Lee Health has been a leading provider of acute, home health, and subsequent addition of out-patient medical services in Florida’s Lee County since 1916. Over its 100 years history, Lee Health has been at the forefront of medical advancements, demonstrable benefactor for social responsibility endeavors, one of largest organizations in Lee County offering employment opportunities to the community, and a community leader for progress. The initial hospital consisted of a 15 bed unit supported by a traveling physician and four nurses. Today Lee Health is represented by 4 acute care hospitals for a total of 1,426 beds, two inpatient rehabilitation centers, a long term care facility, a children’s hospital, and a myriad of out-patient physician, surgical, therapy, and urgent care centers. Health care marketing in the current environment requires a multi platform, multi pronged approach to reach target audiences, facilitate community out-reach, and provide for the common good. Several initiatives are the focus for a successful, ongoing marketing plan for Lee Health. The first initiative is to definitively define the Lee Health brand to provide for an integrated marking communications plan. The second initiative is to develop and support the brand identity in a manner that conveys trust, confidence, and quality that Lee Health stands for.
