When looking for someone for this project, I was looking for someone sadistic with a unique personality. Although using sick comedy for all his crimes, the Joker is a mastermind of chaos. Although there have been many depictions of the Joker, all resulting in different and unique styles, I believe that Heath Ledger’s role as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” movie, was undoubtedly the best. The interesting qualities about the Joker are that no one knows anything about his early life, because despite being captured by the Police, he seemed to be a phantom. There were no finger prints to his name, nor were there any dental records. Multiple times the Joker spoke of his past, but they didn’t seem to be consistent, but all depicting how he received …show more content…
He saw the child with a long scared expression on his face, so he used that same knife on him, thus creating his knife carved smile. Later on he then changed up the story. He later stated that his wife previously had a gambling problem. When she struggled with losses and was unable to repay back loan sharks, she received many beatings. This resulted in her having many scars, but since they were poor there wasn’t enough money to go around for them to pay for surgery. In some sort of desperate efforts, he stated to his wife that her damaged image didn’t bother him, so in some sort of strange way to try to cheer her up, he carved a smile in his face to match hers. This disturbing image instead left his wife in shock and she ended up leaving him, thus resulting in him to be stuck that way for the rest of his days. No one knows whether these stories actually remain true due to the fact that it’s known he’s lying in one of these, but he always seemed to like to talk about his scars. One of the things that make The Joker stand out from the crowd is his witty, psychotic quotes. Such
In the movie The Dark Knight there is a villian named The Joker. The Joker can be described as having multiple personality disorders and psychological disorders. He would be considered schizophrenic and disorganized schizophrenic for his psychological disorder, and Antisocial for his personality disorder. Having a personality or psychological disorder can affect how you cope and do things in an everyday life. These disorders definitely effect how the joker acts and goes about life.
The Joker has no alter ego. He walks around the way he is with his deformed face full of scars and in some versions, with his bright colored hair and bleached skin, always with that maniac, chilling laughter which always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. He has no personal agenda to all the brutality he inflicts, no thirst for revenge or materialistic goals made him reach this point. He lives to dismantle the codes the society lives by and all he hopes for is to rip apart the expected codes of morality, so the people can then be free of any faith, any belief of right or wrong. He creates situations for the people of his town
Joker is harming him in this part by making him feel as though he is responsible for the innocent people that the Joker has killed. Another conflict is
For my first paper, I decided to talk about the Joker. In my opinion, the Joker’s personality is interesting. I understand why he became who was. In the essay, I’ll talk about who the Joker is, why he became who is now, and how that is shown through the brain.
Reaper Joker may seem unique, but I think a lot of people can relate to him. I have no intention of sounding egotistical, but watching the Joker explain himself was really almost a perfect description of how I feel day after after day. The repetition of walking down my path in life appears endless, yet I continually force myself down it not knowing where I'm going, I still look for the person that can walk down the same path to this day and sometimes I wish I had the luxury of being able to escape the stress and depression into insanity. Yet I know that this is all only artificial perception which has no real purpose, so I just follow what interests me and occasionally obsess over these "special" things I find. I've made it my goal to scientifically
Leto recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where revealed that Ayer knew what he wanted the Joker to look like right from the start.
In the film, The Dark Knight directed by Christopher Nolan, The Joker, one of Batman's most dangerous enemies whose aim is too push Batman to his ultimate limits, to break his personal rules and strict moral code. This, being the Jokers only reason to live, he has no fear of death and pain. The Joker is characterised as a calculating and logical criminal, a rebel with minimal empathy or moral and a nemesis who commits purposeless crime. Together these characteristics are developed through specific and appropriate use of technical aspects, such as, camera movement, camera angles, props and dialogue. Together these techniques create a character who is an extraordinary to watch, as he causes chaos in Gotham City, all to get
“They can 't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.” – Alfred Pennyworth, The Dark Knight, 2008. He’s known by many names; The Clown Prince of Crime, Killer Clown, Mr. J, but to most he’s simply known as The Joker. Being one of the few villains that are just as popular as their hero, The Joker is a pop culture icon. There’s a dark past and a mysterious history behind one of DC comics most beloved villains. There have been countless stories told and a few actors that have portrayed Batman’s nemesis, but the dark cloud of The Joker’s past remains obscure and incredibly intriguing. This leaves countless loyal fans wondering who’s behind that killer smile.
when the Joker speaks its someone who doesn't care, own minded, thinks in his own unique way,
5.) Crossing the Threshold The Joker knows that he and his father must help those innocent people in San Francisco. Without taking any time to think about it, he dropped everything and headed on his way to California with his father.
Appearing to be the most evil, deranged, and flat out psychotic killer of all villains in “The Dark Knight”, The Joker is the main antagonist of Batman. He is the complete opposite of Batman, in everything from appearance, to ideals. The Joker views murder as sport, and will not hesitate to toy with his food before he eats it, even if said food are the men he has hired to work for him. As intimidating as he is psychotic, in the movie he seems to struggle with an identity crises. Which would put him in Aristotle’s list of character types as a Vicious/Self-indulgent. The reason for that would be that in the movie he states that he is tired of just stealing money from other people he is in shear he of something more which would be toying with Batman as if he were a baby playing with its food. Therefore represents the fact that the joker used to know what was good and was wrong, but choose to do the wrong which made him Incontinent/Soft. Then again I feel like the joker didn't choose to become the way he is now, it was just his childhood that made him like that because in the book he keep on talking about his tormented childhood. He know has no morals for himself to the point where he doesn't care what he does and is now just knowing the bad, doing the bad, and having little or no regret which make him a Vicious person.
The way Joker was introduced in The Killing Joke was simply amazing. The creators give him a homicidal, psychopathic, ruthless, sadistic, maniacal, lunatic, manipulative, intelligent and diabolical master criminal who wants nothing but chaos and anarchy wherever he goes, as well as reveling in the suffering of others. The Joker is given a high-pitched, comical, bouncy, silly, and over-the-top voice that occasionally stoops down to a slight growl, in accordance to his clown-like appearance and maniacal
ways. Just when people start to think that the Joker has finally been defeated, he
A character with a physical deformity is the Joker from the Batman movies. The Joker is a character with two cuts running from the corners of his mouth up his cheeks making him look like he is constantly smiling. The Joker paints his face with red, black and white and he also dyes his hair green. He enhanced his hideous features to make himself look like a clown. His character is radiating with confidence and he does not seem to fear anything.
The Joker’s constant twitching and licking of his lips as possible evidence of an oral fixation and would want to ask the Joker about his relationship with his mother. If we go ahead and believe that the Joker really did have and hate his abusive alcoholic father, then we would explore the conflict between the Joker and his father and as a result, the underdevelopment of a superego. In the second narration of the origins of his scars, the Joker tells Rachel that he once had a wife that was cut up by mobsters and that in an effort to make her feel better, he carves his own face and was devastated when she leaves him. If we believe this version of the story, then his anger from his father
