Health Care Marketing Reflection

In recent years, hospitals have relied on marketing strategies through newspapers, letters, or television. Currently, the new word of mouth is social media on how organizations such as hospitals, spread the word. This paper will examine the current health care marketing techniques used for social media. Included in this will be how the marketing is used, the author's opinion on the marketing techniques for social media, how social media affects the consumers, and if social media within healthcare as a positive or negative effect. Conclusion I believe that current techniques and trends in health care are beneficial and necessary not only to health care organizations and their employees but also to the consumers. Advancements in social media have allowed marketing to reach out even further and draw in more customers, which enables the success of an organization. It also starts to help organizations keep up with the consumer trends and even start new ones. Everything that stems from marketing is done so in order assist the organization and the community it serves. The only time I see marketing having a negative impact is when the company does not handle it correctly.
