Having everything happen at the park, none of that would’ve happened If Ponyboy or Johnny didn’t run away from their homes. They could’ve stayed at other friends homes or asked for help from Dally. A hero is a person who is selfless enough not to care about what others think and they do the right thing anyway. Heroes can be your regular everyday person like you and I. It just matters what they do to help others. The characters Johnny Cade, Dallas Winston, and Ponyboy Curtis, could be considered heroes in the novel, The Outsiders, for several reasons. The character, Johnny Cade, can be considered a hero for his many good qualities, but his heroic actions in saving children from a church fire, ultimately resulted in his untimely death.

Hinton, Darry, Johnny, and Dally all had the power to take a path and excel in life. Even though they made bad decisions in the path they took they all turned out to be heroes in the end. Darry, Johnny, and Dally are all heroes because they know the values of life and are willing to give it up to save another.

In The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, one central theme is Heroes can be the people you least expect. In The Outsiders Darry, Johnny, and Ponyboy are the heroes. Darry is a hero even if Ponyboy doesn’t respect that, Darry made so many sacrifices. He even could have made the choice to go off to college and leave his brothers behind to care for themselves but instead he stayed with them and cared for them through all of his sacrifices. In the beginning of the book you learn how much Darry Curtis gave up to stay with his brothers and take care of them.

    In the novel, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, there are 3 Greasers that are heroes. Johnny is a hero, for  many reasons, he is courageous, brave and he risked his life to save a lot of people. First, he saved Ponyboy from drowning in the fountain. Also, he saved some kids from the church that was on fire. Finally,  Dally is a hero, for reasons just like Johnny, he saved Johnny from dying in the church. Also, Ponyboy is a hero,he also saved the kids from the church that was on fire.

A hero is a person that is willing to risk his or her life in order to save another person's life. In the novel, The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton, Ponyboy, Dally, and Johnny all saved lives, helped others, and did risky acts in order to save lives. All of these three Greasers all showed a great act of a hero in the novel. First off, Ponyboy is courageous and not afraid to rescue and help people in times of needed. One example from the book is when the church caught on fire and Ponyboy rushes into the fire to save the school children .

The Outsiders, by S.E Hinton, is a novel which tells the story of two rival gangs from Oklahoma in 1965. The rivalry is between Greasers who are much poorer than their counterparts from the west-side, the Socials. Ponyboy Curtis is the narrator of this story, and it is through his eyes that the events unfold. In this classic, there three characters who stood out from the rest: Darry Curtis, Dally Whinston and of course, Johnny Cade. But, are they heroes? To answer this question, one must first know what a hero is. In my opinion, a hero is a person who, in the face of danger, adversity or from a position of weakness, display courage and self-sacrifice for the greater good.

Heros in the Outsiders S.E. Hinton wrote a novel that reflected upon a teenagers life, this was a book that classified how different everyone is and no one should lose their individuality. It represented how everyone can be a hero in different ways, physically or mentally. Heros are people particularly known for doing acts either big or small that benefit people when they are in need of assistance, their acts consist of bravery and grit, they have superior qualities to help people in any situation. They also help people make good decisions, Ponyboy, Johnny, and Darry showed this quality in extraordinary ways by helping each other out when they needed it the most. No matter who you are, you can be a hero. In the novel “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton, the book takes place in the 1960’s. There are two different groups of people where they live, the Socs, which are rich, spoiled teenagers from good families that also like to jump Greasers for fun. The other group are Greasers. They are the hoods, they are all brother like, they have greasy hair and not great home life.

Hero. This word is mentioned frequently, but what makes a person a hero? Is heroism only saving the world from villains trying to enslave the human race, or can it be a small act of kindness? Can it be both? Yes, for a hero is someone who is brave, courageous and helps others in need. In the book The Outsiders, by S. E. Hinton, Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally can be described as heroes because they are not afraid to step up, and help people. Ponyboy is a hero because he rescued people and befriended a soc. Similarly Johnny is a hero because he used his heroic qualities to help people. Finally Dally is a hero because of his kind and heroic actions towards Johnny. All three of these Greasers, Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally show that heroism is not only a matter of saving the world, but it is also a matter of doing something for someone else.

Who do you think is a hero or has shown heroism through their life. In The Outsiders, Ponyboy’s interests and behavior contrasts his gang. For example, he hates to fight unless he has to, unlike his friends who fight for the fun of it or because everyone is doing it. Though he is the oddball of the group he still displayed great heroism throughout the book. In S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, Ponyboy displays many heroic traits and is a risk-taker. He shows great courage, his personality, and his actions are respected by many people.
