My goals in high school mostly include keeping a steady, high GPA that is a pretty high three, I hope to make new/more friends and to keep not having a missing assignment every school year. Once I graduate high school I plan on going to a good college though i'm not quite sure where yet. I dream of going into the medical field once I finish college, maybe a veterinarian or one of the many other kinds of doctors for both people and animals. I'm not sure yet about fulfilling a military or army based future, but it does fall under consideration. I have also though about not fighting in the military or army, but doctoring the men and women that do fight. Even though my career decisions are still undecided, I am positive that I will do the
James Mason Wood said, “Education today, more than ever before, must see clearly the dual objectives: education for living and education for making a living.” When people go to school because they have to, then it is only education for living. When people try hard and get a good education, then they get good jobs to make a living. West Texas A&M University, home of the Buffaloes, will provide me with new skills to learn about the medical field and can assist me to become an anesthesiologist.
I am a 17-year-old junior at Port Saint Lucie High School. I plan on graduating with high honors and getting scholarships for college. When I graduate, I don’t plan on “taking a break” I plan on enrolling to a four-year college. I want to study in the medical field. I’m planning on majoring in being a nurse, or a registered nurse or a paramedic. My top two choices for colleges are located in Boston Massachusetts which are Northeastern University and Boston University. While being in college I also plan to have a part time job that will help me pay all my expenses.
Some people say that with dedication, persistence, and time people can accomplish any goal. Others say that people are limited in what they can accomplish and need to be realistic when setting goals.
Goals, goals, goals they're what people think about and how they are going to achieve them in the future. My three goal in life are to get in the college of my choice, go skydiving and to get a well paying job. These three goals are important to me because they are what I am likely to achieve within the next ten years. As I grow and blossom into someone big, someone bigger than who I am today I don’t mean just physically but bigger intellectually, and more capable. These goals show me that if I want to achieve them, then I have to work hard to accomplish them.
As most of my peers, I have been asking myself a question, what do I want out of my life? This question bothers many people, and not only the college students who are trying to figure out the path that will lead them to the comfortable life. One might ask, what is that comfort that we all are striving for? Is it a state of mind or is it some unknown world that we are so eager to enter. It varies from person to person; there are several aspects, such the way were raised, making, of our lives that could influence a person and the future decisions that we’ll make.
As a child and even as a teenager one tends to make dreams and set goals for life. On occasion these goals are far stretched and sometimes even fairy-tale like, we tend to see life through a rose-colored glass, not taking into account the many sidetracks life throws our way. At that stage in life our goals tend to be less focused and somewhat unreachable. However, the process of growing up, or maturing, tends organized and center our goals, we learn to make compromises and set goals for our goals. There are different types of goals, short term and long term. I have learned to separate the many goals I have into three main categories: family, professional and personal.
To me, entering college will be a chance for me to take control of my life and begin a new journey. My primary goal as a student is to nurture my love for learning as I believe that we are all lifelong students. I am prepared to take advantage of the intellectual freedom offered in college and I am keen on participating in workshops, attending seminars, and going on educational excursions as these activities would create an exciting environment for learning. Staying motivated, collaborating with my peers, and engaging in class are qualities that are essential for me to achieve my goal. I plan to ask my professors questions as they are well versed in the facts that are not in the textbooks and have hands-on experience. I will prepare myself
Goals My grades this semester have been satisfactory, but I think they could improve. My short-term goal for this semester is to get straight A’s. All my life I have primarily been a straight A student and it comes to my surprise that earning an A in college is a lot harder. Halfway through the semester I had straight A’s
One of the best ways to follow a successful path is to set goals for yourself. They are important to keep yourself on task and to get to a desired point of self fulfillment. The issue can be how to achieve goals in a successful manner. The issue is "Although people may desire or intend to attain some outcome, they are not committed to that as a goal until they are willing to invest affect, cognition, and behavior in attaining it" (Traci Mann, 2013). This is why it is important to have a set path on how to accomplish important goals. I have chosen three goals that I want to accomplish to demonstrate a Process known as SMART, to help accomplish them. There goals are that I want to finally earn a college degree(personal), I want to make it
When you don’t make a plan, then plan to fail. These are the words to live by. This year 8th grade has been challenging, but I want to make it easier. With the right plan, I will make a difference in the outcome of this school year. That’s why I am making my academic goals. I would like to try to get a 3.0 or higher, I will increase my NWEA test scores and I will my improve my behavior.
A person needs to achieve certain goals in one's life before you can call them successful. Success is to achieve goals, you have set. I have set certain goals I would like to achieve in my lifetime. Some of these goals are personal while others are professional. My professional goals in life are to find a good job that makes me happy, get a good education, find a job that makes enough money for me to support my family, and help people. Goals it is very important for me to receive a good education. Most job fields require a descent education. If I don't have an education I would not be able to function properly at the work place and I would not understand what to do. To maintain a good job that will make good money will require me to go
Goal 1: My current self-conflict with my dream to work in industrial design, and the reality of graduating with degrees in psychology and human biology, is a significant cognitive strain for me. Finding a clear vision of what I can do with my degree to work in the realm of industrial design would be a big resolution of my tension, relieving any regrets and doubts about what I had chosen to study for the last five years. My future would look clearer and I would know what steps I need to take in order to reach the goal, which in turn make my next months more efficient and valuable. Most importantly, I would have a career that actually compels and excites me, allowing me to live out the cliché, “Do what you enjoy!”
Starting off with my short term goals. An important short term goal for me is to improve my English language proficiency for many reasons. Firstly would give me the ability to help me with my life in many ways which include the ability to easily contact other people from around the world when I travel abroad. Improving my English language wouldn’t just be for the benefit for travelling or contacting people, It has become an important issue that gives me the ability to help expand businesses around the world and it is a good way for increasing my opportunities to find a good job.
My whole life I have always wanted to become a successful engineer, and graduate from the University of Cincinnati. Some of my goals in life are to go to the University of Cincinnati. Another one of my goals is to become some type of engineer. But as of right now I would like to be a aerospace engineer. To be honest I really don’t know what influenced me to want to become and engineer. But something about engineering always appealed to me for some reason. But lately my engineering teacher has had a positive impact on me and is really making me like engineering and the overall field. So I guess that Mr. Smith has influenced me into being an engineer. My plan b is to be an engineer too. But this type of engineering would just be easier to
I am super excited for this year and can’t wait for your class because you are a super nice teacher and seem really great. I’ve been at Pine Lake Prep since second grade and I have really loved it ever since. High school is definitely different than what I thought it would be like, but overall I think it’s super fun and by far my favorite building out of all of them. It might seem weird but truly I like school because I can show how organized I am with my school supplies. Shopping for school is probably one of my most favorite things to do over the summer. I like it so much because there are so many different kinds of pencils or pens to choose from. That makes it super fun for me to just adventure around the whole store searching for all these types of supplies. On the other hand some of my goals for this school year would have to be trying to get all straight A’s and getting better in every subject. Overall I feel that school is just a really important priority for me because you’ll need it for college and through life.
