan with that
I learned many lessons in my English 1301 class, but there are three specific ones I liked the most, writing a research paper, using transition words in an essay, and to attend to class. Most of these lessons are a daily basis and I used them or do them in different subjects without noticing it. The daily work in this class helped me improve these three lessons. It also helped me overtake some of the works I had in other subjects.

Franklin D. Roosevelt stated in his second inaugural address that “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.” The Great Depression was the deepest and longest-lasting economic downturn in the history of the Western industrialized world. In the United States, the Great Depression began soon after the stock market crash of October 1929, which sent Wall Street into a panic and wiped out millions of investors. The U.S. could not emerge from the pit of a national crisis without profound social and cultural changes. This era affected people through spending cutbacks and unemployment, but also brought the American people closer to their
Although I have not appreciated writing like I should, it has increased my knowledge on many subjects. From reading vivid stories to reading elaborative articles on difficult subjects, I've developed the skills necessary to understand at least the minimum that is required to continue through the subject. Because of this, I appreciate what I've learned from reading and writing countless short stories, elaborative essays, and reading books on subjects I am interested in.
Everyone on the planet has a goal set in life, but only a handful attempt to improve to obtain their goal by studying the subject their goal is in. In my English class, English 101 this quarter I was astonished by how much I had progressed as a writer sharpening my writing skills and also learned a lot about writing that I hadn’t learned before. In my writing portfolio for this quarter I had to write an autobiography essay, a research essay, and this reflection essay to develop my writing skills better. The writing assignments were fun to do because it challenged me to work on essays of different styles that were new to me. The essay assignments helped me grow as a better writer that gave me the self-confidence and skills to take on the world on my own.
Is there an internal fight between ego and responsibility? In the show "What Would You Do?" Shows that struggle that many people have. From being blinded by physical looks, attention from the public, to not taking on responsibility is all shown in this TV show and shown in these situations.
The authors choose this audience to help them through their hard time and guide the audience toward doing what is best for them. The first way the writing is adaptive to the audience is by the title Should I Keep Trying to Work it Out?. This adapts to the audience that has the same question running through their head. Another way the writing is adaptive is by using quotes from people that have gone through the situation. For example, Janet a divorced, single mom said, “Divorce is such a gut-wrenching experience, and there isn’t anyone I know that hasn’t come through it with their whole world just turned upside down” (1). This helps the reader understand that not only are they not alone but the situation itself is not going to be easy. The tone
I learned the use of Standard English rules and styles in constructing sentences. I also learned how to organize my thoughts, ideas and experiences. Furthermore, I learned how to construct and maintain a coherent transition of paragraphs, as well as, how to select words, idioms, sayings and phrases that best suited the topic or purpose. With time, I even started to use diagrams to help organize my thoughts, ideas regarding the intended topic even before I write it. Learning how to remain relevant to a topic has enabled me to improve my grades.
After reading this excerpt of the high school senior, I was reminded of the many seniors from my high school that acted this way. They were the typical ‘okay’ students who, if they applied themselves, could be the ‘great’ students. Teachers would see these students as intelligent, but just not reaching their full potential by putting the necessary amount of work and effort in. As a result, the teachers would allow the student to pass in work late or never turn in certain assignments. This only hurts the student in the long run, as professors in college do not take work late or gives students special accommodations. Some professors do not care if you pass or fail.
Over the course of this semester I learned a lot about myself as a writer. This English 101 class has really allowed me to expand my essay structure and ways of thinking. This was my first college writing course and it has given me much more freedom when writing because in high school I felt limited and like what we were writing was not very important. In high school I would write essays to just to fulfill the required word or page count and to a degree I still feel like this but maybe that is why I am an engineering major but in this course I actually was able to express my ideas and for the first time really test the limits of my writing capabilities. I really enjoyed being able to incorporate my voice more in my essays and I believe
“Think like a man two” is a comedy that takes place in los Vegas. All the couples reunite to celebrate a friends wedding. What was supposed to be a nice and fun getaway slowly gets out of hand and everyone ends up being in the same jail cell. The main characters of this movie are:
For the reflection, I chose ‘service’ among many different spiritual practices in this book. The reason why I chose it was because I have been interested in serving others in a right way. The selection of Hadewijch ‘Give all for all’ helped me understand what God expects me to do for others. However, Richard Foster mentions at the end of the selection that it was not easy to admit the truth that the author discussed. On my first time of reading, I also had similar feeling like this. It’s because my acts of service for others seem no longer commendable in the sight of God according to his writing. As I read it over and over to fully understand its meaning, I realized that my services that I have done for others may be not satisfying or pleasing God.
Reflecting back on my goals from my fall modern one midterm exam, I set goals of increasing the strength and articulation of my spine when contracting and extending, using my understanding of grounded and weight more in movement, and learning to adjust to different changes of facing and directions. After evaluating myself in terms of musicality, technique dynamics, and how well I accept and apply feedback, I feel that I accomplished my midterm goals and progressed into a more confident student than I have ever been in modern.
I completed Try For Yourself 15.1. It covers the characteristic of mindfulness. I received a score of 5.06. The average score of 313 University of Rochester students was 3.72. The scale was from one to six, with higher numbers being associated with higher mindfulness.
Delgado uses mostly Japanese sources along with the findings left behind for historians when trying to find why the Japanese were able to so easily able to drafted the greatest army every assembled at the time. He uses the Japanese accounts to help tell the story, but doesn’t listen to the small details of what they claimed to have happened. He does so to keep credibility. Historians may not be able to prove anything since it’s observing what was left behind, but to Delgado, it’s more credible that telling what the Japanese told at the time that was exaggerated by not only just the writers but also with religious meanings.
