Many heroes exists in todays world. Some are just fictional but the real ones are the ones worth mentioning. A true hero is a person who is willing to sacrifice everything for the well being of others. they're giving personalities cause them to give everything they can to help others. They are constantly in a race to fight for something beneficial to all.

Heroes can be defined in many forms. The classical heroes are strong and care about the other feelings. Their strength help them to fight with monsters and other mythological creatures. As Novalis, a famous German poet and philosopher once stated, “A hero is one who knows how to hang on one minute longer.” A hero does not show worry, but pushes through and can be courageous for only a little while longer than everyone else. Because heroes are people who put others before themselves, they must go above and beyond and not worry about their own safety.

A hero can be anyone from Ghandi to your classroom teacher, anyone who can show courage when faced with a problem. A hero is someone who is willing to help others in his or her best capacity.” Almost anyone can be a hero, as long as they have the courage and the maturity to understand and respect those who they attempt to help. Despite the fact that a hero cannot save everyone, being heroic is about placing others before oneself and strive to help those who need it the most.

Heroes are courageous in the most dangerous or the most deadliest situations. In this case, a news article that had the title of “Man climbs up a building to save a dangling child.” The man’s name is Liang Lee and he wasted no time to help the boy not fall. Lee courageously used his bare hands to climb up an apartment building, all the way to where the child was, saying “I got here and found the boy barely moving” he then carefully grabbed the boy and took him back down.

Heroes care not only for themselves, but for others. In the White House Funeral Sermon for Abraham Lincoln, “...not for himself only, not for us only, but for all people in all their coming generations till time shall be no more…” This means that President Lincoln took risks not to ensure his safety but to make sure that he would be known as a doer. Lincoln knew that what he was doing would revolutionize the way not only the way his generation would live but all future ones. This showed that he cared not only for himself but for people he would never get the pleasure of meeting. Back in World War II a true hero was born. One of the bloodiest battles of WWII, Hacksaw Ridge, was lucky to have Desmond Doss as a part of their medical team. He saved 75 people. Most in which others had left behind, for they thought that they weren’t saving. He cared about every single one making it back to base to be helped despite who was after him. What is true heroism? What does it entail? Does you need superpowers? Do you need to save people from crumbling buildings? Do you need to make everyone happy every time? Contrary to popular belief, the answer to these questions is no. A hero will always help others, is brave and helpful even in the face of insurmountable challenges, and doesn’t always make everyone happy.

In the end, looking back at people we consider to be 'heroes' in our world, we understand they cannot live up to impossible standards of perfection and satisfy everyone. But it is their true compassion for others at heart, and their positive influence in the world, despite the challenges facing them that makes one heroic.

Heroes are not always people who lead marches or do things for their country. For example policemen, firefighters, nurses, lifeguards etc. are heroes everyday because they take the time to save lives. When they’re going through a challenge or trying to overcome a conflict they always have courage. These people risk their own life to save someone else’s. To be more specific Dr. Ginger Holt from Dallas had saved a little boy’s leg. She was confident and determined to finding out what went wrong in the boy’s leg and went through many procedures looking at the tests.

“A hero isn’t measured by a size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” If you don't have a heart, you can't be defined as a hero. Heroism is being a leader, being brave ,and having courage.

In the real world, heroes can be identified by what they do in order to make things better for others, not necessarily themselves. These people are saviors and self-sacrificers. Sadly, heroes are not commonly found in our world, for it is much harder to be one than to applaud one, and nobility is a difficult duty to withstand.

Average everyday people face many challenges and overcome them most of the time, but there are certain challenges they just give up on. They start getting into a certain mindset where they claim they can’t overcome the challenge. A hero, however, sticks to the right mindset and keeps trying and getting better, despite the obstacles facing them. Even though they aren’t always able to save everything all the time, heroes risk and strive to reach their goals and do their best while exhibiting determination and modesty.

What is heroism? Things preformed Superman, Batman, or The Flash? This is what most people think about when they hear the word hero or heroism. Although these characters show heroism, the definition of heroism does not have to be narrowed to the stereotypical hero. Many people have different concepts on heroism. A hero can be a ordinary person like a firefighter or cop. Heroism is a attribute that a person can obtain but they have to choose actions that help others like a fearless firefighter or cop helping others. Heroism also does not call for a reward for being heroic. Heroism is a quality or an act in all of us that a person uses to benefit for the good of other people even if there is a risk.
