Education is a long-term investment. We, as students, work hard to acquire knowledge and to hone our skills so that we may use them one day. The effort we put into a single assignment should be considered as both for that specific assignment and for our rounding as complete, educated individuals. And with this mindset, students should be motivated even more to put more effort and hard work into academics, with the goal of bettering themselves for the future and advancing their prospects as individuals. And with this hard work and effort will come progress, and this progress should be reflected in the grading—not necessarily on individual assignments, but on the student’s education as a
Considering my personality, based on the “Big 5” personality traits, extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience, I scored on the high end of the moderate range. As for the openness to experience, I scored a 9 out of 10 ranging in the high level of personality factor (Project 2, BMAL-500 D, McGraw Hill Connect, Liberty University, 2017). I feel as if though this is accurate as I am generally outgoing and enjoy the company of others.
Final exam score decides which direction you will go in the future. As a result, a lot of talented students who didn’t get good scores might lose their chances to go further. So, whether students, teachers or parents pay much more attention to scores than the actual ability they have got. Even though you didn’t regularly attend the class, hand in your homework on time, you can still get high mark on your final
Scoring in context: This feature offers the users an overall grade plus one grade per exam objective (as defined by CompTIA) so they know where they stand.
People with low self-esteem were often given messages—from parents, teachers, peers, or others—that failed experiences (losing a game, getting a poor grade, etc.) were failures of their whole self. Self esteem is also based on the contingency of self-worth; this refers to specific domain in people’s lives that they consider important for their self –esteem.
When I took the personality test, I was rated as an introvert, meaning a score a six percent. Being an introvert mean that I prefer to be alone,
Individual with this disorder is extremely competitive but has a low self-esteem. Individuals with this disorder have an obsessive need of knowing how highly others view their achievements, which resulted in their difficulty in forming any relationship with peers and co-workers. They give in 100 % of their effort, and expected to earn 100% of the result. Individuals with this disorder suffer from great distress if what they did was not consider “perfect” for them, and they often compare themselves with their peers and coworkers.
Apparently whichever dimension you score the highest will be whichever you value the most. According to the assessment money anxiety was my highest score which was 20. A high anxiety score means you tend to view money as a source of anxiety. In other words I tend to worry about money a lot. This makes sense to me because I literally budget my money a certain way and if I don’t have enough money, my stress level will be high. My score of retention trailed right beyond scoring at 19. This score means I tend to be a careful financial planner. This score is absolutely true. I can’t see myself ever going hungry because I budget my money very wisely. The last score was power at 11. This means someone tends to impress others by influencing money. My score is low in the power department and I agree with the assessment. I could care less about influencing others with money and I am not easily influenced by flaunting money. This score doesn’t really give a clear indication with the overall score raring but apparently the highest score is a 60. With my score of 50, I believe this means I give money a lot of attention. I don’t want to say I put money above all because I don’t but I do know that money is a
There are myriad unforeseen consequences when schools use the traditional grading system. For the past century, traditional grading practices and policies that have contributed to much of the failure of student achievement. The use of the traditional grading system has slowly led to the major issue of grade inflation. Most often students’ grade tend to be inflated with the help of non-academic factors such as homework, participation and student effort. High school teachers tend include effort as part of the grade, giving high grades to students who work in class despite whether they
Farber’s view on the grading system is accurate. The grading does more bad than good, causing students to get stressed and not learn. Students’ spend most of their
According to my IPIP-NEO narrative report I am a very independent, outgoing, calm, and curious person. My comprehensive report shows that I am: high scoring in openness, conscientiousness, and extraversion, average scoring in agreeableness and low scoring in Neuroticism. Raking in the 82nd percentile, extraversion was my second highest scoring trait. This means I am pretty outgoing, extraverted and love people. This is evident my scores of 89 in friendliness, 84 in assertiveness and 75 in activity level. Despite my high score in extraversion, I am on the lower side of average in the excitement-seeking facet with a score or 33. This means that even though I might like a little hustle and bustle and take charge I wont take to many risks and don’t always need a thrill to be satisfied.
Just like every human on the earth, the Virtuoso has strengths and weaknesses, almost all of which I identify with. As far as optimism and energy go, I identify with that very well. I enjoy working on projects I am passionate about and I do “go with the flow”. I do also believe that I am flexible. I can change and adapt my thinking to fit a situation and find solutions even in times of crisis. I am also very relaxed and easy going.
I am in the 80th percentile for avoidance and the 75th percentile for accommodation. On the other hand I have a fairly moderate compromising and competing score. My score for compromising was just below the 60th percentile, while my score for competition was in about the 45th percentile. Lastly, my score for collaborating was extremely low. It fell in only the 10th percentile. This indicates that I overuse the avoiding and accommodating styles of conflict management. I am fairly close to the median for the competing and compromising, which indicates that for the most part I use these styles the appropriate amount. While I could probably use some improvement on my use of competing and I could collaborate a little less often, these scores are the closest to being at the median. My collaborating score is very low, which indicates that I am underusing this style of conflict management compared to the
We should be brave and do things that we want to do. Besides, we should act out or do something to desire and not of force or duty. We should always express our feelings clearly and directly with three word sentence, so that we can let feelings guide us through life. Independent, self-reliant and morally autonomous also shows one with high EQ. High EQ is definitely not motivated by power, wealth, status, fame or approval but feelings, comfortable talking about feelings, immobilized by fear or worry, and able to identify multiple concurrent feelings.
I am more judging over prospecting, meaning that I like to have one or two plans and stick with it, I strongly dislike changing the plan that I created in the first place. Additionally, judging individuals put their work before anything else, which relates to me, I must have all my homework done and other tasks before I go out. The results showed that I was highly observant, which is true I always make sure to know my surroundings, and I keep my focus on one thing. I am also very quiet when I first meet new people due to watching them to see what kind of person I think they are before I get close to them. It was also slightly accurate that I feel more than I think, it depends on the day and situation though. I do follow my heart in a lot of situations, but I do not like individuals to know that my feelings are hurt. Although, sometimes I do not have to say anything it is obvious to see. I hate conflict and will do anything I can to bypass
