In this country there are numerous concerns about health care economics. Several factors contribute to the increase of health care costs. One area of concern is the impact of managed care on health care finances. Managed care has been around since the early 1970s. The definition of managed care is a set of contractual and management methods implemented to manage the financing and delivery of health care services. Initial implementation of managed care was for health care cost saving (Getzen & Moore, 2007, p. 203, para. 1). Though Managed care initially addressed several health care finance issues, there are still problems with the current

In recent years, health care has been a huge topic in public debates, legislations, and even in deciding who will become the next president. There have been many acts, legislations, and debates on what the country has to do in regards to health care. According to University of Phoenix Read Me First HCS/235 (n.d.), “How health care is financed influences access to health care, how health care is delivered, the quality of health care provided, and its cost”.
The proposal uses techniques through a MAP-IT technique and uses SMART goals to implement their initiative. When writing goals using the SMART goal process nurses must evaluate their goals based on the time frame they need to apply their desired outcomes (Healthedpartners, 2014). These goals for community health promotion programs should be specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic, and time sensitive goals for community designs. A weakness noted is that when navigating through the website of Healthy People 2020 there appears to be an overwhelming amount of information and some of it appears to be re-iterated from page to page. I believe that maybe this can be condensed between the topics and objectives and the leading health indicators. Healthy People 2020 has over 42 topic areas with 1200 objectives with a smaller selection noted to be the leading health indicators. This can be very confusing for the reader when trying to navigate. When reviewing the progress update of the health indicators I noticed that there was a weakness here that only 4 indictors exceeded their target goals (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services of Healthy People.gov,
When planning a curriculum, a designer or program planner has three very important aspects, foundations, and vision to ensure are in place. They are program goals, program objectives, and program outcomes. Issue that in my opinion would affect the evaluation of a domestic violence program would be lack of information on the victim and abuser. Another affect on evaluation would be is there a data base on domestic violence crime. Is the data assessable, is there a statistic rate what is the ratio of women, men, and children been victim of domestic violence. Other issue that could affect the planning of domestic violence is the long term affect of being a victim of domestic violence. According to (N.D), "[The long term effects of domestic violence have not begun to be fully documented. Battered women suffer physical and mental problems as a result of domestic violence. Battering is the single major cause of injury to women, more significant that auto accidents, rapes, or muggings. In fact, the emotional and psychological abuse inflicted by batterers may be more costly to treat in the short-run than physical injury. Many of the physical injuries sustained by women seem to cause medical difficulties as women grow older. Arthritis, hypertension and heart disease have been identified by battered women as directly caused or aggravated by domestic violence suffered early in their adult lives.
The article I choose for the Unit 4 Assignment addresses how health care reform is unfinished business in United States. We still have many barriers to overcome if we to provide coverage and access to everyone who cannot afford it. Since I am earning a degree in Health Information Technology and already work in the health care industry this article is relevant to my field of study. This is a hot topic in our country today as it seems that everyone has an opinion on this subject whether for or against the Affordable Care Act. I am including my freewriting on this article below:

Kaiser is able to respond to the challenges set forth because they continue to evaluate what changes need to be made and how to make them successfully. The strategic plan allows for an overview of where the facility is currently standing. This allows for any changes that are made internally or externally to be evaluated at the time of the change instead of after the change has been made and it is too late. The strategic plan helps to have a faster response time because there is already plan in place so it is easier to see where the changes are made and how to correct them without the facility suffering.
