It was my freshman year of high school when I took Drawing A; I quickly learned that I had a skill that I had previously ignored and began embracing it. There are many different microstock agencies available on the internet for you to post your photos on and make money when they are downloaded, but which ones should you join? Is Shutterstock the best one to join as many people imply? There are some advantages and disadvantages to joining Shutterstock, but if you are serious about making money by selling microstock photography, Shutterstock is a must.

Why is there so many unnecessary rules at Northwestern High School. For example, we should be able to have other drinks then just water. Also we should be able to go get lunch outside of school. In conclusion it is my hope that the school will make some changes to their roles.

I have chosen five pictures. The first is of three girls. The bottom one is me, the one on top of me is Kaialani, and the one on top of her is Kyla. Kaialani and Kyla are my sisters. I chose to put them in my collage because they have helped shape my personality in every way possible. Those two girls are very, very, very important people in my life.

Junior High is a scary thought. You are little and going to school with the big kids. It wasn’t to bad after I got used to it.

Since I started being inundated with talk of college at the beginning of high school, my mom, aunt, friends, and even teachers have instructed me to follow a “traditional” postsecondary route like engineering, law, or medicine. There is more encouragement in the black community to go into those fields. Art was never perceived to be as worthwhile. With this photograph as the impetus of my passion for art, I dived more into this new world for the first time, not caring about the opinions of the people around me. I searched techniques, art-related careers, and different forms of expression. My brain soaked in this knowledge like a sponge. I took the initiative to find more information and learn as much as possible about photography. As I applied the new knowledge, I continued to create art. My mind visualized new projects I could do based on the weather, from the way I see the color of the sun coming down over the Chicago skyline, to accurately depicting black women in Chicago taking snapshots of reality that would otherwise be forgotten by the following month. Photography even became my diary, an outlet for when I want to take a break from the stress of trying to become a successful black woman. More than a century ago, Mark Twain penned a famous line neatly distilling the distinct cultures of three of the largest cities in the Northeastern United States. “In Boston they ask, ‘How much does he know?’ In New York, ‘How much is he worth?’ In Philadelphia, ‘Who are his parents?’.” Although these cities are hundreds of miles away from my focus, the fundamentals are parallel.

In high school, I was very involved with the school’s musical theatre program. I loved to act and sing, and I was pretty good at both, but I never got a part better than being in the ensemble. This was because I was not part of the “privileged” group of students.

Our community would benefit from an art school in many reasons like it's a chance to create and inspire, It is healthy for the mind and body, and It extremely beneficial for the future. All of these show how an art school would show a major impact in our community and our kid’s mindsets.

I have always been known as an athlete. My parents were both avid athletes in their youth, and throughout middle school I participated in every sport I could. Throughout high school, as line one signals in tennis and the starting striker on the soccer team sports seem to define me, however, there is more to me than running around on a field every day after school. Every Wednesday, I can be found in Yearbook club creating layouts, editing photos, and collaborating with my fellow editors. Not long after joining yearbook I discovered that I was able to express my creativity in a way sports had never let me. I had always dabbled in the arts, but yearbook was my first time committing to my creative side and allowing myself to innovate with design.

Ever since a few years ago I have always wanted to become a photographer. I feel as if photography flows through my veins and out my finger to snap the perfect picture. I started out by taking pictures of things in my backyard, and they turned out really good and ever sense then I have been taking photography. As shy as I am going to Cranbrook has changed the way I look at my photography and the way I look at the world in general, but most of all not being not so scared to meet new people. At first I was extremely scared to go to the school, no part of me wanted to even go. But, when you get an opportunity like what I did, take it! You won't regret it.

When living in Seattle, WA with my mother, things were not going well. I moved back to Atlanta with my father when I turned 11 years old. Ever since then, many blessings have come into my life. I attained the hobby that allured to me the most which is photography. My love for photography started five years ago. In seventh grade, I used an old digital camera to take photos of casual subjects such as animals, nature, and portraits. In Eighth grade, my parents bought a professional digital camera for the family, but I ended up using it way more than intended. That was when I built up the quality of my work and my photography improved. I consider myself as a bubbly person and If I am passionate about something, I will work for it. My extracurricular activities inhere of photography, marching band, and soccer.

While others claim that photography captures the inner soul of a person, or deliberately defines it as painting or writing with light, but in my case, it is just simply a newfound love hobby. I undeniably adore and look up to expert photographers I encounter down the road may it face-to-face or the other way around. In my heart, I silently desire that someday, with hard work, determination, and perseverance, I will become professional and famous as they are. Since my husband bought a Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) as an anniversary gift, my penchant for photography commenced and ignited. Let me detail the essential truths behind my passion over photography.

There is many classes and clubs you can take for your interests and needs. Some of these are art class, home ec., gym, or mass media. Today, I will be talking about art class and the benefits of taking it. There is so many things you can learn in that class.
