In table (6) no significant association between knowledge and attitude of physicians towards HCAIs. Contrary to this, nurses knowledge was significantly associated with their attitude. Also the total scores of the nurses' knowledge and attitudes were directly correlated (r=0.117- P= 0.0001).From the table also no significant association or correlation occurred between knowledge and practice of both physicians and nurses. The total attitude scores of physicians were directly correlated with their practices concerning HCAIs. (r=0.645 – P=0.0001).
As two new co-advisors step up to lead HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America, Lisa Cardillo and Sarah Brink do their best to assist the club. The goal of HOSA is to introduce health careers to students, for the hope to enhance future health care. Students who are interested in the health related fields can benefit from joining the club since HOSA allows them to have an opportunity to shadow health professionals. Being dedicated towards the club and having motivation to lead, Cardillo and Brink use their experiences to help guide students to find their passion. Familiarizing themselves on how HOSA runs is a challenge for the new co-advisors; however, other obstacles that they have to face are planning field trips, and helping students
educational level of the nurses and quality outcome of patient care. The research has found that
contribute to the costly effect include the fact that nurses have, increased incidence of nurse burnout and patients have poorer outcomes increasing both mortality and readmission rates. Nurses are a large component to keeping readmission rates down through spending time with a patient and educating and empowering patients on self-care through helping patients understand importance of medication regimen adherence, importance of diet adherence, ways to reduce infection and various other skills to care for self at home" (Problem Memorandum Assignment, 2015) The documents exigence is crucial the audience to better the outcome of patients and that of the health
The newly qualified nurse is in an especially good position to provide excellent patient care. Having only recently left education and training, the most up-to-date evidence regarding best practice should be fresh in the newly qualified nurse’s mind. However, what knowledge the newly qualified nurse possesses in theory, they lack in experience.
In this 21st century, health care is advancing remarkably and achieving various results through research. Research is vital to bring about new inventions, techniques and improvements and create a new body of knowledge. In nursing, research helps to bring about improvements in current practice, knowledge, patient outcomes as well as to create new polices and upgrade the existing ones. For example, a “re-challenge protocol” was created by the researchers to reduce the drug reactions caused by two chemotherapeutic agents. Likewise, numerous research is conducted to improve scientific knowledge in various fields of science. One such knowledge in the field of science is the nursing knowledge.
The Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Educator, Nurse Informaticist, and Nurse Administrator have different educational background and training, thus they play a different role in the field of advance practice nursing but they have a common goal, and that is to ensure a safe and effective delivery of care to every patient, regardless of the type of health care setting. The difference is their roles lies in the fact that the Nurse Practitioner practices in the advanced clinical role while the Nurse Educator, Nurse Informaticist, and Nurse Administrator have the non-clinical roles. Having a clinical role means that the having a direct contact with patient. The NP’s main role is to provide direct care to patient, making diagnosis
Evidence based practice, “involves integrating the best available research evidence with professional expertise while also taking account of patient preferences the patients state setting and circumstance and health care resources” (Gerrish, K. Lathlean, J, 2015). As the health care profession constantly changes, then it is vital that all evidence based practice is kept up to date with current information and research, relating to nursing practice. Always assuring that the patients need are taken into consideration (Sackett et al, 1996).

The state nurture authorizing board handles the permitting for medical attendants either proficient or common sense. The credentialing procedure plans to assess the competency of the candidates to decide if they are fit the bill for an arrangement to the therapeutic staff.
On the course lecture note, on the nursing history and conceptual models, it states that the goal for seeking additional formal education is to strengthen the platform from which nurses make better decision, plans, and evaluation of patient outcome and in order to to do this , enhanced knowledge is required.
The impact of report on practice particularly in primary care is very huge. Over the past decades, we have realized, with every passing decade, nursing has become an increasingly integral part of the healthcare services, so that a future without large numbers of nurses is highly impossible to envision. We have also witnessed the drastic changes and advancement that have happened in the field of nursing over the past decades. Nurses have to change their current health care practice in order to meet the growth and also the goals of the IOM report.
Hospitals nationwide can account for their nurse’s patient care through the survey (). If a nurse is consistently having issues with patient care, it can be shown through this survey and improved on. This leads to better teaching practices in nursing schools and hospitals. When nurses can see what works and does not work, improvements can be made in training new nurses, and this is based on patient needs. Patients are the best source of information on how to improve nursing practices, which is why the HCAHPS has become successfully and widely
Attaining a high level of education will improve the healthcare system only if nurses are fully utilizing their knowledge and abilities. Many times nurses face challenges in exercising their abilities and knowledge due to institutional policies or government regulations,
In nursing research is crucial for nurses in delivering care for patients. Today, nurses are accepting the requirements of evidenced based practice into their clinical areas and also for decision making. Researchers had argued that regardless what discipline the healthcare providers belongs too; it is an obligation for all of them to strive and extend the body of knowledge for better patients’ outcomes (Polit & Hungler, 2001). As for nursing, there is a lot of knowledge can be gained by nurses via research studies. Globally the ultimate goal in healthcare is to facilitate patients’ to reach the highest level of health status that would allow them to participate in the social and economic life of the community that lives in. To achieve these goals, the healthcare industries need to adapt the best practice approach for patients’ care. Best practice is adopted via research; the search scientific knowledge is indeed strongly supported by nationwide (Lea, Williams & Donahue, 2005).

Healthcare delivery system changed as knowledge- intensive setting, and in that settings, nurses are the largest group of knowledge workers (ho… 2013, p4). But that doesn’t mean that nurses should not be performing hand-on-care. The continuous rise in the acuity level of patients and the availability of new knowledge and evidence, changed the actual work nurses used to do and how they do it. Information technology is the aspect, that contribute the change of our work from task based to knowledge based. Standardized nursing language, Electronic health records, and different analyzing strategies, all helped to improve the nursing process and our clinical thinking.
