"I feel guilty having not once thought of father, I can't wish for him to appear until I know where we'll be"pg.90 This shows a certain maturity form Ha has grown she's understanding she can't just wish for him to appear she's is not where she was, home is gone."I don't know them, so their pain seems unreal."Pg.85 This quote lead me to believe that Ha's character doesn't understand the extent of what’s going on in the story .

A dynamic character is a character that changes and develops throughout a story. Usually these changes occur due to events, experiences, or just simply maturing. In The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, the most prominent example of a dynamic character is the book thief herself, Liesel Meminger. At the beginning of the novel when she is only nine years old, she is a very different person than she is at the end of the novel. By then she is nearing fifteen years of age and has underwent a numerous amount of situations, both traumatic and beautiful.
Ha is being turned inside out in the following ways, Ha goes to a new school, she doesn't know where to sit at lunch and she has to deal with bullies. One way to show that Ha is turned inside out is when she wakes up for school and she is nervous saying that “I woke up with dragonflies zipping through my gut”(Lai, pg. 139). This shows that Ha is inside out because she is nervous about going to school since she is in a new place and doesn't know what school will be like in America. Another way to show that Ha is turning inside out is at lunch there is “...one side of the bright, noisy room, light shin and on the other side dark skin”(Lai pg. 143). Since Ha is in the middle of dark and light she doesn't know where to sit; she doesn't know what
Dynamic characters are characters that are found in almost every book, and are characters that change throughout the story. In Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix, Luke Garner is a third child, in a country where third children are illegal. In the beginning, Luke is not able to go outside anymore due to the woods being clear, and new houses being built. He is not able to go outside, in fear of someone seeing him. In the middle, Luke meets Jen, another illegal third child. Jen is a baron and has many more privileges than Luke does, but she still does not want to hide. This is why she organized a rally to protest the rights of third children. In the end, Luke Garner becomes Lee Grant, and has to leave his family to go to a boarding school. Luke realizes that he wants to do something about the Population Law, because it’s not right for third children to live their life in hiding. Luke has drastically changed in many different ways throughout the entirety of the story, in both good and bad ways. Luke has gone from obedient to disobedient, unaware to knowledgeable, and apprehensive to confident.
A character in the novel Inside Out and Back Again, by Thanhha Lai, changes from the beginning of the novel to the end. The character who changes throughout was Ha. Ha is a 10 year-old girl from Vietnam, who had to leave because of Vietnam War. Ha had to move from a place in which she was so comfortable to go to a place where things were unfamiliar and confusing. Two examples of how Ha evolved was becoming more mature and finding different ways to show her intelligence.
Ha's mother sounds like a women that really wasn't expecting the war, or just wasn't prepared for such an event. As stated by Ha " Not even Mother, sleeping beside me knew".In this case Ha's mother was not aware of what was around them, and she had a lot of pressure on herself to keep apHa and the boys safe. Earlier in the novel, Ha stated in what she thought was "Inside Out" was that " maybe the whistles that tell mother to push us under the bed will stop screeching", indicating that she is willing to risk their life, just like every good mother in the world. Overall Ha's mother since the beginning of the war, showing by her tone, and use of words. She is becoming more brave, however at the same time is being really nervous, and has much

Over the course of the novel, one realizes that Hagar's loneliness and depression are, in fact, brought on by her pride, detached emotions, obstinacy and ignorance which she uses, subconsciously or not, to push those who love her most away. Hagar Currie was incapable of loving others, much like
For example, Capricorn Anderson is and a Dynamic Character. This is why he is a Dynamic character in the story Schooled. Capricorn went through many changes from the beginning all the way to the very end. He starts not knowing anything about the real world. There are many aspects in the novel that make you sympathize with the characters. Ethan felt trapped in a loveless marriage with Zeena. He wanted to leave

In Thanhha Lai’s book Inside Out and Back Again, Ha changes many aspects of herself. Two particular qualities she changes are her thoughts on who she is becoming and how she is increasing in maturity. These changes prove that Ha is a dynamic character. Ha modifies her identity. One example on how she changes her identity is when she presumes she is dumb.
A static character is one that does not undergo any changes throughout the story. Whereas a dynamic character is one who does undergo some type of change throughout the story. In Hills Like White Elephants there are two main characters. The man, also known as “The American”, is a static character in the story. This is because from the beginning to the end of the story his emotions on the operation and toward the girl do not change.
A dynamic character is composed of 3 qualities; a dream, growth, and an individual voice that he/she may give to the story. In the best-selling book A Raisin in the Sun, many major characters go through change and adapt towards the end of the story. But one character in particular stood out; Beneatha Younger is a beautiful and intelligent college student who has aspirations in becoming a doctor. Of course, the economic struggle in her family and the gender norms in society stand in the way of her dream. Her obstacles and how she dealt with them shapes her personality to be different from the beginning, ultimately changing her expectations on her dream.
For Harken at first may have wanted to return to her old life, yet in that moment when she couldn’t, she understood she had responsibilities that were necessary for her to uphold, such as raising her daughter. Additionally, Harken has become ‘too’ human, if she were to resort to her old lifestyle the human emotions surely would have followed. For such feelings as regret, and loathing for abandoning her daughter, and speculation of a possible life to be. Whereas she knew if she returned to being a
For example, Darth Vader is a dynamic character that changes throughout the whole book. Is he always bad? No, he saved his son, whom is the protagonist of the story. The character who I want to talk about is Ava Paige.
