Dear The Harvard College Admissions Committee, I am a hopeful waitlisted applicant for the class of 2021. I am writing this letter in order to emphasize my interest in attending Harvard College. I will attend Harvard if I am admitted. My desire to attend Harvard College stems from many sources. Most importantly, the prestigious engineering program at Harvard College compliments my own engineering interests. Specifically, the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Science places an emphasis on research. Once enrolled, I hope to contribute to the research in Dr. Robert D. Howe’s Biorobotics Lab. Dr. Howe is currently conducting work that will benefit and improve cardiovascular surgery. This area of study is one of special interest …show more content…
My outstanding interviewer, David Mitchell, was extremely welcoming, answered every possible question, advised me on Harvard college life, and encouraged me on this college admissions journey. Mr. Mitchell claimed that he could not describe Harvard in all its glory; therefore, he suggested that I visit Harvard when I have opportunity. I have taken his advice; I will be taking a flight to visit Harvard College on May 3, 2017. Harvard also offers a tremendous amount of opportunities and resources outside of academics. To start, I am confident I will thrive and succeed due to resources such as the Harvard College Engineering Society and their H.U.G.E. student guide. In addition, I will have the opportunity to tryout for the Harvard Men’s Tennis Club. I have played tennis all my life and I could not imagine giving up the sport in college. This letter also provides a great opportunity to update my application. I have maintained a 4.0 simple and 5.09 weighted G.P.A. while enrolled in 8 dual enrollment and 3 A.P. classes during my senior year. During this time, I was able to create an SIAM Mega Moody Math Competition team and a Lockheed-Martin CodeQuest team. My two teams have participated in events for each of these
I keenly look forward to the rigors of your program, and eagerly await the challenge. I would like to thank you for considering my application and I look forward to hearing from
I hope you are having a great summer. I’m ready for the fall semester and working on getting all of my classes in order for this upcoming semester. My goal is get admitted at the W.P. Caret school of business, to do so I need to submit a transferred student portfolio, a resume and two recommendation letters .in the portfolio I will need to have taken specific classes I was able to finish all the needed classes with grades B and better. However, I still need to take ACC 230 OR ACC211 AND ALSO ACC 240 OR 212. They don’t have to be in succession so I enrolled in ACC 230 like I did with you last semester and would like you to approve my enrollment in ACC 212 with Rhonda Culver class number 24233 as my first preference or Andrew Hamilton ACC 240
“What! No! Why!?” Without a doubt, these words have been exalted by many candidates during the competitive transfer process at UW-Madison. Although I was denied transfer admission, I cannot but respect the decision I was given. However, I believe that UW-Madison has not seen the full extent of me. I would like to provide this letter with additional merit to display that I am stronger than earlier evidenced in my Fall of 2016 application.
Babson excites me due to its highly accredited reputation within the business world. Many well respected professionals in this field are Babson alumni and in the future I can envision myself as a part of this esteemed group. I can see myself succeeding at Babson due to my work ethic. Throughout high school I pushed myself academically and with extra-curricular activities. These activities include playing sports, clubs and working at my local mountain. All of these activities have helped me understand organization, time management, how to work with a team and other useful skills that can easily crossover into a workplace environment. Working retail at my local ski mountain really helped open my eyes to the world of business, even though it was only at the consumer level. I could actively see economic principles effecting customers buying habits and how goods were stocked. As I further my economic intelligence more of these principles become apparent to me. As a
To begin this email I would like to discuss updates since my application. I have become eligible and applied for my school's National Honors Society. I have received A's in every course I have taken last year and this year. My courses this year include three AP classes and and two honors classes. While many students lose their drive during their senior year, I have continued to work my hardest and challenge myself with rigorous cources.
I am writing to you on behalf of senior Alexander Wiltz in support of his application to your university. For the last two years I have served as his college counselor. He is a solid student that continues to improve academically as he learns to balance his time between academics and athletics. His junior year was one of growth finishing the year with a 3.2, thus improving his overall average to a 3.14. Determined to continue the upward trend, he made the decision to scale back his athletic involvement to focus on his academics. His grades have been remarkable and it is shaping to be his best year academically. Alex chose to pursue electives geared towards business and plans to pursue the major in college. He spends his summers shadowing at
I’m sure Brandon’s resume is packed full of achievements, as he has had much success in a wide variety of areas including academics, music, debate, and table tennis, but what his resume cannot demonstrate are all of the reasons why I consider Brandon a friend. I would say Brandon and I became friends during gym class football. For the not so athletically inclined individuals like Brandon and me, gym can be the absolute worst part of the day, especially the football unit. Together, we were able to make the best of it. I remember this one day, I threw him the ball, and he didn’t catch it. It just bounced right off his glasses, but instead of being embarrassed, he just started laughing. The ability to laugh at our own
It is a great pleasure to write this letter in support of Allen’s application. I have known Allen personally for the past __ years. As a former member of this sorority, I believe that this young lady will be a good addition for this organization. It is always a pleasure to be around Allen and her positivity. This Young woman is very respectful, intelligent, and outgoing. She is very sharp with being organized, and making decisions for herself. She is willing to help out those who are in need and strongly support others. She is also very ambitious. I believe that with these traits Allen will be a good asset for this organization. She is very determined and goes after what she wants.
I am writing you this letter to help ensure that I, Christopher Quintanilla, remain enrolled at Neumont University for the upcoming quarter. I haven’t been performing to the best of my ability in recent quarters and I would relish in the opportunity to right the ship next quarter especially since it will be my first quarter of Enterprise.
I am writing this letter on behalf of Zunaid Haque regarding his application for admission in your post graduate computer science program. I have had the pleasure of knowing Zunaid Haque since 2013 when he joined at IBM. As a co-worker and team member I have personally witnessed his intelligence, diligence, professional attitude and cooperative spirit that impressed me very
My interest in information science first emerged while working on household survey and clinical research projects at RTI International and Duke University Medical Center. While working in different roles in project management, operations, and training, I became involved in a variety information technology activities including, managing a field test of new project hardware and software; identifying functional requirements and creating specifications for project websites and data collection tools; testing systems; providing troubleshooting support & software training; and working as a liaison between management and IT staff for system changes and new developments. I immediately recognized the centrality of information systems in research
Yale-NUS chose me for the gratitude I had in the past, and I chose the college for the freshness I will have in the future.
I sincerely appreciate the committee’s time in evaluating my application. I look forward to hearing from you
I am one of the numerous amount of students enrolled in your class and most likely, you have no idea who I am. I am hopeful that this letter will apprise you about my personality, work ethic, and other characteristics.
I sincerely hope that the admission committee may reconsider my application and if a further opportunity may be granted for me to prove my suitability for Lee Hysan
