Wearing PPE to protect the workers during the activities at work so wearing helmets to protect themselves from heavy equipment . Employees being trained on equipment to prevent injuries as they would have more experience meaning there will be less errors. if there was faulty machinery and wasn’t checked a person could suffer injuries from dismemberment to loss of life.
Working environment should be kept tidy with adequate lighting and safe equipment will help prevent accidents. Emergency procedures are involved like first aids for accidents and fire safety because if flammable substances spilt could cause fire meaning dangerous substances needs to be handled correctly.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) relates to the safe handling, storage and disposal of potentially dangerous substances.
In the engineering workshops in city of bath college In metal working fluids breathing in aerosols, mist and fumes when machining causing irritation of the eyes, nose and throat and occasionally breathing difficulties such as bronchitis and asthma. Skin contact can cause irritation. Further more do not use unrefined mineral oils and mildly refined distilled oils, which may cause cancer.
