Health literacy is the capability which the people are able to learn, process, and understand some of the basic health services and information that is needed in order to make the good health decisions you need to make. Health literacy also includes a lot of skills. One of these skills is the calculating of your cholesterol and your blood glucose levels, measuring your medications, and also the understanding of nutrition labels, all of these skills require you to use your math skills. Choosing between health plans or comparing prescription drug coverage needs calculating premiums, copays, and deductibles.
