Hi Sveta, hope you are doing well. You mentioned you know someone, who works for a global nonprofit here in the Bay area. I am looking for an employment or internship opportunity now and trying to get in touch with professionals in this area. I have been working in human services after receiving my Master's Degree for more than 10 years, mostly in large international organizations and would love to get back into the field. So I thought maybe the friend of yours could advise me on the direction of my further search. I would appreciate if you can introduce me to her. I have attached my resume.

I was raised with the fundamental notion of service to mankind, I have always been interested in society’s injustices and problems, and being a catalyst for change. This has brought me to applying to the University of Central Florida’s Master of Nonprofit Management program within the School of Public Administration. I am currently a practitioner in Social Work and serve as the Director of Social Services at the Orlando Area Command of The Salvation Army. I have received my bachelors and master’s degree in Social Work from Barry University in Miami, FL.
The process of finding an internship was very stressful for me. I honestly had no idea where to start or even what I was interested in. It took me many weeks to do research into different facilities that had internships available. After calling tons of organizations I finally interviewed at one that felt right for me. The interview took place with Laura Crain, who I also interviewed for this essay. The internship is at the McHenry County Substance Abuse Coalition.
As two new co-advisors step up to lead HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America, Lisa Cardillo and Sarah Brink do their best to assist the club. The goal of HOSA is to introduce health careers to students, for the hope to enhance future health care. Students who are interested in the health related fields can benefit from joining the club since HOSA allows them to have an opportunity to shadow health professionals. Being dedicated towards the club and having motivation to lead, Cardillo and Brink use their experiences to help guide students to find their passion. Familiarizing themselves on how HOSA runs is a challenge for the new co-advisors; however, other obstacles that they have to face are planning field trips, and helping students

There have been court cases taken to trial where the evidence has been uncovered to have been retrieved under a violation of the Fourth Amendment, and consequently declared invalid. Such evidence was either obtained without a warrant or under unreasonable search and seizure. In cases where evidence is obtained under a violation of expectation of privacy, suspects can fight back in court and be held unaccountable for their crimes. They walk out of court with neither fines nor a sentence. With this said, evidence is off limits when retrieved under a violation of the Fourth Amendment. Otherwise, the evidence is valid and can be used to determine a criminal's luck from the moment the enter a court of justice.

This is a group of students who meet together weekly to discuss, pray over, and advocate for injustices around the world. As of first semester of sophomore year I have been one of the leaders of this group; through this, God has opened my eyes and broken my heart for victims of abuse, violence, and injustice in the world. I believe that God desires for our hearts to be broken for what breaks his heart, not just so we hurt, but so we wake up and help those who hurt. This is where my passion for nonprofit ministry lies, I hope to help those who are hurting; exactly what profession or ministry that will take me to, I am not sure, but I have full confidence that God will lead me to the right ministry when he sees fits.

Raquel Busko agreed to move to Syeda's class on Monday (7/18/2016); as long as she could occasionally visit or work in my class. The other two students (Demetrio Alvarez-Bahena and Veronica Sosa Tornero) did not attend class yesterday. I will update you with their decisions after I inform them.
As a junior at Bentley University, I am pursuing a double degree in Managerial-Economics (with a concentration in Information Technology) and Global Perspectives. In addition, I am undertaking a minor in Spanish for Business. I want to express my interest in the Risk Advisory Intern position with Grant Thornton LLP (Grant Thornton). I am especially fascinated by Grant Thornton’s dedication to the non-profit community. By upholding its commitment to sustainable business practices, partnering with Impact 2030, and promoting the GTUnited Volunteer program, Grant Thornton has surpassed its social footprint. I would be honored to join Grant Thornton’s mission in creating a meaningful impact.

The agency where I am completing my internship is called Center for Family Services. This organization provides a wide range of services. I am working in their Family First program. This program is a substance abuse program just for mothers who must attend drug court or have an open case with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency. These women are ordered to complete a substance abuse program. This program serves a diverse cultural and ethnic population who may have experienced trauma in their life. Many times, trauma and post traumatic stress can lead to substance abuse.
