The plot to High School Musical is that the male main character, Troy, meets the female main character, Gabriella, at a New Years party. During the holiday break, Gabrielle moves to Troy's school district, and they see each other in the hall when school starts again. Troy and Gabriella are thrilled, but there's a catch. Troy is a jock, who plays baseball, and Gabriella is a brainiac, who's trying to start fresh. Together they fall in love and find a mutual love of theater. Consequently, Sharpay and Ryan, who are consistently given the lead roles, feel threatened. They try to break up Troy and Gabriella while the brainiacs and the basketball team cooks up a plan to do the same. In the end, Troy and Gabriella end up together, and everyone else is ok with it. Add some predictable plot twists, and a few cheesy musical numbers and you have High School Musical! Highschool Musical sounds exceedingly similar to Romiette and Julio. People are trying to break up the main couple, but they push through and stay together anyway. There are multiple other stories with similar plot lines, such as Cinderella. I hope that the story ends well for Romiette and Julio just like it did for so many other
Sep. 23rd - The LR9 ,as they named them selves, are returning to the high school but there is a huge crowd of angry white people
The purpose of this paper is to explore the how the adolescent developmental period is portrayed through media through the generations. Each generation has a different way of showing the different stages of adolescent development and while some of these adolescent personality patterns and behaviors are often the same across generations, I have noticed significant differences in the way the adolescent society is portrayed through media. The two movies that I chose to compare were Mean Girls and Boyz N the hood. Both of these films are full of teen stereotypes that are relative to the generational times they were each made in. For example, one of the first stereotypes that I noticed while watching Mean Girls was the fact all of the character

Hold on! I haven't forgotten an update this weekend! It's just kinda sorta late is all... but well worth the wait. Valentines weekend brought us the release of Deadpool in all it's R-rated foul-mouthed, dirty humor goodness!
A true high school has no happy ending. There is no “happily ever after”, there is no good kid who stays out of trouble and ends up becoming the most popular kid in school. There is no ugly kid who ends up dating the most popular girl in school. All of that is a fantasy thought up to keep middle schoolers from being scared of growing up. Because no matter where you live, highschool is a dark place.

Five students from very different backgrounds meet on a Saturday for detention with their principal. The contrasting group includes the athlete, Andrew (Emilio Estevez), the princess Claire (Molly Ringwald), basket case Allison (Ally Sheedy), brain Brian (Anthony Michael Hall), and criminal John (Judd Nelson). The principal assigns them an essay on “who you think you are,” and leaves them to do it. During this time each of them has a chance to finally tell his or her story, making the other see them a little differently. When the day ends they question if school will ever be the same (Carroll).
High school in real life is full of surprises, but according to David Denby in his article "High School Confidential," High School in the movies is very predictable. The typical Hollywood "High School Scene" opens with the jock and the cheerleader characters. Blonde and buff, the Jock and the Cheerleader are superficial and proud to proclaim it. They are popular and perky, and always too good to be true. The cheerleader is usually the enemy of the hero or heroine. She is generally rich, blonde, and queen bee of the social circle, with no sense of selflessness. The jock is usually the bully, muscular, good looking and not very smart.(Denby 343) In an essence, the male counterpart of the cheerleader. The Jock and the Cheerleader are almost
Humorous, energetic, enjoyable and all-around fun, Legally Blonde: The Musical captured my attention from the get-go. This comical yet heartwarming musical portrays the story of a young woman following an ex-love to Harvard Law School only to realize the potential she possessed within herself and in the new life she creates for her own. After viewing this hit Broadway production, I am fascinated with how this theatre play was brought to life on stage with the lighting, sound, spacing and overall entertainment from the cast to the costumes. Altogether, this play is one of my all-time favorite productions and it is one that keeps my attention from the moment it takes off to the closing of the curtain at the end.
Hey guys it's Haley, and I finally found a chunk of time to write! I have decided to make a final part of "The High School Terrors", since I got into my top high school! So as for the 2016/2017 school year, I will be attending Ronald Reagan High School! Since two weeks have passed since I was accepted to Reagan, I already enrolled! It may seem like I'm going a little fast-paced, but I always had a feeling that Reagan was the perfect high school for me.. In fact, I know what goes on at Reagan (the program) and I know a lot of people who will also be attending Reagan! So this is going to be an interesting ride.. As for my other high schools, I was accepted into Rufus King and Hamilton, but I was wait-listed by Audubon; which isn't a big deal
Many people say that high school should be the best four years of your life. Most of us entered high school with this idea in mind, determined to enjoy every second of it. The confidence and energy that we held that first September allowed us to dive right into what has been an amazing four
I remember when I first watched High School Musical the movie. I knew all the words and choreography to every song and dance they showed during the movie. As a kid, I was excited to go to high school because of the movies I’ve seen about it, high school musical in particular; and they made it look awesome. However, when I got to high school it was nothing like the movies. High School Musical with a plot similar to a modern Romeo and Juliet, is a teen comedy starring two students from opposite social groups who eventually fall in love. Troy Bolton who is played by Zac Efron, is the captain of the basketball team and is known as the definition of “cool” at East High School. While Gabriella Montez played by Vanessa Hudgens, is a transfer student who is in love with mathematics and science, is trying to figure out where she fits in at East High School.
High School Musical, begins when High School Basketball Jock, Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), and Mathlete, Gabriella Montez, meet over Christmas break at a teen party, where they sing karaoke together unexpectedly. After the break, Troy
