serves to accentuate Hagrid's maternal role throughout the series. Hagrid serves not only as a mother to these dangerous, isolated magical creatures, but he also serves as a maternal figure to Harry who shows some of the same characteristics. Throughout the series, there are several points where Harry is seen as dangerous. For example, in The Chamber of Secrets, Harry is suspected to be the heir of Slytherin because he can speak parseltongue, and everybody thinks he is dangerous. Also, in the fifth book, The Daily Prophet promotes that Harry and Dumbledore are dangerous and manipulative because they're trying to draw attention to the fact that Lord Voldemort had returned. The Care of Magical Creatures class formed many other connections with characters, but it also connects to and shows several real-world political styles.
It was mentioned earlier that this magical institution connects not only to the characters and events throughout the Harry Potter series, but also to real-world political styles and lessons. One of the real-world political styles that the Care of Magical Creatures class exemplifies is that of populism. The populist political style is exemplified through the intervention of the Ministry of Magic in the incident between Draco Malfoy and Buckbeak. Normally the Ministry will not interfere if a student gets injured. For example, when Harry's arm was broken because of his jinxed broom, the Ministry never jumped in to try and solve what happened or to inflict a
An individual who’s influenced by power, control and corruption is often the king that chooses how the game is played. In Marele Day’s novel, The life and Crimes of Harry Lavender uses a variety of plots, settings and characteristic features that display how power and corruption can influence an individual’s superiority over an entire city.
Have you ever binge watched a TV series? Many people usually do and even consider this a normal behavior in our society; however, the main character, Montag, from the novel Fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury is the only one in his society to be detached from the world of media. The civilians are brainwashed from the nonsense that they are watching and listening to. Television helps people to not interact with one another and trying to stop conversations. The people in the society are also getting into harm's way, when they are watching tv. In his novel, Ray Bradbury puts the focus on technology ruining the lives of innocent civilians.
Albert Camus once stated, "The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so free that your existence is an act of rebellion." If something is not how it ethically should be then it is acceptable to rebel within the limits of what is morally correct. In Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, he presents a world where the government has restricted access to printed literature so they can gain increased control over their citizens. The main figure, Guy Montag, shows an incredible growth in his personality through his journey of enforcing and accepting the government restrictions to stop the flow of information to a realization that the sharing of knowledge leads to a stronger society. Guy Montag's role comprises many qualities, including that he is a loyal and accepting government employee that works as a "fireman" whose job is to destroy all remaining books and to burn the personal property of those that he caught reading the outlawed books. A depressing and lonely home life influences Montag's personality, including a drug-addicted and shallow wife, named Millie. While sadness and loss surround Montag, he is a strong individual that can overcome obstacles and the challenge of the government's policies. Montag struggles when he realizes the impact of his orders from his boss puts on others, and that he must take a stand for the betterment of the public. When the government is not doing their duties of protecting their citizens, either by limiting their knowledge, putting them in danger or destroying those who disagree with them these actions can prompt citizens to turn toward rebellion.

My book report is on the book 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone' by J.K.
Fantasy appeals to us, to put it crudely, because of the relationship between magic and morality. An alternate world filled with strange and wonderful things, a world defined by imagination, gives us a setting in which to lose ourselves within. J.K. Rowling has done this and has captured the minds and hearts of readers all around the world with her bestselling series “Harry Potter”. As we engage in the engrossing narrative following Harry Potter and his friends, some may be able to relate to the lives of such characters. J.K. Rowling takes an undeniably riveting approach to showcasing the round characterizations throughout her novel "Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone" to such a degree that the reader can personally identify with such characters.
How does somebody go from being a follower to a questioner? Fahrenheit 451 is set in a future dystopian world where books are not allowed and if found with them, they will be burned and be sent to jail. The story follows a fireman named Guy Montag whose job it is to burn books. In the story Fahrenheit 451 the character Montag has many distinct and large changes in his beliefs and in his character. Montag has many character changes from who he is at the beginning, who he is at the end, and there are many characters who influence that change in him.
Harry potter and the prisoner of Azkaban is an excellent book. Out of ten stars I would rate this one an eight because it was to short. Once you get into it and finish it. It seems so short, because it is so interesting. Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban starts out with a bang. In the beginning Sirius black a Man accused of thirteen murders in one night escapes from Azkaban.( A wizard prison guarded to the tee by dementors, deadly spirits that feast on anything happy. Basically they suck the life out of you slowly until you go mad and lose sanity). Harry runs away on the same night and crosses the man without realizing it. Since Sirius is an ananamugus he is able to turn into a giant black
“The woman’s hand twitched on the single matchstick. The fumes of kerosene bloomed about her. Montag felt the hidden book pound like a heart against his chest. ‘Go on’” (Bradbury 36-37).
Fahrenheit 451, written by Ray Bradbury, is a Dystopian novel that is based in a futuristic society where it is illegal to own or read books. They enforce these book related laws by use of firemen whose have the job of burning books when they become discovered. Bradbury creates a society where the people completely depend upon technology for everything. Due to these laws and the influence of technology, many people had lost intellect and no longer thought for themselves. All in all, this society outlaws critical thinking, or thinking in any ways that might oppose the government. The main character of this novel, Guy Montag, works as a firefighter, who faces a moral dilemma regarding whether or not he really wants to burn the books and the knowledge
In the story fahrenheit 451 written by Ray Bradbury shows many characters atttitude and contributionn to the story. One character that really stands out and makes me dislike hime or her more than any character in this story is mildred.Mildred is the wife of the main character Montag. She wakes up watching clowns in the t.v. that cause her to separates from her real life. This is not the only reason I dislike her, the other reason is that she treats his husband as if he were not real she rarely talks to him even if she is feeling bad she won't tell him. The way she makes herself happy is not with him it's with her lovely technology every day.She is a horrible person since she makes herself fall asleep pills which shows that she doesn’t care if
