Do you remember ever going to the zoo as a child? Most children love the zoo. They get to experience animals that they would not normally get to see every day. They also get to learn about those animals and many are greatly affected when they learn about one being endangered and learning that means that there are almost no more left. They want to learn how to help and that is where they learn that they can help. They learn that they too can grow up to be scientists, zoologists, rescuers, wildlife rehabilitators, or spokespeople for wildlife conservation, all of which are important to helping all the animals. Anyone can help by just visiting zoos because zoos rely on their visitors to continue to stay open, care for many amazing animals, and educate the public about wildlife around the world. The exhibits are also very fascinating, and after going to the zoo you can catch a glimpse of a certain animal's way of life. Without zoos we wouldn't have the unbelievable experience of seeing Earth's most beautiful life forms. Zoos keep endangered species safe, and out of harms way. We need to start caring about the life forms on this planet. Showing each animal compassion, and love. My knowledge on zoos has been stretched after my reading analysis today. Zoos have always been criticized because some claim that animals are being abused and mistreated due to the lack and care of certain zoos. However, zoos actually help many animals with research and are critically important for conservation purposes. People need to understand that zoos have programs that breed endangered animals as well as rescue programs for exotic animals that people are no longer able to support. Also, they have many hands on activities that allow people to get more connected to animals. In addition, zoos do not only focus on animals. They focus on environmental problems/concerns as well. Zoos help us stay educated about environmental impacts and animal care.

Zoos present a certain blend of nature and culture. They have always provided a way to bring natural wildlife and urban Americans together as a means of entertainment. Yet, throughout the years the role of zoos have changed. Though once used for amusement, zoos are now being used for education on preservation and the welfare of endangered species. One may wonder where and how the idea of zoos started and just how they, and the environment around them, have changed throughout history.

Some people go to zoos to see the wild animals, but that’s not all that they are for. People in groups such as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) may think that zoos cannot provide the needs to wild animals as the wild can. Zoos help animals. They have improved, helping to repopulate species and save animals in the wild.

People think that animals want to be in zoos, but they really do not. In some zoos the owners or zookeepers see how the environment is making the animals feel bad or good and they try to change it by giving the animals a similar habitat to where they came from. All three stories “The Stripes Will Survive”, “The Zoos Go Wild”, and “Our Beautiful Macaws and Why They Need Enrichment” deal with protecting animals but they all do so in different ways.

Some people may say that the zoo is the best place ever!,but i disagree with that. According to "zoo's connect us to the natural world's" by Michael Hutchins". In 2002 more than 140 million people go to the zoo everyday , but the don't know is that a zoo in Denmark had a giraffe and they killed it for no reason ,but the story behind it was " The giraffe went after the bread and right then the man shot it". The bad part about the whole thing was that when it had died they put it out where the zoo was and all though some people think that its good for there kids in my opinion its very bad ,because that's something that kids may love and its hard to sit there and watch them cut it open and show you . They were offered $ 7,000 dollars that away

The zoo is a zoo for a reason. Going to the zoo is a fun time created to spend quality time with your family, friends, co-workers, and etc.

In a trip to the Zoo you can experience all types of emotions brought upon by the animals or even other people. By the way the animals that you can touch and interact with can give you a sense of calmness and relief of stress, to the lion’s roar that can send a twinge down your spine and give you a feeling of fear as how powerful and mighty it is. With taking a trip to the Zoo, you will feel reassured that live has meaning and is more beautiful than an imagination could

In my opinion, the best part about going to the zoo is seeing all the different kinds of animals there. The animals vary from anything between butterflies to penguins. In front of where the animals are put, there is always a little podium showing information on that specific animal. That way, while your mind is blown

On July 07, 2017, I went to Los Angeles Zoo. I choose to go to the zoo because nature is a great part of the environment. While my visit to the zoo I learned many things. At the zoo, an individual can learn about many different animals, their habitat (physical place where a species lives; its environment), and many other interesting facts. Also, people can appreciate plants by seeing and reading about the diversity of plants. Plants are important because without plants we would not be alive. Plants provides us with oxygen and provides many animals food and shelter. The zoo also provides information of animals and plants endangered of extinction, which is important to be informed about because extinction affects everyone.

The word zoo is short for zoology(the study of animals) zoos protect animals. In the United States the very first zoo was in New York and there are way more than 1,000 big animals for the public to see. Zoos take harmed animals that live in the wild and keep them safe. The article “Zoos aren’t Victorian-era throwbacks: they’re important in saving species says that zoos are responsible for saving 10 iconic species, there are Australian zoos that form part of a vital global network to keep the most vulnerable species alive, keeping them alive is keeping them safe and the vital global network does that. Those animals will have better environments and will live longer since they are not around predators.

They help animals to live, and gives people a chance to see what their life is like. To begin, zoos give animals the proper care they need. The animals are provided with the right food and shelter. For every animal, they have their own space that is like their natural habitat. The state checks on every zoo to make sure it is clean, and the animals are good.

There are cages all around, sad animals lay inside them. The animals laying around a concrete enclosure waiting for the day to pass. The grass is dead, the enclosures are small, there is cemente all around. There is no nature only the living, breathing animals being put up for the entertainment of others. Many people call this a zoo. The Wright Park Zoo is one of the smallest zoos in Kansas based in Dodge City.There is not true benefit of having a zoo in a small town because not many people go. The younger members of the community are the only ones that are interested in visiting. The reason Dodge City has a zoo is to educate the visitors. The Wright Park Zoo is not doing that. The zoo lacks its purpose by neglecting to educate the visitors

Some people agree that animals should be kept in the zoo. They said it would be safer for the animals and they won’t be extinct. The amount of possibilities of them dying, shot by hunters or any other reason, still higher than the chances of their survival. Food and shelter are provided, medicine, and their breeding is being controlled. And many of the wild animals in zoos are ones that are on the endangered list as their amounts are rapidly diminishing. Letting them loose and returning them to the wild is not necessarily a safe option. (Mylot, 2007) In fact, zoo can be one of the educational studies for children and people who are interested with animals. Zoo is the only place that we can have an opportunity to see animal’s life really close and sometimes we can touch them. Zoos also provide lots of information about certain animals, children can have chance to get out of the classroom and learn so they can see natural beauty from different species of animals. Even children can see them from discovery channel but that’s really different if you see animal in real world, for an example, if you see crocodile, snake or shark in the movie, maybe you won’t afraid than you see the real one.
