Hawaii
Hawaii is a state that attracts tourists because of its history, geography, entertainment, and culture. It is well known for its volcanoes, beaches, and climate. For these reasons, tourism is the main thing Hawaii is known for. Hawaii was recordivly discovered on January 18, 1778, by 2 explorers, James
Cook and Captain Clerke. They went to the shore of Kealakekua Bay, where they were greeted by cheering natives. Later, a native stole one of their boats, so Cook and some marines were going to take the king hostage. The king didn't object to this, but the natives did. There was a brief battle, but by the end of it, Cook was dead, (The Antarctic

About 2,500 Americans and about 60 Japanese, (although it is tough to figure out how many Japanese), people died at this site. After rebuilding from the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii took a turn for the better. In 1959, Hawaii became part of the United States of America. This did wonders for the economy, (as far as plantation farming for sugar and pineapples). It also saw more people coming in as a fact of tourism. In 1959, two hundred forty three thousand people visited Hawaii, (Borreca A10). No one would've ever expected the now five million people a year tourist industry.
People go there to see historical site such as Pearl Harbor. There are six main islands in Hawaii anyone can visit. They are Kauai, Oahu,
Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and the Big Island of Hawaii, (they are listed from west to east).
The capital, Honolulu, is located on Oahu. The most populated island is Hawaii, the main island, but the most populated city is Honolulu. All of the islands have a vast amount of topography, but mostly the same climate. The temperature there is mostly between 70 and 90 degrees all year round, fluctuating between levels of land, weather being sea levels or beings the volcano levels. Hawaii has valleys, oceans, mountains, plains, craters, and just about everything you can think of. The temperature is one of the main tourist attractions, as well as the sandy beaches and volcanoes. When a person goes to Hawaii for a vacation, they would

An Indian and French soldier arrived to inform Bourgmont that the boats with the cargo and goods were undamaged but crewmembers were sick with a fever. He sent both French and Indian men to gather the boats and sent Missouri Indians to inform the Oto tribe that he had arrived (Bourgmont, 52-53). Bourgmont then accompanied each of the four chiefs, one from each tribe-Illinois, Osage, Missouri, and Oto. The Missouri ‘Princess’ also traveled with them (Bourgmont,

The exact nature of the encounters between Captain James Cook and the Polynesian natives of Hawaii as well as all interactions and exchanges between Europeans and native Polynesian peoples of the Pacific while Cook was exploring the islands of Hawaii and after has been investigated by anthropologists and historians for many years. Captain Cook died at the hand of Polynesian natives while he was at Hawaii in 1779. Marshall Sahlins stated that Cook was seen as the god Lono during the celebration of the Makahiki festival taking place at the time of Cook’s visit. Gananath Obeyesekere, in his noted work, The Apotheosis of Captain Cook: European Mythmaking in the Pacific, argues
Hawaii was once filled with warm weather and aloha spirit. Well, atleast thats what I once remembered. Two centuries ago, America sent out a signal to Shuttle Delta 400, a satellite research base stationed up in space. Without Intelligence knowing, the signal was accidentally transmitted to Russia's Satellite defence, triggering their nuclear weapons on their own territory. It was just the beginning of World War III. For years both countries fought, one seeking revenge, and another seeking apologies and pity. The war escalated into a nuclear war, killing those by the hundreds, and vaporizing others by the thousandths. America, the land of the free, the land of the brave , and the land of justice was left with nothing but rebel and crime.
Hawaii is located at about 20 degrees north and 156 degrees west. Did you know that Hawaii is actually around 2,400 miles, southwest, from California? The popular state’s nickname is “The Aloha State”, it became the 50th state in the year of 1959. Roughly, 1,500 years ago, the Polynesians came to this island from the
years ago and began to make a civilization off the land. These natives began to
The Marshall Islands has had a very unique history with many different places controlling. The first people that settled on the Marshall Islands came from Southeast Asia somewhere between A.D. 500 and 1200. In the 1500’s Spanish explorers were the first Europeans to encounter the islands. In 1886, Germany had control over the islands. Later in 1914, Japan took over, which was at the beginning of World War I. During World War II in 1944, the United States invaded the Marshalls. They also defeated the Japanese in major battles. In 1947, the United States began administering the islands as part of the United Nations Trust Territory of the Pacific. In 1979, the Marshall Islands adopted its own constitution and separated from the Trust Territory. Finally, on October 21, 1986 the United States granted independence to the Marshall Islands. The Marshall Island’s national anthem is called “Forever Marshall Islands”.
The annexation of Hawaii was an important event in the history of the world. It is still not easy for the Hawaiians to accept the fact that America had taken over a land 2500 miles away from the West Coast. In 1917 Hawaii was considered the 50th state supported by the islanders after a plebiscite. Queen Lydia Kamakaeha Liliuokalani was overthrown because of the support of the United States army as well as naval forces to a group of businessmen belonging to the sugar and pineapple industry. The Armed forces of the United States were ordered to provide this support on the directives of the minister of the United States to Hawaii. In reality they were missionaries who had been welcomed for several years by the
When Columbus and his men arrived to the islands, he noticed that the natives were generous, and accommodating because they willingly traded everything they owned and brought them such things like: food, water, and gifts. Since the beginning the natives offered all of their hospitality to Columbus
I. The reason why Hawaii is an enjoyable place to visit is because of its steady weather patterns,
Hawai’i Island is the biggest Island and is AKA the Big Island, even though there are not that much similarities. The Big Island and Oahu have lot of tourist attraction from the volcanoes or to the things that can only be bought here in the state of Hawaii. The Big Island and is very different from what here on the Oahu, but the Spirit of Hawaii and kindness of the people here are the same. Any non-locals that come here for a vacation or is on business are given a kind and good service to whatever they’re doing.
When Cook visited New Zealand he meet Cannibals. When he visited Australia they just meant the people with no interest in possessions. When Cook visited Batavia it was a Disease Death trap! When Cook visited Cape town (he had to hire men in order to sail back to England). When Cook returned two of his children died and their names were Elizabeth and Joseph During his first voyage.
Essentially, the key fact that makes the islands of Hawaii so unique and worthy of studying is that nearly the entire mountain range is built entirely by volcanic activity and each island is the top of an enormous volcanic mountain. These exceptional qualities fuel the study of how the islands themselves were created, in order to answer the curiosities behind the composition of some of the most extravagant volcanoes in the world.
Japanese geography consists of four major islands; Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu and other interesting facts that make up the geography of Japan.
