Hello felt weakest to pathos becuase it's the last thing that comes up to a person mind. When people are asked ot trying to ask they mostly use hello becuase it feels safe word to use. If the person say hey or hi it sound impolite. Even if they're asked they feel first, then think about, finally judge the person. The person react to feel since the heart then body react first. Thats why hello stongly suits the pathos due to the person body. The human body always feel instead of thinking about it and who the person is. For example if a person trying to talk to someone without being rude they would say hello first since it feels safe. It's like a person who recieve a phone call and once they hear it they heart feels it's right to answer the
I am currently a 3rd year nursing student at Ryerson University and have recently become extremely interested in physiotherapy. This summer, I had the amazing opportunity to work with the University Health Network as a Patient Observer, where I was able to discuss with many physiotherapists about the nature of their jobs. Every physiotherapist spoke with the utmost positivity when discussing their position even after numerous years of practice. This inspired me to pursue my goal of becoming a physiotherapist in the future as it is something I am very passionate about.
They also found that childhood sexual abuse was the most common trauma that lead to PTSD symptoms. These findings are in line with previous research on this topic or similar topics to this one. Although childhood sexual assault was the common, the authors noted that being stalked and being threatened produces the most severe symptoms of PTSD in the regression equation. Another finding that was consistent with previous research is that sudden death of a loved one was a traumatic even experienced more frequently by the participants. Even though this was a very diverse group in terms of ethnicity, it still found that men experienced robbery and stranger assault more frequently than women. These findings are also consistent with other research. The authors expressed that because the diagnoses were not based on research-based diagnoses but from clinical charts it may not be as reliable. They also noted that there may be some groups that were not represented in the study, such as those living with SMI in the inner
Hi Teagen! I agree with the idea that the expansion of suffrage to non-propertied white males in the 1820s and 1830s was an advancement in American political life. I found in the book that through the westward expansion, most of the new states in America allowed all white males to vote at the age of 21 (Faragher, 258). Also before 1800 only white males that owned property or were taxpayers could vote in most of the original thirteen states (Faragher, 257). This was important because it led to the presidential electors and governors to be elected by a direct vote of men from all classes, rather than by small groups of state legislators (Faragher, 258). I agree that this lead to delaying suffrage of white women and African Americans. This contradicts
I enjoyed your reading post. These are all the positive aspects of the ACA. Access to quality healthcare is important because it saves lives. Though this law has its challenges it's beneficial for US citizens. Case in point Canada's healthcare system . Every citizen has healthcare and it is paid through taxes. This law also helps medical professionals pay loans and gain scholarships. Some people are saying it's unethical due to the bill of rights. They claim that people living in the US only have rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. How can anyone have these three things if they are in poor health?
Hi Octavia. I also stated some of the same challenges you stated. It’s hard finding a balance between work, family, and studying. You want to be able to interact with your family once you leave work, but your focus should be on reading the next chapter. With me I can get side tracked easily. I’ll end up helping my little girl with her work and then she’ll want to go out for dinner or to play. Once I start to interact with her I lose track of everything. When everything is over, I have to go to bed for work. It’s hard but you have to have self-control. I must say in the past when I was taking online classes I had a great support team. My boyfriend was very understanding and supportive. Someone from my class was always available. It was a great
Maintaining relationships – by simply saying hello or goodbye to people and children in our setting is maintaining a relationship which involves a lot of our language and communication use.
Hi Micquaya. When I think of mental health itself, I do not automatically think of people that are suffering from a psychological issue. Mental health to me is just your psychological status. Mental illness causes me to think a psychological issue. The two are not the same in my eyes. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Physical health is just the status but if I were to say a physical disability it is completely different. The ways to promote good mental health are numerous. Taking care of your body is definitely a good way. Many times our mental status is directly related to our physical health. I know for me, it is hard to think clear when I do not get enough sleep.
The rhetorical appeal of hello is pathos. It is pathos because the word pathos pertains to emotion. you show emotion when you say or someone says hello to you. When a special someone says hello for the first time you quickly panic and all sorts of emotions cross you. It may be happiness or shyness. But if it is your girlfriend or boyfriend you may in love or love is what you are feeling, but if its someone like an enemy you may feel mad, or "hate". The rhetorical appeal that less pertains to the word hello is logos . logos corresponds to the appeal of logic you are not really persuading anybody. you do not talk them into saying hello to you. you don't give them explanations its their deception in the end. the rhetorical appeal
Members of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated have made everlasting effects on my life. Having mentors in this fraternity allowed me to see how every member feels responsible for improving the communities that they are from. They never hesitate to take the leadership roles that are needed to see change. I would like to become a member of Alpha Phi Alpha because it would allow us to share a brotherhood with great men, it will allow me to make valuable connections with other positive men around the world, and it will help me become the best version of myself. My desire to become a member of this fraternity began my freshmen year after I attended the first informational meeting. At this meeting I was able to speak with members and also learn from them. They each have strong leadership characteristics that allow them to serve on executive boards across campus and they all are high achieving students at Cornell.
The first paper is due by Monday, April 9, 11:59 p.m. You MAY use sources outside of the Liberty Search Engine (and are encouraged to do so). Also you may use scholarly books and not just journal articles. You should avoid using generic websites that do not appear scholarly in nature. A good rule of thumb is that if a website does not have an author, it is not a good source. Good online material has also usually been published in print at some point. Google Scholar and JSTOR are great places to search, as well as the online encyclopedias I've shown you. Always feel free to send me an email if you have questions about sources or formatting.

"Never be Afraid to Stand Up for what's Right." This statement is very powerful. Throughout the book To Kill a Mockingbird, this theme has been portrayed many times. Atticus is a main example for this theme. In every circumstance, or problem that he faced he fought for what was right, even if it was against the crowd. In the court room the setting of the theme was portrayed because Atticus was standing up for Tom and equality. Not only was he not afraid, he stood up for what was right even knowing he'd be called things like "a disgrace to the family" (chapter 13) and "a N- lover"(chapter 9). Throughout the plot we see Atticus standing up for what he believed in. Not only with Tom, but at the end of the book he even wanted to take
In the United States, starting salaries for teachers who have completed a four-year degree are far lower compared to many other professions, which also require a four-year degree. In most states, teachers must undergo testing and other rigorous certification requirements, but they are given the same consideration or status as beginning professionals in other areas. Although attractive incentives are offered, the compensation does not compare to the long hours of work and schooling required for a teaching career.
Individuals are perceived according to their facial expressions more so than the words they speak.
