In Harry Potter and the sorcerer’s stone, the author J.K. Rowling introduces to the reader several characters.
Harry Potter was a very famous series of fictional books and movies by J.K. Rowling. Harry is the main protagonist, who goes to a large, seven-story high castle supported by magic called Hogwarts. Through all the adventures of Harry’s life described in the books, I see it as a very intriguing topic to talk about. Diction, language, and imagery are going to be talked about for the fictional character chosen, also followed by answered questions to give a better idea, through details, of how Harry Potter really is seen.

Books or movies which follow the structure of The Hero’s Journey tend to influence the audience more. Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling and Way of the Rat by Chuch Dixon follow this structure to the point.
I think one of the themes is coming of age because it is shown many times throughout the book. Coming of age is shown when Harry has to deal with things that not even adults can deal with and he has to face big tasks. In the book he has to take charge on a lot of things, he starts teaching people how to protect themselves against spells. He is always helping everybody and figuring out the solutions to problems. This effects the book because everybody thinks he's a really good wizard, and he becomes the hero and the center of attention. He becomes trustworthy and gets to know about all the secret stuff that's going on.
Back in 1990, JK Rowling was inspired to write the Harry Potter series while on a delayed train ride to London’s King Cross (Bloomsbury). She began writing the first notes for the future series, amassing thousands of paper notes about the possible story. Finally, in 1997 Ms. Rowling released the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone through Bloomsbury Publishers (Bloomsbury). The book soon became a bestseller and “the Harry Potter series is now published in 78 languages, with over 450 million copies sold across the world” (Bloomsbury). This popular series has also inspired eight movies, a play, and a themed amusement park.
2) The protagonist in this book is Harry Potter. He is gradually transformed from a timid weakling to a powerful hero. He matures as he struggles with his fight between good and evil in his adventures to find the Sorcerer's Stone. 3)
Even though he starts off as a negative character, readers are led by Rowling
Albus Dumbledore offered me the wise insight that “it is the unknown we fear when we look upon death and darkness, nothing more” (Rowling 566). Although I enjoy reading a novel and questioning what the green light truly symbolizes, I have never enjoyed a book more than Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The most enthralling aspect about this book, and every book of the series for that matter, is that every detail, every sentence, and every strange occurrence ended up having significance. With every sentence I was left wondering how it would somehow incorporate into the bigger picture. Each character had distinct qualities that I adored; these unique characterizations were what made the book magical. The romantic tension between Ron and
Harry changes quite drastically as the story progressed. He gains more determination to fight against the evil and wrongdoings of the wizarding world. The bond between he and his friends strengthens immensely. The will to avenge his parents’ death also becomes more prominent. Harry ultimately changes into a new person by the end of the

Have you ever read the Harry Potter series? I bade you to read the Harry Potter series. I have three reasons why you should read the novel, and they are: if you like magic, if you like wizards and witches, if you like suspense, then read the Harry Potter series. However, if you haven’t read the series, here is a brief description of the first book of the novel: “The Fantasy Novel, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, By J.K. Rowling is about a boy named Harry Potter who was a one year old that was left on the doorstep of his mother’s sister’s house, (Petunia Dursley). His Aunt and her husband, Vernon Dursley, accepted Harry. Eleven years later Harry Potter receives a letter from one of the best schools of Witchcraft and Wizardry named Hogwarts, a school for magic people. When Harry finds out he is a wizard, he sets off for Hogwarts, where he finds that he is very famous because of his lightning shaped scar and his great Quidditch skills. He also meets many kind people and his very first best friends, named Ronald Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry, Ron, and Hermione survive all the way to the end of the novel, where they discover that the Sorcerer’s Stone is about to be stolen, so Harry Ron, and Hermione try to save the stone. Finally Harry Potter alone reaches the stone where he meets the thief of the stone, the Dark Lord. There he most importantly finds a path he must take later in the series to overtake the Dark Lord, if he could survive his destiny.” After reading
Another factor which I believe has led to the novels success is that while reading, the reader wishes that they could live in this fantasy world created by Rowling where life is anything but ordinary. The novels make the reader somewhat desire a life like the one led by the characters of the novels, like going to a school to learn wizarding, always having extraordinary things happen and just being at Hogwarts seems like an unequaled joy for some. These novels have the ability to reignite the long lost imaginations of adults, and keep the imaginations of children strong.
