After high school I would be interested in going into a job that I will be doing some type of excavation or welding. My grandfather has always ran excavators and D10 bull dozers for his job and I have been interested in that sort of work ever since. I have ran a mini excavator before and I actually liked running it. It was a little hard to get used to the way it works at first, but once you get the hang of how it moves and how sensitive it is then it isn’t so bad. There are different jobs that you can do in excavation. You can work on Natural Gas Well sites, work in the coal mines, etc… The main industry I am looking to go into is Natural Gas Distribution. That is the highest paying job there is to do with excavation. Going into the Natural …show more content…
To me a GED is not good enough, so I am going to push myself really hard so that I can walk across the stage and get my high school diploma. With me having my high school diploma it will be a lot easier to get jobs with than it would be with a GED. It is not that hard to operate an excavator or bull dozer, so I don’t think that I will have to go to college to be an operator. I am also wanting to do welding in my line of work also, so since that I am not very good at welding I would most likely have to go to a technical school to take classes on learning how to weld …show more content…
I love being on a machine and running equipment. I feel that if I am not doing anything physically active that keeps me busy, then I feel like I am not even doing anything in my line of work. So I picked a job that I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life and would also keep me busy so that don’t get bored with my job after 15 years of working here. The hour pay for doing excavation in the Natural Gas Distribution is $41.28. The year salary for the Natural Gas Distribution is $85,860. I would most likely be working 40 hours in a week, 6 days a week. With this job that I am wanting to get into, the benefits that include in the job are retirement plan, health insurance, five paid days off, and paid
CCIB Intake received a call from Katherine Wills (559) 786-5780 who disclosed that she is an epileptic. According to the caller she was diagnosed approximately 13 years ago and has worker for Senaida Garcia CDC for approximately 5 years. During her tenure at the Developmental Center they have provided her with an aide especially when she is outdoors due to her seizures. Consequently the caller has suffered seizure episodes during her care and supervision time with the children, fortunately an aide or other teacher has been available during those times. Recently due to schedule changes she is left alone daily from 3:15PM to 3:30PM when the aids are no longer available. At 3:30PM she joins the other class for the last hour of her day. The caller
“The median annual wage for line installers and repairers was $58,210 in May 2012. The median wage is the wage at which half the workers in an occupation earned more than that amount and half earned less. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $30,340, and the top 10 percent earned more than $83,590. The median annual wage for electrical power-line installers and repairers was $63,250 in May 2012. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $36,500, and the top 10 percent earned more than $89,020.” (Occupational outlook). That’s very good for guy with no college degree. The benefits are very good as well. A lineman will receive life insurance, dental and doctor insurance. Lineman also get a very good Christmas
In my opinion, Billy Collins could be appreciating the simplicity and organization of sonnets, or (as the evidence suggests) he may dislike how standard and uniform they are. He begins by just listing how many lines are in a poem, “All we need it fourteen lines.” He does not see a sonnet as anything more than fourteen lines on a paper. It is not until the very end of the poem, that Collins gives characters and a brief story to his poem. He also compares the lines, and the structure of the poem to “rows of beans.” This further suggests to me that he finds sonnets boring and rigid. In the final six lines of the poem, Collins summarizes the ideas of “longing and heartache” that are often found in sonnets. This shows that Collins believes
After high school I have strong intentions on moving forward with my education by going to college. By going to college I attend to further expand my knowledge in a field that I am interested in pursuing, so that I can
Two things make your life easier. Courage and determination. From who you have to sit next to at dinner to who your father is forcing you to marry, these two things have always done the trick. In the novel, Catherine, Called Birdy, by Karen Cushman, the author proves through Catherine that it is possible to get through your life, regardless of how bad it seems, by using courage and determination.
The thing that I like best about the job is that the pay seems to be good and welder get paid above minimum wages.
A high school diploma is important in my future because, it will open doors for me in life. With earning my diploma I could apply to colleges to continue my education and have a good career, it says a lot about a person. Meaning that you are well educated even if you don't go college. You will have the upper hand on getting hired on at any job you apply for, with or without experience. Obtaining my high school diploma will be one of my best accomplishments, I could finally show my family that I’m not a screw up and I’m capable of more things. My main goal is to get my high school diploma, continue onto college and have a career started so I could have a better future. I will not work a minimum wage for the rest of my life in a warehouse, I
Our Communities have come to citizens with little to no patience. They have no motivation to change something if it takes a long time to achieve. One may often time put off the problem and procrastinate, or they will never make the change. This system goes through the grueling stages one must endure and persevere through to get this change. The four stages of the Transtheoretical Model of behavior Change by Prochaska that help shows these divisions, are precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action stage, and maintenance stage. The first stage of change is precontemplation in which individuals may be cognizant of the change that they desire, however, they have no motivation to alter this problem. Often times this may be due to an inadequacy of insight into their problems. It is also within this
A career I would be interested in pursuing is being a park ranger. This job interests me because I love spending time outdoors and with people. It also is an interest of mine to keep our wonderful parks and woodland environments safe and to have them still be around for many more generations to come.
The Italian city of Pompeii, suited as home to more than 20,000 people over 2000 years ago. Pompeii is known as one of the most fascinating and mysterious places for modern day archaeologists. Unfortunately, in 79 A.D., there was a massive eruption of Mt.Vesuvius near Pompeii that caused the city to fall under cover of ash.
Why you should consider becoming an electrician. An electrician gets to work with many tools and devices that help him do his job, in my opinion an electrician is under-rated, some people think that being an electrician is mainly working on a job site in buildings outside in the cold, I believe that is looking at the start of a electricians career, however ounce a person becomes a master electrician then they can work on much bigger projects such as wiring a space shuttle or inventing a new piece of technology. As well after earning the rank of a master electrician you can make much better money which will be enough to live comfortably while enjoying your work.
59.8% of American citizens are employed as of last month if you plan to be successful. As a high school student I am getting prepared for what is coming after college or the work force. when I was little I wanted to be a professional football player as I got older I realized that it was a very slim chance of me getting into the NFL. So therefore I am preparing two other career choices just in case my dream doesn't work out. If the NFL didn’t work I would be either a welder or a Motor sports salesman. The most important points about my job is the pay, job outlook, and what I would do. The jobs are pretty similar they are both in the Automotive field. But they are both different because in welding a welder would be outside almost all the time because it is hot in a shop. If I was a salesman I could be outside or inside to sell the vehicles.
There are lots of ways to further your education. Most everyone instantly thinks about college as the next step in their education after high school. Some people just simply aren’t ready for college yet, or do not think that it is their thing. The next thing people consider is to join the workforce out of highschool. That is not always the best idea because you do not get any education by doing so. A better way to further your education would be to join the military. The military can give you education in things that no college is able to, help with expenses (including helping pay for college while you serve), and has an interesting daily lifestyle that is unique and different than college would be. The job I want to do in the military is to
Pipeline welding is a very hard and rough job. There is a lot of work and dedication needed to accomplish this job. My personal career plans are to go to a technical college to further my knowledge, ability to weld, and also obtain my osha10 card. I feel that this job suits me well due to the fact that I can weld and work hard. The
Once highschool ends, you will think you are already done with school, and you can finally be free, and you are kind of right. However, your college education should not stop at high school, as high school only teaches you a few things. Going to college will teach things outside of just learning some basic math and writing formats. College will prepare you for life as well. By going to college, you will earn more, be more employable due to your accumulation of knowledge, and you will live a healthier life. College is not for everyone, but if you prefer a secure future then it is suggested to go to college. By pursuing business without a college degree, you could lose all your money and everything you have worked for at any moment if you are not cautious. With a college degree, you can earn a decent salary with a secure job.
