Heterosexua's Argument Against Homosexual Adoption

A child enters foster care every two minutes. Meaning by the end of this speech, at least three children will have entered. In 2012 there were about 397 thousand children in foster care. In 2014 there was almost 416 thousand. And the number keeps rising. In 2016 the number is supposed to rise 4%. While it may not seem much a 4 percent rise will make it almost 432 thousand. Almost twenty thousand more children will be in foster care. Which is why Homosexual couples should be allowed to adopt. With this many children in foster there is a need for parents that only straight parents cannot fill.
While straight parents may have “oops” babies, or “accidents”, this does not occur with homosexual parents. Most gay couples have a plan to have babies, whether chose to try and adopt, find surrogates or sperm donors, or use other methods. Many people are close minded and think the only acceptable home is one with a mother and a father that are married to each other, they may think that children need a mother and father for proper male and female role models, or even children raised by gay parents are more likely to be gay themselves. Whether you believe this to be true or not, the children that need to be adopted do not have parents at all. While many may say that being in foster care is better than being adopted by a homosexual family that is not true. Not all foster care families are warm and fuzzy. In many cases, foster families will abuse the children or take the money given to them by the state for the children and use it for themselves. And over the matter of whether they turn gay or not, isn’t it better for them to have families and homes than that they stay in foster care until they are lucky and a couple adopts them or until they turn 18 and are forced out of foster
