Beowulf is a heroic poem that contains and exalts heroic Germanic ideals. Their sources can be found in legendary historical and heroic elements in Germanic folklore. The poem is the set of individual legends about the hero Beowulf that were gathered and recited by scopes. It is not know who collected the stories of Beowulf in a continuous narrative, or when it was released. Beowulf gives us a glimpse into the common life of the ancient inhabitants of England, the halls of their kings, and princes, and the emotions that moved them. They were brave but terrified of the dark and mysterious. They could fight the beasts, but the shadows, the impalpable, the unknown, made them defenseless. Loyalty to their leaders was undoubted, they were, and they lived for them. Their beliefs, which helped them move forward, the importance of the sea. Beowulf was undoubtedly a hero who fought for his own and to defend his honor. The tale begins when Hrothgar, king of the Danes, has suffered for twelve winters the attacks of Grendel. A monster of the marshes, a giant of human appearance, descended from Cain since God avenged in the race of Cain for the death of Abel. The monster tended to jealousy to old and young, attracted them and chased during the night, nobody knew the place where it resided. Beowulf, the hero of the poem, who had the strength of thirty men in his arms, took fourteen of the best warriors and departed to Herot. Once in the palace of Hrothgar, Beowulf waits for Grendel,
