Overview of the organisation
Hillsong CityCare was created to help people by creating paths and giving those people who need tools to aid them in future. Their goal is to strengthen families and help build up communities and their descendants. Australia is a multi-lingual society; Hillsong CityCare helps to create bridges so that people understand each other. They created English as a Second Language classes which are free to everyone. Many of the students they have are from different countries. Students who attend the ESL classes are there because of employment, tertiary education or just to be able to communicate in society. Classes range from elementary to upper intermediate. They also offer short breaks between the lessons to allow students and teachers to interact informally. (Hillsong, 2006)
