Biography
Henry Ford, was an American industrialist, was born on July 30, 1863 in Wayne County, Michigan. (Biography) He’s the founder of the Ford Motor Company, and the sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production. (wiki) He was raised in his family’s farm near Dearborn, Michigan. Ford demonstrated mechanical ability and leadership qualities when he was young. He organized other boys to build water wheels and steam engines. Also he taught himself to fix watches. Henry Ford was fascinated by machines and was willing to pursue that fascination. He left home in 1879 to take an apprenticeship as a machinist at the Michigan Car Company. (TheHenryFord) He often switched jobs when he believed that he could learn more in another position. He returned home in 1882 and got married Clara Bryant in 1888. They have a son named Edsel Bryant Ford.
Several years later, Henry Ford was hired as an engineer for the Edison Illuminating Company. He learnt about electricity while working in the company. By 1896, he was promoted to be a chief engineer. (Biography) Henry Ford has experienced several failures building cars and companies, and by 1903. He established the Ford Motor Company. (Biography)
